What an interesting picture! A western young man, sitting at a table, is ready to eat a bowl of noodles. He is holding two forks the same way as we Chinese hold chopsticks. He is trying so hard to pick up the noodles that he is sweating a lot. At first glance, I think it’s a bit funny, for we Chinese take for granted that chopsticks are the tools for eating noodles. The man in the picture is trying to copy us. Obviously he is doing it the hard way. Maybe using one fork will do a better job, In my opinion, we don’t need to copy others’ ways of thinking. Sometimes a simpler way of doing things may be a better way.

黄昏下，孤零零的身影伫立在城市的天桥中心，看着桥下来来往往的人群和川流不息的车辆，一股浓浓的思乡之情漫上了心头，思念的心情被西下的残阳拉得好长、好远。我曾经是那么厌恶的故乡，是因为它的贫穷，我曾经是那么急切地想离开的故乡，是因为它的落后。而今，我身在这繁华大都市里，数着满街的高楼大厦，心里牵挂的却全是故乡，故乡的一山一水，一草一木。细心回想故乡的山山水水，才发现原来身在故乡的日子里从未曾留意过故乡的一切，故乡的美，故乡的纯，故乡的真，我都视而不见。

归去的落叶将呼唤着对风的依恋堕入尘土，泥土将它的泪水珍藏一地，在矿藏中孕育着新的生机。思念在等待中疯长，故乡的情在等待中蔓延。眼前飘浮着一浪一浪金黄色的波浪，那是麦苗成熟的风韵。低头聆听麦苗在土地里粗重的喘息，听风在庄稼地里窃窃私语，村民们心里充满了欣慰和安谧。儿时和姐姐手拉着手在麦田边打鸟，那是因为害怕烦人的麻雀偷去父母亲劳动的成果。一声鸣叫，小小的麻雀看见我逃之夭夭，我为逃走的麻雀而兴奋地摇晃着姐姐的双手，仿佛自己已成能帮助父母亲或对父母有用的女儿。稚气的小脸充满着胜利和骄傲，惹笑了正要吹过的秋风，安慰了雄赳赳，气昴昴立在地里的麦苗。

故乡的河流，静静地拥有她岁月的安谧，河边上的小林子，安稳地望着对面的小河。白青青的河畔，传来频频蛙鼓的声音，蜻蜓在河中央轻轻飞舞，一脚下去，点醒了正在沉睡的河水。河面上成群结队的野鸭，在河水里欢快地嬉闹。儿时的我早已脱悼穿在脚上的鞋子，进到小河的边沿，等待送上门来的小鱼。小鱼像是在和我做着游戏，明明是在河边上的，可当我伸出手的一霎时，它早已逃到了小河的深处。我看见它在小河的深处偷偷探出圆圆的小脑袋，仿佛在得意洋洋地笑着我，我生气地从岸边捡起一块土疙瘩，用力扔向小鱼的身边，可除了水面上溅起一朵水花，小鱼早就游得无影踪了。我只好无精打采地回到了小河岸边，叹口气，两手空空地回了家。

我思念的故乡，当我凝视窗外迷茫飘渺的雨丝，听着优美、动人的乐曲，我的心被带回了你的身边。曾经触摸到土地的灵魂，我知道，这时的我身处在地球东半部的黄土高坡上。在坡上的空地里，我席地而坐，风从身边吹过，吹走了我身上的尘埃，吹走了我全部的忧伤和欢乐。我开始静静地沉思，心灵便有了一种超俗的意念。身处在原地的时候，没有细心体会，那是因为心早就被轻风吹向远处，可现在回想起来，心灵深处一片的平静。

我思念着的故乡，如果我的心是故乡放飞的一只鸽子，那我温暖的窝一定是你————我的故乡。秋色如水，春光明媚，冬夜里的星空，夏日里的炽热，都是我深深的思念。故乡的一棵树、一片土、一朵云、一团雾、一阵风、一滴雨、都在我的眼前浮现。经过弯曲的小路，来到河边的林子，我捡起了落在地上的一片黄叶。看着这片落叶，我把它顺手藏在了岁月的抽屉里，等待新生的机会。

城市的高楼里藏不住岁月的痕迹，它迟早会走向别处，而我故乡的抽屉里深藏着的那片落叶，就有着岁月滑过的痕迹，它一直藏在我心灵的深处。

多少年已没有看见过雪花飞舞的场面，深圳的天是不会下雪的。

大雪纷飞的日子，故乡里一片洁白。白了的屋顶，白了的树枝，白了的山，白了地。 站在白茫茫的世界里，心里也纯洁了许多。风乍起，吹起门前放着的柴火，那随风飘动的细枝，在寒风显得瘦瘦。看门的大黄狗也懒得出窝，只探着脑袋，坚起尖尖的耳朵听着门外的动静。村子里的人们不再做农活了，只在家里悠闲地呆着。三三两两的庄稼汉子，约在一起打扑克。新媳妇们则聚在一起手里拿着毛线编织毛衣或者绣着鞋垫，绣着鸳鸯枕套。顽皮的孩子在地下支一个竹筐，等待麻雀进去，好抓它。

秋风飒飒，落叶纷纷，我慢慢走在城市的街头，思念如风一般飘向远处。

故乡的人是热情的，每当从乡亲们的家门前走过，乡亲们总会热情地和你打着招呼或拉你入屋叨叨家常。家里没有年轻劳动力的老人家，村子里的小伙子总是义无反顾地帮他们照料地里的庄稼，替他们把水缸里的水挑得满满的。乡亲们用纯朴的热情互相帮助，互相照顾，没有任何的企图，没有任何的杂念，只凭着一股热情的劲头走向你的身边。

夜晚下的大都市被远处的霓虹灯笼罩得神神秘秘，到处充满着暖味。三三两两喝醉酒的年轻人，摇摇晃晃地从眼前经过，还不忘对着你调侃一句。打扮的花枝招展的女孩子穿梭在熙熙攘攘的人群里，浑身上下充满着活力。想起故乡的夜。那里星光灿烂，群星会聚，把整个蓝天衬托得更加的清爽，更加的明亮。推开窗户，月儿挂在柳梢的后边，柳枝的影子斑斑驳驳地映在了圆月里。有风吹过，月里人影走动，于是，把满腹的心事，悄悄向她诉说。

My hometown is beautiful place It stands near a wide river at the foot of low green hills. It has many tall buildings and wide streets. There are trees and flowers everywhere.

But it has not always been like that. In the old days, it was a sad dirty little town. Landlords and merchants lived in the few good houses. For the working people there were only dark, unhealthy rooms in old buildings and huts in narrow muddy streets. Nearly everyone was poor and many had no work.

Everything has changed since liberation. The people, led by the Party, have got rid of the mud and dirt. They have put up schools, theaters, shops and flats. They have an assembly hall and a hospital. Along the river they have built offices, hotels and parks. A lot of factories have sprung up. On the river, streamers and boats come and go busily, day and night. They carry the products of our industries to all parts of the country.

I love my hometown, and I love its people. They also have changed. Healthy and happy, they are going all out to build socialism.

Do you agree that your parents have a second child? Different students have

different opinions about it.

Some students agree with the idea. They think, if so, they wont feel

lonely and there will always be someone to play with. Besides, if their parents

get older or ill, they can take turn to look after them. However, some students

disagree. They worry that they will get less love from their parents if another

child comes to the family. Whats worse, they may not get along well, or even

fight against each other.

As for me, Id love to have a brother or sister as company, so that we can

share our happiness and sorrow anytime.
