They get on well with each other. The students in our school try their best to kkp the school yard clean and tidy. They never throw waste about nor pick the flowers.

My best friend is Mary. She lives in a tall building. She lives on the fifth floor. Everyday she takes the lift up and down. She is twelve years old. She is tall and thin. She has short black hair，two big eyes and a small mouth. She is very cute. I like playing with her. We are in the same class. I like to read books but she likes playing games. She likes to eat popcorn and ice creams. I like them， too. Her favourite food is fish， so she is clever. She loves her cat. She often plays with her. The cat likes Mary，too. They are cute.

I was so busy in the previous winter holiday for I am going to take the

university entrance exam in July this year. Everyday, I buried myself in

studying. I had to review each required subject and do lots of exercises.

Besides, because I did bad in mathematics and physics, I had to do much more

exercises than other courses, which made me discouraged. I spent more than ten

hours a day in studying. When I was tired, I watched TV or listened to music for

a little while. But It was a big pity that I couldnt go to the see cinema. In

addition, I had to refuse all the invitations of friends and relatives. I only

called them or sent messages in the New Year’s Eve. I desperately hoped that

there is no exam but I know it’s impossible. The only thing I can do is to study

hard to get good scores and can be admitted to Tsinghua University.

外婆家住在农村,她家养了许多小动物。有“咯咯”叫的老母鸡，带着一窝可爱的小雏鸡；有忠厚的鸭子；有凶猛的大白鹅。但是我最喜欢的还是外婆家的一只母狗——来发。

来发有一身棕白相间的毛，一双黑宝石般的眼睛，黑不溜秋的鼻子非常敏感，很远之外的气味都能嗅到，尖锐的牙齿给人感觉非常凶猛，四条健壮的腿跑起来特别快。来发对家里人特别热情，但是来了陌生人，它就狂叫不止。

来发是外公外婆最得力的助手，每次外婆外公到地里干活，它就静静地蹲在门口，看家护院，一步也不离开。它还守护着家里所有的家禽，如果有的鸡惊慌失措地尖叫，它会箭一般地冲过去，察看情况。任何风吹草动都逃不过它灵敏的耳朵。

记得有一天晚上，夜黑风高，外面黑漆漆的一片，外婆外公早已进入梦乡，来发在门口守夜。突然，来发发出“汪汪”的吼叫声，并且不断地用爪子扒门，外公听到叫声，连忙起床，透过窗外，看到池塘边有一点亮光。他赶紧穿好衣服，猛地打开门，用手电筒照过去，并大喝一声“谁？”一束强烈的光照过去，原来是一个半夜用电瓶偷鱼的人，对方听到外公的大喝声，慌慌张张地逃走了。来发还勇猛地追上去狂叫，直到看不见对方的人影，才在外公的呼唤声中回来。

放假了，我和妈妈到外婆家去玩，正赶上外婆家的来发要生狗宝宝了。刚到外婆家，就看见来发大着肚子，摇头摆尾地欢迎我们。

我问外婆：“来发什么时候生小狗？”外婆说：“就在这几天。”于是，我每一次吃饭时都会多丢一些带肉的骨头给来发，让它增加营养。

直到有一天下午，我在房前屋后到处寻找，也没有找到来发的身影。快到傍晚的时候，外婆告诉我，来发在隔壁大奶奶家里一间废弃的柴房里生小狗了。我连忙跑过去，外婆打开手电筒，让我仔细地看个清楚。只见在昏暗的柴房里，来发蜷缩着身子，躺在一个破旧的塑料袋上，它身下有四只小狗：两只黑色的，两只棕色的，它们全身湿漉漉的，粉红色的小爪子，眼睛还没睁开，老鼠一般的大小，可爱极了！

由于柴房里昏暗潮湿，非常的闷热，不利于小狗的生长。于是，我们秘密策划了一个“转移计谋”。到了中午，来发饿了，来到外婆家吃我们给它准备好的食物。我和妈妈赶紧关上前门和后门，外婆则去把小狗们转移到一个透风舒适的稻草堆上。来发吃了两口，准备回去，突然发现门已经不知什么时候被关上了，急得团团转。外婆在外面说一声“好了。”我和妈妈同时把门打开，来发“唰”地一下冲了出去，发现大奶奶家的门被锁了，就用那乞求的眼光望着我们，希望得到我们的帮助。在我们的“循循善诱”下，来发终于和狗宝宝团聚了，它安静地躺在狗宝宝们的身边，用舌头舔着它们，那画面是多么感人，多么温馨啊！

我喜欢来发，不仅因为它尽职尽责，也为它那伟大的母爱所感动！

I like to read books, because a good book, contains a wealth of knowledge

and good feelings. Reading a good book is across time and space, dialogue with

Today the crime rate in cities of our country is rising. Many citizens

often complain about the thefts and robberies that have taken palce in the areas

they live in and appeal to the governments at all levels to take effective

measures to reduce the crime rate.

如今犯罪发生率在我国众多城市呈现出上升趋势。许多公民常常抱怨在他们生活的地方，偷窃和抢劫常发生。他们希望各级政府能采取有效措施来减少犯罪发生率。

Faced with criminals, some people are so frightened that they shamelessly

give up the fight and other people turn a blind eye to them. However, some

people are brave enough, to risk their lives to fight the criminals.Their

fearless actions prevented the criminals from doing evils, saved the victims,

and protected the public properties.

面对罪犯，好些人因为过于害怕而无耻地放弃了斗争，和其他人一样，睁一只眼闭一只眼。可是，还是有些人有足够的勇气与罪犯斗争。他们无惧罪犯的行动阻止了犯罪分子做邪恶的事情，拯救了受害者并保护了公共财产。

To reduce the crime rate, we all the people should receive a law education.

Criminals must be severely punished. Meanwhile we should set up a foundation to

reward those who fight criminals. It is also important to call on people to

learn from those heroes and encourage more people to stand up to crime.

为了降低犯罪率，我们所有人都应该接受法制教育。罪犯必须受到严惩。同时，我们应该建立一个基金来奖励勇于与犯罪分子斗争的人。号召人们向英雄学习并鼓励更多的人抵抗犯罪也是一件非常重要的事情。
