期中考试已经结束了，这次考试是对于不少刚刚接触英语的初一新生而言是一次重要的考试，是全面衡量学生这段时间学习情况的一次考试。下面我主要从以下几个方面来分析：

一、考试质量分析

1.试题方面

就整个试题而言，考点分布均匀，覆盖面广，考题难度适中，大部分试题能够体现目前注重基础、体现能力的考试命题要求。

2.试卷方面

本次考试题型，分为听力部分、辨音、单项选择、阅读理解、完形填空，词汇运用，阅读表达，翻译句子和写作几个大部分，各部分难易程度不同。大部分题都比较基础，和平时的练习比较起来相对集中一些，更能反映出学生在这一阶段学习中的问题。

此次英语考试的听力部分，内容为与日常教学相关的材料，与所学教材难度相当，较为简单。朗读速度适中，对平日教学的听力训练有着良好的导向作用。但在第一节中还是有部分学生容易犯书写不规范的错误，也有些学生“g”、“j”不分，“r”、“l”混淆，因而造成较多失分。这学期对学生在听力方面的练习不是很多，除了在课堂上少量练习外，平时课下学生几乎得不到练习。

二、分析原因

教师方面的原因：

这段时间由于课时多，时间紧，因此对学生部分知识掌握情况的落实不够，这也是这次考试成绩不高的原因之一。从这次考试中应该吸取这样的教训。在以后的英语教学中，加大管理力度，提高学生在课堂上的学习效率。

学生方面的原因：

1.部分学生的基础知识不够扎实，且大部分学生毫无学习习惯而言，记忆知识极难，遗忘知识快，过去滚瓜烂熟的东西一段时间不用就忘了。

2.学生的应变能力有待提高，不能正确写出单词的正确形式。

三、今后采取的措施

抓好单词、词组过关，狠抓知识落实。在进行单词和词组教学时，首先让学生读准音，然后反复读单词和词组，并找出同义词、反义词、类似用法的词一起记。在进行句型时，以小组合作等方式举一反三，反复练习课堂上学习的句型。平时督促学生多听录音磁带，一星期集中训练两次听力，在培养学生的听力技巧和听力能力上多下功夫，提高他们的听力能力和听力技巧。

我们一走进北京动物园的大门，马上就看到有许多的动物。狮子啦，老虎啦，大象啦……这些动物我在广州动物园都见过了。走着走着，我看见一个牌子，上面写着“动物喂食区”。嘿，这可真新鲜！我还没亲手喂过动物呢，这可真要试试看了。于是我和表妹一起买了一些动物吃的东西就准备喂动物了。

我一走进喂食区，一只全身雪白、毛绒绒的小白兔就蹦到了我的脚下。哈哈，真聪明！难道它知道我有东西给它吃？于是我拿起一根兔子最爱吃的胡萝卜伸到它的嘴边，这小东西马上就津津有味地吃起来，边吃还边用眼瞟我一下，像说：“谢谢你哦！”我刚要对它说不用谢，就听到身后传来了“喵喵喵”的叫声。我转头一看，有一只小猫正仰头盯着我，似乎十分羡慕有东西吃的小兔。我想，有什么东西可以给小猫吃呢？有了，表妹袋里不是有一包鱼松吗？我让表妹把鱼松贡献出来。小猫好像嗅到了什么腥味，鼻子在使劲地抽动着。我把鱼松一递过去，它马上就吃了起来。山羊可真淘气，看我在喂小猫，就拿羊角直抵我手中的白菜，“啪”，菜全掉在地下了，气得我真想打它。可我一举起手，它就“咩咩咩”地叫，像在说：“我饿嘛，我饿嘛！”唉，真拿它没办法，只好全让它吃了。可我一抬起头，一只猴子在几米外正朝我又蹦又跳。糟了，我手上没吃的东西了。我只好捡一点山羊没来得及吃完的白菜给它。它拿起白菜，并没有吃，而是在那里拍了又拍。原来白菜掉在地下沾上了沙子，它要把沙子拍掉才吃，这真是一个鬼灵精啊！

你们瞧，这是一群多么惹人喜爱的小动物啊！

北京动物园之行让我获益良多，我和小动物们成了好朋友。我想，只要我们人类和动物们成为朋友，大家就能一起快乐、和谐地生活在地球村里。

Mother’s day

In the U.S., mother’s day is a holiday celebrated on the second sunday in May. It is a day when children honor their mothers with cards, gifts, and flowers. It was first observed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1907. Long before that, there were days honoring mothers even in ancient Greece. In those days, however, it was Rhea, the mother of the gods who was given honor.

Later, in the 1600s, in England there was an annual observance called "Mothering Sunday". It was celebrated during June, on the fourth sunday. On Mothering Sunday, the servants, who generally lived with their employers, were encouraged to return home and honor their mothers. It was traditional for them to bring a special cake along to celebrate the occasion.

In the U.S., in 1907, Ana Jarvis, from Philadelphia, began a campaign to establish a national mothers day. Jarvis persuaded her mothers church in Grafton, West Virginia to celebrate mothers day on the second anniversary of her mothers death, which was the second sunday in May. The next year mothers day was again celebrated in Philadelphia. Jarvis and others began a letter-writing campaign to ministers, businessmen, and politicians in their quest to establish a national mothers day. They were successful. In 1914, the American president proclaimed mothers day a national observance that was to be held each year on the second sunday of May.
