虽然她要求的严了一些，但是那段时间我的英语成绩确实很好，只要跟住老师，英语成绩就不会差，后来老师因为教的好，被别的学校挖走了。

也算是人在“江湖”身不由己吧，后来我因工作较忙，就一直没抽时间回家。时隔一年多了，再没见过这狗，没料想已经长了这么大。不是兄弟们告诉我，我差不多遗忘了。
这狗，我不认识它，是因为我没有把它当一回事；它不认识我，却是因为间隔时间长了闹的。何况我还是在它幼小的时候只见过一面呢，它对我的不友好，也是在情理之中了，怪不得它对我那么陌生。
狗虽然多有灵性，但它弄不懂人类的那种复杂的亲戚关系。
有父母兄弟护拥着我进屋，安全感自然大了许多。但我还是不时地注意提防那狗，总是担心它咬我，所以我的警惕性告诉我不能怠慢。
弟弟说：“你别那么害怕，看它样子凶，其实没咬过人。它很乖的，能听懂人话，叫它别叫它就不叫。”我一回想也是，自从二哥骂了一声后，它还真没吭过一声了。
过了一会儿，狗的陌生感渐渐减弱了，慢慢地，它靠近了我，我也小心翼翼地让它靠近。还好，我感觉到狗已经没有敌意了，心里才放得轻松了一些。
家人见面，免不了许多言语问好，寒喧一阵客气话后，就听到了父亲既关心体贴又带有埋怨的话。意思是说我虽然在外不容易，但回家也太少了一点，尤其这次也太间隔久了一点儿。母亲在一旁听着，一句话也没说，却在暗暗地流着眼泪。我一面对父亲的唠叨唯唯喏喏，一面看看母亲，心中涌起一阵酸楚与自责。
看到这情景，大哥迅即岔开话题，提高嗓门说：“这不来了吗，大家都应该高兴呀！”兄弟们也都附和了起来：是呀，是呀，说点高兴的事儿。
聊着聊着，嫂子、弟媳和侄儿们也来了。他们用生疏疏的眼光望着我，说话也没有象对待自己的父母和兄弟那么随便。他们的那种不随便的心理，我是可以理解的，毕竟没有朝夕相处啊。
但是，我这次回来，首先发现兄弟们对我也有明显的生疏感。哥弟们与我说话，似乎都很谨慎，有点拘束的感觉。我寻思着这是为什么，——是不是前几次通电话时，我说话太仓促了？因为他们打电话给我时，恰好每次都碰上我正忙，我不得不简单几句，匆匆忙忙挂了电话。——是不是因为这事计较我了？我想着要在闲聊中找个机会解释解释。
