我的家乡在广东省西部的一个海滨城市---湛江市。湛江靠海，能经常吃到各种美味的海鱼。

听爷爷奶奶说，以前，湛江的海水非常的蓝，也很干净，随着周围的工厂慢慢多起来，靠近城市的海水就变了颜色，也多出一些怪怪的味道。爷爷奶奶家楼下有一条河，河床上已经积了厚厚的淤泥，河两旁的还有的居民把垃圾直接倒进河里。每到夏天，即使是在10楼，你也都能闻到河水里的臭味。

几年前的一个夏天，我到海边去玩。可是，一到海边，看到那水面上冒着的一片片白泡沫，我就开始感到很恶心，一点儿下水的念头都没有了。最后，我只在海边玩了一会儿沙子就回家了。

不过前次回去湛江，我看到城市的道路干净了很多，绿树业多了很多，再去到海边，又能看见蓝蓝的海水了，我和爸爸还一起在海里打起了“水战”呢。爷爷奶奶家楼下的小河，虽然还有淤泥，可是已经有工人定期去清理了。

我希望政府能再更多的关注和管理这里的环境，也希望生活在这儿的人们也能自觉爱护和保护环境，不再乱扔垃圾，乱排污水。真希望能早日见到爷爷奶奶描述的以前那个美丽的湛江：清清的河水淌淌流进蓝蓝的大海，海边有更多的戏水欢笑声。

Saving Water

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

Every time when I go home by train, I feel very uncomfortable, because I have to smell the terrible air, people always smoke, making the public place smell bad. The World Environment Day is on June 5th Every year. Since 1960s, the pollution on the earth have got more and more serious. So we need a World Environment Day to warn people that we must not destroy our earth any more. Forbid the factories to pour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way, our earth could be a better place to live in.

如今，越来越多的人认识到环境保护的必要和重要性。同时，有些人整天都不注意卫生，而且他们不能停止乱扔垃圾或者随意，随地吐痰。此外，还有一些工厂经常砍伐树木，化学品和污水排放等。并导致像温室效应问题很多。如果他们现在这样做，我们的生活会越来越困难，所以我们必须阻止他们。阻止他们，我们可以贴公益广告，告诉他们破坏环境的危害。所以我们可以从现在开始做一个美好的生活。

I love my school so much, because of the beautiful environment. The first day I walk into the school, I am very impressed by the green trees and the colorful flowers. It seems that I just walk into a park and getlost in the green world. The trees and flowers make me feel so comfortable, and my heart feel the peace.

我非常喜欢我的学校，因为环境很优美。我走进学校的第一天，校园里绿色的树和五颜六色的花就给我留下了非常深刻的印象。就好像我走进了一个公园，迷失在绿色的世界里。树和花让我感到很舒服，心情也很平和。

每当我看见高大的建筑物、清澈见底的小河、或者是走在宽阔的马路上的时候，总会想起我小时候的家乡……

小时候我家门前有一条泥泞的小路，每当一下雨，我走在那条小路上的时候，总会滑倒。这让我感到非常气愤！我小时候的家非常简陋，不下雨还好，一下雨就漏水漏得不得了。原来家乡的小河非常臭，也非常的黑。人们都不敢往哪里去。现在我家乡的小河非常的清澈，河里也有很多的小鱼小虾。我经常到小河里去抓鱼摸虾，非常好玩。河的旁边也有很多的垂杨柳，我也经常爬到茂密的垂杨柳上面和同伴们一起玩捉迷藏。在树上闻着清香的柳叶，让我陶醉在其中。不过我有时候爬树的时候也会摔下来，摔得我好疼好疼的，我也经常坐在小河旁边呆呆地望着小河，看着垂杨柳，总会想起一幅幅美丽的画卷。

在我小的时候，最想要的礼物就是电脑。可是以前家里很穷，买不起电脑。可是到了现在，已经不再是幻想。家家户户都买了电脑和电视，也都盖起了新房，住进了新的小区，家乡的经济水平和生活水平大大提高了。

我小时候家乡的人非常不文明，动不动就打人、骂人。违法的事也非常多，也没人管。可是到了现在，不文明的人少了、违法的事也少了。在公共汽车上让座的也多了起来。看，高素质的人也越来越多了。

刚想到这里，垂杨柳发出的清香让我从回忆中醒了过来。我以前的家乡和现在比起来差别可真大呀！

我爱我家乡，爱家乡的善美，也爱家乡的纯洁、和真诚。

living conditions on Guangzhou sport university

Guangzhou sport university was founded in October 1958, it is one of the oldest sports university founded in China.The first time I entered the campus as a freshman, I was deeply attracted by her cultural atmosphere and historical connotation. I enjoy my life here.The accommodation, canteen, library and some other living conditions.

The accommodation service of our university has gained in acceptance increasingly because of its high quality and relatively low expense. But the dorm often without water. I hope that the school can find a solution as soon as possible so that we had on the day of water. Moreover our library contains a large variety of books. In it you will find both literary and scientific and technical and sports books in Chinese and in foreign languages.We often go to look for books which we want to borrow or to read articles which we like to consult.Our library provides all useful reading matter and reference materials according to our needs.Otherwise, canteen service is pretty good. So we need not worry that we would lose our appetite when far away from home. The varieties of the food are so wide that we can enjoy differently delicious dish every day. What’s more, the prices are very reasonable. We are satisfied physically and mentally.

I love Guangzhou sport university, so I love my class, which is just like another home with my fellows owning the same dream.
