The Double Seventh Festival, on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, is a traditional festival full of romance. It often goes into August in the Gregorian calendar.

This festival is in mid-summer when the weather is warm and the grass and trees reveal their luxurious greens. So he lived by himself herding cattle and farming. One day, a fairy from heaven Zhi Nu (Weaver Maid) fell in love with him and came down secretly to earth and married him. The cowhand farmed in the field and the Weaver Maid wove at home. They lived a happy life and gave birth to a boy and a girl. Unfortunately, the God of Heaven soon found out the fact and ordered the Queen Mother of the Western Heavens to bring the Weaver Maid back.

With the help of celestial cattle, the Cowhand flew to heaven with his son and daughter. At the time when he was about to catch up with his wife, the Queen Mother took off one of her gold hairpins and made a stroke. One billowy river appeared in front of the Cowhand. The Cowhand and Weaver Maid were separated on the two banks forever and could only feel their tears. Their loyalty to love touched magpies, so tens of thousands of magpies came to build a bridge for the Cowhand and Weaver Maid to meet each other. The Queen Mother was eventually moved and allowed them to meet each year on the 7th of the 7th lunar month. Hence their meeting date has been called "Qi Xi" (Double Seventh).

Scholars have shown the Double Seventh Festival originated from the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD220). Historical documents from the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD371-420) mention the festival, while records from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) depict the grand evening banquet of Emperor Taizong and his

concubines. By the Song (960-1279) and Yuan (1279-1368) dynasties, special articles for the "Qi Xi" were seen being sold on markets in the capital. The bustling markets demonstrated the significance of the festival.

The usage of Internet becomes one of the most controversial topics in the

society. As a college student, I believe Internet is beneficial to me more than

the way it harms me. There are many advantages for using Internet.

First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going

to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago.

It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof.

In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage

to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much

more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time

My best friend is Li Hua. He is 13 years old and he is a student of Guangming middle school. He is very tall and strong. He works hard at school and would like to help others. when I came to this school in the beginning, I was bad at math and English. I failed in a test and was worried about my study. At this time, Li Hua gave me a hand and helped to improve my math and English. Thanks to his help, my math and English improved a lot and I got good results in the following exams. Gradually we became very good friends. In my opinion, Li Hua is not only an excellent student but also a helpful and kind person. Everyone would like to be his friend.

他就是一个小人物，彻头彻尾的小人物……

他的名字叫父亲，父亲有庞大的身躯，粗犷的声音，深沉的性格，可他就是一个小人物，至少，我是这样想的。

平日在家里，我认为最关爱我就是母亲，母亲她会为我做饭，为我打扮，给我许多温暖，我爱温柔似水的母亲。古人对母亲的种种赞颂我都能体会，他们说的对极了。

至于他，那个小人物，我的父亲，他在家中的确是顶梁柱，看他吧，天天早出晚归，我从小和他接触少。在我看来，他性格古怪，对我毫不关心，哼，不过没有关系，他嘛，只是一个小人物。

我在学校的家长会，向来是我那气质高雅的母亲出席的，今年的当然也不例外。更何况母亲早就答应我了。可真到了家长会那天，母亲却忽然病了，我很伤心，原本我想将学校的“丰功伟绩”一一展现的，我想让家人为我骄傲。没办法，先去学校，见机行事吧。当老师正寻找我家长进行了解时，却找不到我家长的身影，正当我尴尬时，一个声音从门口传来，“抱歉老师，我迟到了！”那是父亲浑厚的声音。我很惊讶，他居然来了，我清楚地记得今天他有重要的会议。他风尘仆仆地走进教室来，但是一会儿又像往常一般冷静。

家长会后，我随父亲回家，父亲一直没有说话，我先开口了：“爸爸，你以前怎么都不来？”父亲望了望我，说：“那是因为你母亲想来，我以前也想来的，但是你好像不太愿意……”这时，我才知道，父亲和母亲一样爱我，只是，爱的方式不同，那是因为他们的性格不同，所以母亲爱得张狂，父亲爱得委婉，甚至卑微，让父亲变成了一个小人物。

可是，我仍然坚持我的意见，父亲他只是一个给我默默的爱，深深的关心，把我养育长大，却什么也不说的“小人物”。

It is said that Chengdu is a city which if you come you cant leave.It has

a long history.there stands Du Fus thatched cottage ,The Temple of Zhugeliang

and some other place of historical interest.They are all so famous that many

foreign tourists like to come here.Chengdu also has a comfortable weather for

people who live in there.Even though in the winter it is still warmer than any

other cities in China.Besides,as Chengdu people are fond of eating,they have

created many delicious food such as hot pan,Three Big guns,and some others.

赵登禹(1898——1937)，字舜臣，山东菏泽人。1914年加入冯玉祥的部队，后任冯的随身护兵。1926年参加北伐。1933年，任第29军第37师第109旅旅长，后任第132师师长。

1933年初，日本侵略军越过山海关，开始侵袭热河省，在3月4日攻占了承德后，开始向长城各口发动大举进攻。10日，日军逼近喜峰口。赵登禹率部星夜跑步急行军40华里，在日军之前抵达喜峰口孩儿岭，并将敌先头部队击退，在孩儿岭及口门一线稳定了前沿。为了有效消灭进攻阵地的敌军，赵登禹要求部队待敌进至百米之内，再突然出击，以手榴弹炸，用大刀砍。由于两军混杂，使敌飞机、大炮、坦克无法发挥作用。入夜，赵登禹又利用敌军警戒疏忽，率部从两翼迂回敌人侧后，进行包抄袭击，打得敌人措手不及，死伤甚众。战斗中，赵登禹腿部被击伤，但仍裹伤出击率部众与敌肉搏相拼。激战数日，敌人多次攻击不果，锐气尽挫，中国军队取得喜峰口战役胜利。喜峰口战役，共歼灭日军五六千人，狠狠地打击了敌军的嚣张气焰。

全面抗战爆发后，7月下旬，日寇调集数以万计的日军在飞机和坦克的掩护下，分别向北平、天津以及邻近各战略要地大举进攻。担任132师师长的赵登禹，率部抗击日军入侵，守卫北京城外的南苑。日军出动40余架飞机轮番轰炸阵地，并有3000人的机械化部队从地面发动猛烈攻击。132师将士在赵登禹的率领下，不畏强敌，奋勇抵抗。日军将中国军队切成数段，分割包围。部队孤军作战，在敌人炮火和飞机的狂轰滥炸下，损失惨重。赵登禹率部誓死坚守阵地，拼死抗击。

7月28日，在奉命向北平撤退途中，遭致日军伏击，壮烈殉国，牺牲时年仅39岁。毛泽东同志曾高度评价赵登禹等xx党抗日将领，称赞他们在执行抗击日本侵略者的“神圣任务中光荣地壮烈地牺牲了”，他们“给了全中国人民以崇高伟大的模范”。1937年7月31日南京国民政府发布命令，追赠赵登禹为陆军上将。1945年后，北平市政府将北沟沿改名为赵登禹路，以示纪念。新中国成立后，北京市人民政府对卢沟桥西道口的赵登禹烈士墓进行了多次修缮。

A fun-filled， pain-free lifestyle equaling happiness actually reduces their

chances of ever obtaining real happiness. As a result，many people avoid the very

attempts that are the source of true happiness.And the real happiness always

contains some pain .In the other hand， true happiness has nothing to do with

fun. All those who always have so much fun actually may not be happy at all.

I have a bitter experience. When I was a child， I lived a poor life，and I

had a happy and meaningful life in my childhood. And my parents were always

respecting each other. And now we have some money，and our life has improved a

lot. To tell the truth， it is a good thing. Unfortunately，My father always goes

out and takes part in the gambling activities. And my mother sometimes quarrels

with my father. I am extremely unhappy about it. I think money doesnt equal

happiness. And pain-free lifestyle also doesnt equal happiness. The real

happiness is that everyone loves each other， and does everything useful for our

society. Most of my classmates support me. But some of them think money is

everything. In my opinion，we cant do things without money. But money cant take

the place of everything，such as your life，your time and your happiness.
