While other species may enjoy the ben efits of the oceans, humans have becom e so wide spread and detached from the world around them that they have effect ively brought the oceans to the brink of extinction in a very short time (Woodard, 2000). While the oceans count time in th e billions of years, humans count time in years or decades. In the last fifteen deca des, human activity has decimated a sig nificant portion of the ocean, creating "d ead zones" where there is no oxygen to support life. The ocean chemistry is beco ming dangerously acidic due to the burni ng of fossil fuels and the dumping of was te in the oceans, and may trigger a non-r eversible chain reaction of extinction, sa y before the end of this century (Global warming, 2006). The goal is to motivate, educate, and offer possible solutions to t he problem, however it will not work unt il people across the globe work together.

巡警跟着鸭妈妈来到下水道口，低头一看，呀!几只小鸭子正在下水道里逆流而上，为了帮助自己不掉入水管中，但他们可惜体力不支，也在逆流时慢慢地靠近水管。情况紧急，巡警伸手就去救几只小鸭子，这时鸭宝宝们体力透支得已要掉入水管。在这迅雷不及掩耳之时，巡警不顾水脏跳入了下水道，堵住了管口，救出了小鸭们。鸭妈妈十分感激，连忙让小鸭们表示感谢。谢完，鸭妈鸭宝又开始了长途旅行。

看着这个情景，我也不禁想到：地球属于这颗星球所有生命，动物与人类是地球共同的主人，我们应该和它们和谐相处。让我们从小做起，保护野生动物，关心野生动物，让更多人都能投入到保护野生动物的行动中来。

我最喜欢的小动物——乌龟，我给它取了个名字叫“李世延”，平时我喊它“延延”。它不仅仅是外形可爱而且它有时还能听懂我的话呢!它的脑袋小小的、脖子细细的、还背着一个像碗口一样大小的壳、绿绿的，尖尖的小尾巴走起路来一摇一摆非常有趣。

“大哥哥，你在干嘛呢?”一天下午，在我们住的楼下，我看见一个大哥哥拿着如把扫帚，在空中挥来舞去，不禁好奇地问道。可是这个大哥哥对我毫不理睬，自顾自地继续在空中挥舞扫帚。我有些无趣，又不愿意走开，就静静地坐在一旁观察。仔细看去，我发现原来在空中飞舞着一群蜻蜓。这才恍然大悟，原来他是在捉蜻蜓啊!

忽然，大哥哥兴奋地喊了起来：“抓住了，抓住了!”可是到跟前一看，地上有一只蜻蜓一动也不动，好像死了一样。他觉得很失望，上去就想一脚踩死它。我急忙冲了上去，大声地说：“你不要，给我吧!”大哥哥也不稀罕，没说什么，自顾自地走开了。

我小心翼翼地捧起了这只蜻蜓，放在手心里，心疼地看着它。它该有多疼啊?它妈妈该多着急啊?

我想拯救这只小蜻蜓，就让它在我手心里静静地休息了一会儿。我发现，它在挣扎着想扑腾翅膀，于是，我轻轻地把它抛到空中。让我惊奇的是，它居然能飞起来，只是飞得很低，飞得不远，很快就掉在地上。我跑步上前，再次轻轻捧起它，小心地呵护它，再次送它起飞。

就这样，一次，两次，三次……一次次的失败，我们都没有放弃。终于在第八次，小蜻蜓飞起来了，飞得高高的，飞得远远的。我目送着它渐渐远去，心里别提多高兴了。

在这之后的日子里，每当我走在路上，看到空中飞舞的蜻蜓，我总觉得，其中有一只，不，好像好几只，都在向我打招呼。我想，也许，我拯救的那一只就在里面，在它周围的，是它的爸爸妈妈、兄弟姐妹……

Nowdays,more and more animals lost their homes and they have no choice but to face the sorrow of missing relatives and friends.What makes it comes about?What makes their living condition even worse?The answer is human!Some people cut down plenty of trees to make fortunes,which damaged the forest and made the animals lost their home.And there are also some greedy people even hunt for animals to make money,which lead a terrible result--a number of animals are in danger.
