Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. 环境保护，这个话题，可以说是家喻户晓，人人皆知。但在现实生活中，一些人还是不太重视，认为微不足道，在我看来，环保要从件件小事做起。我就经历过这样两件小事：有一天，我去超市买东西，快到超市门口时，看见有几个散发宣传单的，见人就给，见车就放，可是有些人却不要，随手就扔地上，我过去将纸扔进垃圾箱里。又看见两个人用胶水将宣传单贴在墙上，远远望去，活像一块块“牛皮癣”趁他们不注意，我又拿出我的绝活“撕纸功”，哈哈，“牛皮癣”被我除掉了一大片。还有一次，我在楼底玩，发现远处草地上冒出了缕缕白烟，走近一看，原来，是我们班一群小孩在那里点火烧草，草黑了一大片，我以大哥哥的身份连忙制止，并讲了火灾的危险性和环保的重要性。他们羞愧难当，赶忙从附近端来水把火熄灭，结束了烧草行动。

我们人类都生活在一个星球上，那就是地球。地球上，有供我们呼吸的氧气，还有茂密的森林、辽阔的草原、无边无际的海洋、各种各样的动物，构成了美丽的大自然。
