There was once a man that thought he knew everything, and he kept showing

off to the people in his country. As time passed, many people began to feel,

故事大意是这样的：作者的父亲出生在旧社会，在很小的时候就失去了母爱;为了生计，祖父把未成年的父亲送到了县城边上的一户财主家当长工。在那里作者的父亲给人家当牛做马，披星戴月地干活儿，度过了悲惨的少年时代。读到这，我感受到一个父亲的艰辛与不易——父亲是家庭的支柱，承受的压力是巨大的。

作者的父亲成家后，又经历了土改、互助组、人民公社，作者姐弟七人相继来到了人世。在“大锅饭”的年月，像作者这样人口较多的农户，大人们一年到头没日没夜地苦干，还是不够吃。因为作者家孩子多劳力少，父亲不得不经常去队里加班，为的是能多挣一些工分，好能稍稍改变拮据的生活状态。长年累月的超负荷劳作，使父亲落下了一身毛病、最终因腰椎结核医治无效，撇下一群年幼的儿女，离开了人世。

俗话说“父爱如山，母爱如海”，父爱如山，因为父亲是严肃、认真的。但有时他也是幽默的、善解人意的。母爱如海，因为母亲总是能够去包容我们，谅解我们。虽然偶尔这片“海”也会泛起一些波涛，但是从一字一句的批评中，包含着母亲对我们的期望与关爱。

还记得一个晚上，我翻来覆去睡不着觉，于是干脆起床看书。但过了一会儿我的身体好像在热水中烧一样，全身无力。那时已经是深夜十二点左右了，借着最后一丝力，我摸索到爸爸妈妈的卧室轻轻拍了拍门，出来开门的爸爸见我浑身无力，没有精神，立刻小心翼翼的扶我到床上，把体温计夹在腋下。此时爸爸妈妈睡意全无，耐心等待体温计测量的时间，当体温计拿出来时，我已经发烧了！爸妈手忙脚乱的帮我把湿毛巾贴好，一会儿用酒精擦擦我的手脚，一会儿把刚冲好的药端到我面前，吹了又吹，小心的喂到我嘴边……看着爸妈忙碌的身影，心中不禁有些酸楚，忽然想起平时生活中的点点滴滴；深夜起来为我盖被我踢翻的被子；为我辅导功课；精心准备饭菜……一些好像成为生活习惯的没件事中，无处不有父母无边无际的爱。

而任性的我总是与他们顶撞，好像一头犟小牛，不会去感受他给予我的爱。而现在女儿已长大，虽然我并不是一个完美的孩子。平时，我可能害羞说不出口，但今天，在这里，我衷心的向爸妈说“爸爸妈妈，你们辛苦了，我爱你们！”

After class, I usually go to the English Corner. There I can practice my oral English by talking with foreigners or chatting with my schoolmates. Now, I’m able to communicate with foreigners well. Sometimes I also take part in some social activities. For instance, last weekend I attended an interesting play. As it was my first performance, I felt a little nervous at the beginning. But when I appeared on the stage, I made every audience laugh happily. I was so proud of myself at that moment, because this was my first achievement.
