我有读书的爱好，也有体育运动的爱好，还有对乐器的爱好，如，空闲的时候我会拉上一首小提琴曲或吹上一首笛子曲。虽说不精，但也足以陶冶了我的情操。——这就是爱好广泛的我。

I think reading as the most rewarding entertainment activities in my spare time.

Not only does reading provide me with a wide range of knowledge, it also broaden my mind towards the world. Different sorts of books contain various thoughts of life, work, relationships and cultures. When reading a novel, I can experience joys and tears of the characters through one story after another. When it comes to a biography ,I can even speak to the great person as if he stood towards me. Don’t always regard reading as tools to prepare for exams or show off how knowledgeable the person is.

A true reader is the person who shows knowledge naturally while communicate with others. Reading indeed has an important impact on people’s behavior, which is the reason why I will never give it up.

Mom, dad and my family, I am afraid of mothers voice: I heard every morning my mothers voice telling me to hurry up, hurry up and go to school; the afternoon my mother came back from work, her voice and said to me: "hurry up and do homework, dont watch TV after dinner, also want to read. I was afraid of my fathers hand too. If I got my dad upset, Dad would pick up the broom and frighten me. But I know both my mom and dad are for me.

星期天我和妈妈还有姥爷一起去了沈阳故宫。去故宫之前妈妈给我讲了故宫的历史，我对故宫已经有了初步的了解。可是到故宫听讲解员们的讲解才知道故宫里有这么多鲜为人知的故事，我现在就给大家讲一讲故宫里的有趣故事。

第一个是“八字”的故事。故宫里的建筑最特别的要数它的门和柱子，他们都是下宽上窄的成八字形，崇政殿外有十个亭子，一边五个亭子，两边亭子排列成外八字。满族人为什么喜欢八呢？因为满族人是少不了八旗的，靠着八旗的力量赢得了天下。

第二个故事是关于清朝“清”字的来历。原来清朝的“清”是这个“青”，代表着从草原来的民族。后来努尔哈赤在跟明朝打仗的时候发现明朝的“明”是日月“明”，在五行中代表“火”的意思，而“青”代表草，火可以烧草，这怎么能打败明军呢？努尔哈赤就非常聪明的在“青”字边上加了三点水，就成了后来的清朝了。也就有了故宫凤凰楼三层楼的故事，每一层代表一滴水，三层代表三滴水。水大可以灭火。

第三个是殿低宫高的故事。沈阳故宫为什么宫高殿低呢？第一因为他们是马背上的民族，努尔哈赤先打仗后有家。第二个原因是满族人有这样一个习惯，他们长期在草原上生活，为了防止野兽的袭击，所以把住处修得很高。到故宫以后，他们把这个习惯保留下来，把宫建在了高处，把殿建在低处。而北京故宫正好相反。还有一件事就是努尔哈赤在接见大臣的时候是坐在炕上的而不是坐在龙椅上的。

My name is xxx . There are 4 people in my family. My father is a Chemistry teacher. He teaches chemistry in senior high school. My mother is an English teacher. She teaches English in the university. I have a younger brother, he is a junior high school student and is preparing for the entrance exam.

I like to read English story books in my free time. Sometimes I surf the Internet and download the E- books to read. Reading E- books is fun. In addition, it also enlarges my vocabulary words because of the advanced technology and the vivid animations.

I hope to study both  in English and computer technology because I am interested in both of the subjects. Maybe one day I could combine both of them and apply to my research in the future.
