The generation gap is unavoidable in almost every family, which brings

about a number of conflicts in a family. In my opinion, to limit the bad effects

of the generation gap, each family should use the following three methods:

First of all, it is important that family members discuss openly about

their pleasures or sadness in childhood in family gatherings. This activity does

not only create a close relationship but also help build up understanding among

all members. For instance, once children are aware that their grandparents and

even their parents did not have a good upbringing during their hard childhood,

they will stop complaining about the previous generations’ obsoleteness. In the

meantime, once old people realize young people are nurtured in a new modern way,

it is easy for them to be tolerant of young people’s new habits or hobbies.

Secondly, people of each generation should not develop a very high feeling

about themselves. In order to do that, they should not think that they are the

only right people in their family because each person has his or her own

limitations. Teenagers would realize that their parents have to struggle with

pain to support them financially, and they would stop rebelling their

strictness. Parents would realize that their children’s new style does no harm

to their studies and stop imposing their own unsuitable standards on their

children.

Finally, the generation gap and its bad effects can be limited if all

members cooperate to build up a close-knit family relationship and a harmonious

atmosphere in which they are open and tolerant of each other. I strongly believe

that each family, by doing that, can enjoy a cozy atmosphere with minimum

interference by the generation gap.

Now we are facing two problems of global warming and a shortage of natural

resources, both of which are getting more and more serious day by day. Thus, it

is important for us to promote a low-carbon lifestyle.

Low-carbon lifestyle covers many aspect of our life like transportation,

traveling, home-heating, and so on. In order to promote a low-carbon life, some

plans must be carried out as follows. Firstly, don’t waste any electricity and

water. Remember to turn off the lights and water taps unless we use them.

Secondly, we had better take the subways or bus to work, so as to reduce the

emissions of carbon dioxide. Thirdly, we should use cloth bags for shopping

instead of plastic bags, and use recyclable bowls and chopsticks instead of

disposable ones, for it can not only save resources, but also reduce pollution.

我的水果沙拉星期六早晨,李老师一进教室就告诉大家:“今天,我们要分组做水果沙拉,并且评出前四名,授予“小小美食家”的称号。同学们一听到这个消息，高兴得手舞足蹈，看起来都很有信心成为我们班的“小小美食家”。

分配完工作，我们便投入到制作水果沙拉的热情中。陶泓之把苹果切成几块，然后又分别将石榴、香蕉、橘子、猕猴桃的皮剥开。我们用香蕉在盘子里摆了一圈，周健铭又用苹果在香蕉的里面摆了一圈，我又拿来几丫橘子在苹果的里面又摆了一圈。陶泓之把石榴递给周健铭，他想了想，便让我和他一起把石榴放到香蕉的外面摆了一个圈，摆好了，我们发现中间还少了一点什么色彩，陶泓之提了一个建议：“我们把猕猴桃切成一块一块的，放中间怎么样？”我们听了，也觉得这是一个好主意。可是，放好了，我们依然觉得还缺点什么。正当我们无计可施的时候，李老师拿了几块软糖给我们，真可谓是雪中送炭呀！我们将其中的两块软糖插上牙签扎在猕猴桃上，又把剩下的软糖平均地在橘子里摆了一圈。水果沙拉做好了。色彩艳丽,造型美观,两颗鲜红的桃心在其它颜色水果的衬托下尤其耀眼,我们将自己的水果沙拉命名为“心心彩艳”。

老师从每个组选出一位评委上台评价，评委们一边品尝,脸上一边展现出满意的神情。轮到我们的作品了,我们一动不动地盯着评委们的脸，心里也“扑通扑通”地跳个不停,终于,评委们脸上露出了惊喜的神色。我们组以三票成为了第一名，另一组2票成为了第二名，但是，有三个组的作品都是一票，于是老师又选了3位评委上去品尝，经过评委们的一致认同，第三名和第四名也诞生了。评选过后，大家便狼吞虎咽地吃着作品，我也不例外，吃着自己的劳动成果比吃了蜜还甜。

在这次制作水果沙拉的活动中，我不仅学会了自己制作美味的水果沙拉，还体会到了劳动是其乐无穷的。

Two years ago, I was a bad child, I didn’t listen to what my parents told

me, I do against what they expect me to do. One day, I go home very late, my

今天可真热呀！我都热的有些受不了，所以我突发奇想：不如就做个水果沙拉吧！妈妈以前教我做过，非常简单。

我先从柜子里拿出了一个精致的碟子，从冰箱里拿出桃子和酸奶，然后就可以开始了。把砧板、水果刀、削皮器、准备好。我把桃子放在水龙头下，仔细地将它清洗干净清水从桃子和我的指尖流过，像瀑布一样。我一手拿着桃子，一手搓去桃子的细毛。洗净之后，我就开始削皮了。很快，一个白白净净的桃子就展现在我面前了。桃子就展现在我面前了。桃子表面已经被我削完了，只有顶部小坑里的皮没削干净。于是我拿起水果刀沿着小坑转了一圈，桃皮就被挖了出来。（用刀一定记得要小心，别伤到自己。）之后，把桃子切成小丁，大小不一，虽然很难看，但毕竟是我一刀一刀切出来的！随后他们在盘子里摆好了“pose”，我打开了酸奶，一圈一圈慢慢地向中间倒，中间一定要多倒一点。水果沙拉大公告成了。
