Until 1924 when the last emperor of China was driven from the Inner Court， fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty had reigned here. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries， it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987， the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world wide.

Construction of the palace complex began in 1407， the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. It was said that a million workers including one hundred thousand artisans were driven into the long-term hard labor. Stone needed was quarried from Fangshan， a suburb of Beijing. It was said a well was dug every fifty meters along the road in order to pour water onto the road in winter to slide huge stones on ice into the city. Huge amounts of timber and other materials were freighted from faraway provinces. Ancient Chinese people displayed their very considerable skills in building the Forbidden City. Take the grand red city wall for example. It has an 8.6 meters wide base reducing to 6.66 meters wide at the top. The angular shape of the wall totally frustrates attempts to climb it. The bricks were made from white lime and glutinous rice while the cement is made from glutinous rice and egg whites. These incredible materials make the wall extraordinarily strong.

Since yellow is the symbol of the royal family， it is the dominant color in the Forbidden City. Roofs are built with yellow glazed tiles; decorations in the palace are painted yellow; even the bricks on the ground are made yellow by a special process. However， there is one exception. Wenyuange， the royal library， has a black roof. The reason is that it was believed black represented water then and could extinguish fire.

Hi!大家好!我是一株含羞草。相信你们对我一点也不陌生，拥有独特名字的我，叶子只要被轻轻触碰，就会快速闭合。因此，有些人也把我叫作害羞草、感应草等。

糊锅是酒泉的特色小吃，卖糊锅的店主在门口架上一口大锅，汤料用土鸡熬制，投入蚕豆做成的粉汁，就变成了棕色的糊状底汤，再加上粉皮和鸡丝肉片，然后把麻花和烤制的面筋放入配好的底汤中便做成了糊锅。它的味道突出了生姜和胡椒的辣味，口感鲜美。

糊锅是酒泉的非物质文化遗产，它的做法虽然与陕西的油茶、河南的糊辣汤相似，但味道却有着天壤之别。鲜美的鸡汤飘香四野，令你垂涎不止；麻花酥香，口感俱佳；粉皮爽滑，气味喷香；面筋柔软，回味无穷。可以说是一种男女老少四季皆宜的一种美食。

糊锅有着一百多年的历史，传说有一年几位外地经商的客人，因春节到了无法回家吃团圆饭，大家就在旅店中拿出各自带的熟食，有油饼、鸡肉、麻花等各种食物，烩了一大锅热腾腾、稠糊糊的年夜饭，吃起来味道非常不错。结果被店家学会，逐渐改良成为一道风味独特的小吃，并取名为“糊锅”。

暑假的一天，我和家人来到了美丽的颐和园。

刚踏入颐和园的大门，映入眼帘的是一个水平如镜的大湖——昆明湖。我迫不及待的跑到湖边，突然，一阵风吹来，凉丝丝的，湖里的水也微微荡起了波纹。湖里的荷花一朵一朵的盛开着，小鱼游来游去，美丽极了。

湖的旁边有一个亭子，可以供游客休息。湖的前面是一排排古柳，我和家人手拉手把一棵最大的古柳围了起来，这树可真够粗的。

接着我们来到了世界闻名的十七孔桥。桥的两旁都蹲着两座石狮子，它们被工匠雕刻地栩栩如生，非常威风。十七孔桥全身都是白色的，弧形的桥身。十七孔桥，这名字就知道有十七个孔。

桥的对面是十里长廊，全长有718米，里面的墙上都是五彩缤纷的壁画，有四大名著里《西游记》、《三国演义》、《红楼梦》、《水浒传》，这些故事里的人物形象都展现在墙上，故事情节生动，吸引着人们。

登上昆明山，山上有一个小亭子，俯视颐和园，哇!真是太美了，简直如仙境，看着这水和山、古建筑、花草树木，让人赞不绝口。

我喜欢颐和园，它给我带来了欢乐、让我长了见识，知道了更多的知识。

颐和园真是一个美不胜收的地方。

两年前，外公在自家田里栽下了很多桑树苗。在外公精心培育下，桑树苗茁壮成长，今年四月已硕果累累。

走进桑园，修长的桑树整齐排列着，绿油油的桑叶上托着几颗露珠，桑椹像五彩缤纷的小灯笼挂在树梢，红的似玛瑙，绿的像毛毛虫，紫的如葡萄……桑椹颗粒饱满，果香扑鼻，真让人垂涎欲滴。我马上翻开桑叶，小心翼翼地摘下一颗紫莹莹的桑椹放入口中，酸酸甜甜的汁水从嘴里直流入我的心田。我津津有味地吃个不停，桑椹顺着我的小手像滑滑梯一样，一个接一个跑进我的嘴里。这真是“参差红紫熟方好，一缕清甜心底溶”啊!一会功夫，我的嘴巴和手都染紫了，妈妈笑我是个“小花猫”。

“卖桑椹哎，卖桑椹，又大又甜的桑椹，走过路过千万别错过。”这响亮的声音是从哪里传来的呢?原来，是家人趁着周末天气晴朗，摘了十多篮桑椹，让我当一天的“小老板”。

响亮的叫卖声吸引了很多路人，“叔叔阿姨!来尝尝我家的桑椹吧，味道好极喽!”我很有礼貌地拿出桑椹给他们品尝，他们吃了都赞叹不已!我还告诉他们：“桑椹有助于消化、乌黑头发、增强抵抗力，大人小孩吃了都身体棒棒的!”桑椹一下子就被一抢而空。我忙得汗流浃背，虽然有点累但很开心!

采桑椹、吃桑椹是我和弟弟最喜欢的事，甜甜的桑椹让我们回味无穷，也让我们知道桑叶和青桑果可以洗掉我们手上的桑椹汁。而卖桑椹的经历，更让我明白了劳动的意义。

还记得那是一个炎炎的夏日，不管在室内还是室外都非常热，老师为了不让我们学校生活那么枯燥，所以决定带全班去参观学校的树木和花草，其中最惹人注目的就是银杏树。在学校，种的树中银杏树是最多的，当浓浓的的绿荫被阳光投映下来的时候，树木下就非常凉爽。

夏天，银杏树的树干，如一根挺拔的粗铁柱。树干上，常常会有蚂蚁爬过，树干遍布古老纹路，还有些天然的小坑洞。树叶像碧玉一般翠绿，又如裹了一层塑料纸一般光滑。一眼望去，一个高大挺拔的老先生，正用慈祥柔和的目光向你望去。

春天，银杏刚刚从冬的睡梦中苏醒，像一个想睡懒觉的顽皮小孩。朦朦胧胧的眼睛里，闪着丝丝的困意……它的根在泥土中慢慢伸展开来，就像伸懒腰一般……同时也在泥土中慢慢寻找水源，满足生长所需。

秋天，它的精神比夏天明显要低沉许多，银杏叶也由绿转黄。秋风起，满目金黄，金灿灿的银杏叶像一只只翩然而落的枯叶蝶，亲吻地面。在树下，你也会惊喜的发现很多银杏果，也就是我们平常所说的白果，不过它的味道一言难尽。

冬天，银杏树的树干树枝变得稀稀落落，什么也没剩下。它仿佛进入了冬眠，下雪了，冬姑娘贴心地为它盖上厚厚的棉被，从此开始了下一年的生长……

银杏树的寿命很长，能存活上千年，但更多的是因人类的需要而被砍伐。植物也有生命，当我们全力保护它们时，相信它们也一定会为我们贡献一片绿荫!
