Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. John has more or less forgiven me now, but he was very angry with me for a few days. I suppose I was a bit careless.

我的爸爸今年四十岁了，他高高的个儿，身材既不胖也不瘦；短短的头发又黑又浓，就仿佛一片浓密的黑森林；眼睛又黑又亮，性格开朗，爱运动。我很喜欢他，他是我学习、生活中的良师益友。

我和爸爸不但是父子关系、师徒关系，还是无话不说的好朋友、有福同享的快乐玩伴，有什么悄悄话我都愿意和他说，有什么好玩具我们都一起玩。今年春节，爸爸买了一架玩具遥控飞机给我，我和爸爸便到操场上玩起来。爸爸尽管是个大人，但是一玩起玩具来却童心未泯，不停地和我比赛谁把飞机遥控飞得最高，结果玩具飞机在他的遥控下越飞越高，超过遥控范围，飞去和白云作伴，再也不回来了……再结果是他又得再买一架玩具遥控飞机赔给我，哈哈，笑死我了！

The shortage of housing is one of the most serious problems facing many big

cities in China. Though the government has spent a large sum of money on

housing,the investment has not been very resultful and a housing shortage still

exists. Two generations sharing one room and newlymarried couples finding it

difficult to have a house of their own are still common cases. Housing shortage

is a problem that requires an immediate solution.

Peoples attitudes towards the solution to the housing problem are

different. Some suggest building more tall apartment buildings; others believe

that we should develop underground housing areas. I am in favour of the former

another, living underground for a long time will do harm to peoples health.

I had finished trainning in army for 8 days.Though this trainning I can learn a lot of things without schooling.I made many new good friends as well.

I never finished a whole work myself before this trainning. Because of this, I failed the most important exam. 到了晚上，吃过晚饭，对家人说了声，就立刻跑去和张建声回合。到了球场，我拿出篮球说：“声，我和你单挑篮球。”声说：“好，就和你单挑。”说完，我们就开始比赛。大概过了两个小时，突然间好像看见爸爸的身影，于是跑上前问：“爸爸，您怎么上来了？这会干扰到我们的比赛。”爸爸说：“我不放心让你在球场上玩那么久，现在社会到处都有坏人，坏人随时都有可能出现在你面前。”说完便拉着我跟声说再见，就回了家，在家里，我对爸爸说：“您为什么要我那么早回家呢？我还没玩够呢！”“已经九点了，你该回家了。”爸爸说。我心里很不服气，爸爸为什么要那么早就把我带回来？

越想越不是滋味，我后来才知道爸爸这是为了我的安全，同时也流露出他对我的爱。

爸爸常常骑着这辆摩托车，载着我去学校，载着我去学吹笛，载着我去石洞景区，载着我去我想要去的地方。

坐在爸爸的摩托车上感觉真好。迎面吹来凉爽的风，看着路边的绿树快速地往后退；抬头仰面张望着天空中的白云，耳边时而传来鸟儿的鸣叫声；随着“突突”的摩托车声，我跟着它的节奏快乐地哼唱着小曲。摩托车快速地飞驰着、飞驰着，仿佛在我的心里驶过一条美丽的弧线。

冬天，北风呼啸着。爸爸开着摩托车，冰冷的风灌入了他的衣服，吹得衣服直打颤，这时爸爸变成了一位“大胖子”。我依偎在他的背后，双手紧紧地抱住爸爸的腰，他那巨大的身躯为我挡住了寒风。就这样，爸爸载着我，载着温暖，一路驶向家……
