朝远处看了看，啊！就连农民伯伯们也用上了新技术——用收割机来收割稻谷。“看来农村生活一点也不差过城市！”我不由自主地惊叹道。

村尾背靠着一座座连绵起伏的山头，青翠欲滴的。房屋的旁边是一亩一亩的稻田。夏天，正是稻谷成熟的第一季，也是农民伯伯忙于收获的季节。看！谷穗脱下了绿色的衣裳，换上了金色的服装。在微风的吹拂下，那一大片金灿灿的稻谷如同阵阵浪涛滚滚不息。夏日的夕阳在山峦起伏的青山中徐徐落下，加上黄澄澄的稻田与家家户户的楼房相映，成了一幅优美的油画图。我不得不再惊叹道：“家乡变化真大啊！”

区区的这几年时间里，家乡竟发生了如此翻天覆地的大变化。家乡不仅变得更富裕而且变得更美丽了。

由于土地盐碱化而引起古文明衰亡的最早案例

库巴唐”死亡谷”事件

巴西圣保罗以南60公里的库巴唐市，二十世纪八十年代以“死亡之谷“知名于世。该市位于山谷之中，六十年代引进炼油、石化、炼铁等外资企业300多家，人口剧增至15万，成为圣保罗的工业卫星城。企业主只顾赚钱，随意排放废气废水，谷地浓烟弥漫、臭水横流，有20%的人得了呼吸道过敏症，医院挤满了接受吸氧治疗的儿童和老人，使2万多贫民窟居民严重受害。

卡迪兹号油轮事件

Many wild animals are facing the danger of extinction, because the environment that they are living in has changed greatly. For example, with the developmet of cities, the using of insecticide and serious pollution, their living areas have become narrowcr and narrower. Many of the wild animals, now are confronted with food crisis. At the same time, man is killing off species just for getting their fur, skin, horns, teeth and meat.

In order to protect our resources of ecology, people should realize that the loss of any species is at least the loss of source of knowledge and a source of natural beauty. School is our second home, where we spend the majority of time living and learning. Therefore, a good school environment is the precondition for our health and growth.

Seoul hosts more than three million registered vehicles and widespread traffic congestion is common. The revival of Cheonggyecheon, a stream that flows through Seoul city center, was a recent major urban beautification project.
