Recently, I have been reading a book named Communication Arts. In this

book, the author Doctor Li introduces many methods to communicate with others

successfully and tells readers why everyone should be a polite person. My

favorite sentence in this book is “Everyone has potential, and everyone can

determine your own future by developing positive psychological, mastering

communication arts and showing your personality charm. In that way, you can have

a wonderful life!”

During whole sections, this book tells us human should live in a large

group, since people can’t solve all problems by their own. For that matter,

human beings should learn a series of manners to deal with any situation which

might happen wherever and whenever. After that, Doctor Li makes a point that

people need to realize how to resolve disagreements between friends, families or

colleagues. There always appears this kind of situation in social life, so it’s

important to understand how to settle it. Finally he teaches us that

communication techniques not only reflect in normal talk but also within body

languages.

In each part of the book, the author takes a large number of examples in

daily life to confirm his points. These examples in daily life are easy to

understand and accept.

After reading the book, I find many shortages of my communication skills. I

used to lack of patience when I talk to others, even got mad at them. This was

impolite and might destroy relationships between my friends and me. Therefore I

would try my best to improve myself and be welcome.

The school is our home, we should protect the environment in the small

yard.

We saw the earth have pick up rubbish should put the rubbish into the trash

can, we cant eat your own trash on the ground after the funeral, if someone do

so should be to remind him, let him pick up garbage into the garbage can.

We need to protect the objects on campus, such as: we should protect the

playground on the playground every camphor tree, cant use a knife to get the

camphor tree, because the camphor tree is a rare tree. One can sell one or two

in case of a tree, so we should protect the camphor tree.

We should also protect the flowerbeds in the flowerbeds, the flowers in the

“心灵之声残疾艺术团”这个星期来到我们校园演出，观看过后，有震惊，也有感动，更有一种说不出的感慨。和他们相互比较，显然，我们略胜一筹。身有残疾的他们，用惊人的意志和信念战胜了懦弱，把有限的生命发出无限的光彩。这一点，我们，是无法与他们比较的。事实证明，我们大部分人都经不起挫折和诱惑，每年都有不少因为高考落榜的学生跳楼自杀；学生经不起网络游戏的诱惑，变的沉沦，颓唐；……

这，是感恩的表现吗？不是，感恩，是指在不幸或幸运的时候，感谢一切值得感恩的人事物。

感恩挫折，它让我们得到磨练；感恩父母，他们让我们得到生命；感恩朋友，他们与我们肝胆相照，患难与共；感恩老师，他让我们得到知识，终生受益；感恩……

看！那么多的人事物值得我们感恩，那我们为什么要那吝啬自己的感恩之情呢？

有一次，罗斯福总统家被盗，(似乎有些不切实际，总统家怎么会被盗，被盗的可能：１％)被偷去了不少东西，他的朋友们把自己的同情心“放”在信上，并安慰他。但他却说：“我得感谢上帝，因为贼偷去的是我的东西，而不是我的生命；贼只偷去我部分的东西，而不是全部；最值得庆幸的是，做贼的是他，而不是我。”谁能想到，一件不幸的事情，却让罗斯福找到感恩的理由。我们要像罗斯福那样心存感恩。当我们得到亲人或朋友的关爱时，我们可以衷心地说声谢谢，或抱以诚挚的笑脸；当别人需要支持和帮助时，我们可以热情地伸出我们的“爱心之手”。只有心存感恩，才会珍惜拥有！

我们把感恩放进一只小小的帆船，让它随波逐流，无论它流到哪里，都会流下美好的回忆。

My name is Xiao Ming. Im 12 years old.I study in Shi Yan Middle School.I’m

in Class 10,Grade 7. Im a good student.I like reading and writing.

I have a happy family. There are three people in my family.They are my

father, my mother and I.My father is not tall,he is an teacher.He is good .He is

not only a good father and also a good friend. We often talk with each other. My

mother is tall, she is a good worker.She is very busy, but she cares for me and

my study very much.I love my parents very much and they love me,too.

This pampered young lady had left her family for the first time to join the college and was feeling quite lonely on Thanksgiving. She decided to cook a Thanksgiving dinner for herself. She was narrating her first experience in the kitchen to her mother and mother really wanted to know about the results. When asked how the food was, the lady replied with a shudder that though the ready-made soup and pizza were great, she had quite a trouble with turkey. Trying to get to the root of the problem, the mother asked, "Was it burnt?" The lady replied, "Oh! I couldnt taste it mom. It simply wouldnt sit still!"

Thanksgiving began with the first European settlers in America. They

gathered their crops, celebrated and gave thanks for the food.

Tradition says Pilgrim settlers from England celebrated the first

thanksgiving in sixteen twenty-one. There is evidence that settlers in other

parts of America held earlier thanksgiving celebrations. But the Pilgrims

thanksgiving story is the most popular.

The Pilgrims were religious dissidents who fled oppression in England. They

went first to the Netherlands. Then they left that country to establish a colony

in North America. The Pilgrims landed in sixteen twenty in what later became

known as Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Their voyage across the Atlantic Ocean was difficult. Their first months in

America were difficult, too. About one hundred Pilgrims landed just as autumn

was turning to winter. During the cold months that followed, about half of them

died.

Dear Sir or Madam:

I’m a middle school student. I have recently leamed from the newspaper that

you are going to build a factory here in my hometown. There is no doubt that it

is good for development of my hometown and it will provide us with more jobs.

Most of us stand by the program. However,some of us are worried that the factory

will make much noise and pollute the environment of the area. I would like to

know whether you have any plans for the environment protection. Would you please

offer us more information about it?
