我的家乡，曾经是一个穷乡镇。

到处都是光秃秃的，根本望不到一点绿。又窄又短的沙土路，一到夏天，风沙就活跃起来，到处是漫天黄沙，刮得人都睁不开眼眸。

站在阳台眺望远方，那一幢幢矗立的大楼，不禁想起以前的时候……

以前的家乡都住平房，有的人家住草房，矮矮的房屋破旧不堪，冬天一到，凛冽的寒风吹进来，如冰窖一样的寒冷。极少人住砖房，从屋顶中冒出的黑烟笼罩在天空，让人感到透不过气来。

而现在的家乡呢？一幢幢高楼大厦。外面镶嵌着大理石或玻璃，在阳光的照射下五光十色、金碧辉煌。夜晚楼上闪烁着五颜六色的彩灯，让人觉得自己进入美好的童话世界。

站在马路边，看着汽车，不禁让我想起以前的时候……

以前的家乡的交通工具，大多数都是马车、驴车，最好的是自行车的简易柴油车，慢慢地有了汽车。如果去一个很远的地方，需要好长的时间。

而今天的家乡是怎样的呢？汽车如甲虫般的遍地都是。家庭小轿车成为了主流。以前学生上学都要步行走几里路，而现在，送子车、私家车送孩子上学，起主导的地位。想想我现在的生活真是幸福。

坐在教室里，看着周围的设施，不禁让我想起以前……

以前的教室，都是长桌子、长凳子，很多学生大家都挤在一起，一块上课。低矮的教室、光线差，环境恶劣。

而现在的教室，桌子、椅子都是独立的。还实行多媒体教学。高大的教学楼里面提供我们良好的学习环境。

随着社会的发展，家乡也不断发生变化，变得越来越好。让我们感到现在的生活比以前的的生活要丰富多彩，所以我要努力学习，长大以后，要把家乡建设得比现在更好！

我是湖南人，我的家乡就是最近闹得人心惶惶的非法开采稀土矿区的——茶陵县。

原本我的家乡是一片青山绿水，好山好水的乡村。我的家乡在群山中，路边的池塘，门口的小溪流，都是我童年记忆中戏水、捉鱼的最佳之处。可是最近它们消失了，因为我的家乡被查出非法开采稀土矿。路边的池塘、门口的小溪流里面的水全都被污染了，小鱼小虾都死光了，就连我们日常的生活用水饮用水都成了问题。那些非法开采稀土矿的工人，你们的良心难道没有遭受谴责吗？是你们把祖国的大好河山全都破坏了，是你们把我的家乡弄得人心惶惶，你们做错了事还逃避。我们每天为生活用水饮用水而忧愁，田里地里辛辛苦苦种了大半年的庄稼不能吃，眼睁睁的看着鱼和鸡大片的死亡，你们的心里难道没有一丝的愧疚吗？你们偷偷摸摸干这件事干了两三年，你们可否知道，这些被污染后的水我们一旦喝进去，大人容易得癌，小孩容易得白血病。

你们的心中没有一丝愧疚吗？你们可否知道这个污染要长达20年？

我想：如果老家在这样发展下去，那未来一定特别美好！

我们五莲虽是一个小县城，但是有两座美丽的山，九仙山和五莲山，九仙山有一个美丽的龙潭大峡谷，那里的水很清，清的可以看见潭底的沙石和鱼儿。它还是江北最大的杜鹃园，每到五月至六月，杜鹃、迎春花等许多漂亮的花儿就会竞相开放。山上到处是红颜色、黄颜色，深的、浅的、明的、暗的、红的似火、黄的如画，再加上翠绿的叶子，那恐怕只有画家才能描绘出来；五莲山有水帘烟雨，那晶莹的水帘明明亮亮的，薄薄的，像精心纺织出来的绸缎。温度变化出来的薄雾飘浮在半空中，真应了“水帘烟雨”这个名字，因为有帘有“烟”有“雨”，这不是给人以美的启迪，美的享受。这些自然美景，真是如诗如画，令游客神往、陶醉。

五莲城内，人们住宅也建造得很有特色，一座座楼房拔地而起，错落有致。也许受到水清水秀有影响，人们都比较喜欢养些美丽的小花，每一条街道都栽上了芙蓉树，每到夏天，整个县城就变成了花的海洋，空气中到弥漫着芙蓉花的香味。

我们五莲不但环境优美，人们的生活更美。小城的商店一家挨着一家，繁华热闹。柜台上摆满了琳琅满目的商品。家庭影院、手机早已走进了家家户户，不少家庭还添置了电脑、数码摄像机等等。日子过得就像芝麻开花——节节高，我相信五莲的明天会更加美好壮丽。

我爱我的家乡，现在我要好好学习，成为国家有用之才，把家乡建设的更加美丽富饶！

星期天，爸爸叫我跟他去新城市场买菜。我一口拒绝了，因为那个市场的卫生环境太差了。但转念一想，语文老师叫我们多到外面体验生活，说只有这样，才能写出好文章。于是，我高兴地跟着去了。

我和爸爸顺着朝阳路的人行道往下走，不一会儿就来到了中行的红绿灯路口，那时刚好是绿灯，我们马上快速通过。当来到农业银行的路口时，发现进入市场道路两旁胡乱摆卖的小摊小贩现在看不见了，整条街道显得干净整洁，连一片落叶也没有，让人看着非常舒服。

当我走进市场的大门时，整个人惊呆了。市场来了个大变样，原来又脏又乱的老市场早已不见踪影，取而代之的是干净平整，排列有序，功能完善的新市场。原来坑坑洼洼满是污水垃圾的水泥地板，现在贴上了平整又好看的瓷片，而且没有半点垃圾。新市场按售卖的品种重新划分了区域：我细数了一下，有蔬菜区，生肉区，海鲜区，熟食区……我和爸爸首先来到蔬菜区，发现这里的每个摊档的蔬菜都摆放得井井有条，像一个个士兵排着整齐的队伍，等待顾客的到来。买完蔬菜，又来到生肉区，看见卖肉的老板把一块块肉整齐地摆放着桌面上，等待顾客去选购。而以前，这里遍地是一些肉渣，踩得鞋底滑溜溜，一不留神就会摔得四脚朝天。现在可就不同了，每个摊位前都放着一个垃圾桶，摊主不能随手乱扔。爸爸买了一些肉后，带着我来到市场的尽头—海鲜区，以前，这里的环境非常糟糕，污水横流，到处都是死鱼死虾，一群群苍蝇嗡嗡地闹着，到处弥漫着鱼腥味。现在这些死鱼死虾都统一装在了桶里，再集中运到垃圾场；脏水也不再露天排放，而是从暗沟里流到下水道，不再发出腥味。

买完菜出来，我不禁感叹：菜市场的变化可真大呀！如果整个陆河县的卫生环境都像新城菜市场变化那么大，那么一定会成为名符其实的文明卫生城市！

Thank you very much for your concern. Last months several places in Beijing were blanketed with thick yellow fog. Everything around disappeared from oursight. Some highways were closed. Traffic jams were commonly seen in the streets. Many people, especially children and seniors, even found it difficult to breathe. As a result, local hospitals were crowded with people who had problems with their noses and lungs. Part of the cause was the dry weather, but the severely damaged environment contributed a lot to this nightmare. Personally I didn’t get any health problems in the haze because I stayed mostly indoors.But to make a significant change we really have to do more to protect our environment. To live a better life we have to push on with the economy, but it wound be meaningless if we have to achieve it at the cost of our breathing air.
