我的梦想

I want to be an artist when I grow up. I like drawing. When I was a little kid, I ever won the

first in a drawing competition. I hope to have my own art room. I am taking art lessons every weekend. My art teacher is kind to me. But he is strict with me. I think he can help me to make my dream come true.

Today, my mother and I went to Xiaohe Gou, and we had fun.

When we got there, we saw that the fish pond in Xiaohe ditch was covered with ice. I want to go down to play on the ice, so I decided to try the ice thickness first. A small stream blocked our way further. I looked at what could be used without wood boards around. Presently， a new lifestyle called low carbon life is spreading every corner of our country. The concepts of low carbon are low energy and no waste. It is such a significant project that I can‘t wait to present my ideas on how to promote it.

On the first place， a no-car day is supposed to set up every week in our school. Because cars not only cause serious air pollution but also waste energy. On no-car day， neither students nor teachers are allowed to drive to school. Meanwhile， just walk， jump， cycle or run. Use our legs and enjoy the fun.

在第一个地方，一个无车日应该是在我们学校设立每周。因为汽车不仅会造成严重的空气污染，又浪费能源。对无车日，学生和老师都不允许开车去学校。同时，只是走，跳，循环或运行。使用我们的腿和享受的乐趣。

On the second place， we had best not use plastic bags any more. No one can stand the “white pollution”。 So， it is wise to use bags which can be reused again and again. Finally， one thing that we should keep in mind： every big thing comes from the subtle. Therefore， as students， we ought to turn out the lights the moment we leave， turn off the tap in time， and reuse our textbook and so on.

All in all， it weighs greatly for all of us to put the low carbon lifestyle into practice. Just set our mind to these： no-car day， no plastic bags， and no waste. Let‘s do it now.

This summer holiday, I had travelled to Hong Kong with many other students. We went to Hong Kong by plane. Hong Kong is very small, but there are many people living there.

In Hong Kong, all of the buildings are very tall. There are lots of shops there and you can go shopping until about 11:00 at night. In Hong Kong, things are very expensive, so we only bought a few souvenirs.

We went to lots of places, such as the Avenue of Stars and Ocean Park. I like Ocean Park best. The park is very big. Sitting in the cable car, you can see two hills, lots of different flowers and the sea. Some students were afraid of sitting in the cable car!

We stayed in the Shu Ren College. There are many big trees around it. We had meals in the restaurants, but I didnt like the food.

Hong Kong is very beautiful. I like Hong Kong and I hope to go there again some day.

Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. It falls on the twenty- fifth of December and has the same importance as Chinese New Year to people with English backgrounds. The celebration is for the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God in Christianity. Now days Christmas is no longer only celebrated by the Christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of December everyone gets excited for it’s the day before Christmas which is called Christmas Eve. The children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “Santa Claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” The younger kids actually believe that Santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. Food like short bread and beer are prepared for Santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. Some children put socks and sacks up for the holding of the presents (that their parents put in).

Rise and shine on Christmas morning! The children are always the first ones to wake up, some even do at four. Present wrappers everywhere! They look into their presents with a big smile on their face and oh dear….I hope no one’s disappointed. I feel sorry for anyone that got pink underwear. Children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. The Christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. The tradition of Christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. The rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.

我的梦想是当一个顶级的厨师到世界各地比赛厨艺。第一、当了厨师以后也不用挨饿，可以自己煮东西吃。第二、我可以把我做的爱心食物送给大家吃，第三、退休后，可以自己开店赚钱，最重要的目的还是到世界各地比赛厨艺。

The usage of Internet becomes one of the most controversial topics in the

society. As a college student, I believe Internet is beneficial to me more than

the way it harms me. There are many advantages for using Internet.

First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going

to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago.

It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof.

In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage

to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much

more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time

instead of spending two hours on the bus and physically attend class. In

addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and

professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of

waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a

foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a

message from him very quick. It is much better than waiting for letters. Also,

the email will not lose while the letter might be losing in the process of

delivery.

However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I

might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. Also,

there is a chance that I am cheated because of the Internet purchasing. Last,

Internet has lots of information, both helpful and harmful. There might be too

much tempatation that I will access some of the harmful information I can on the

Internet.

Even though the usage of Internet has both positive and negative effect to

me, I still consider Internet is a symbol of technology development. I believe I

can use the Internet very well as long as I know how to control myself.

Last week, our teacher gave us a task. We needed to interview some people

and collect different opinions. At first, I felt it a difficult task, because I

was such a shy person that I dared not to talk to strangers. In order to finish

the task, I cooperated with my classmates. They helped me to ask people for a

second, then I started to talk with them in a comfortable way. I felt much eased

soon and no longer felt shy. Now I get over my fear and become stronger. This is

the good sign of growing up. I am so thankful to my classmates. Without their

help, I wont go that far.

At noon on Saturday at home I play gyro. Huang bo wen for a while come to my house to play, just come in, mum asked "who are you?" I said, "he is a yellow. When we are little, we are eager to grow up, so that we can break free of parental discipline even leave them far. Since we were a little child, we have to be governed by teachers in school and endure parent’s ramble at home. These are our growing pains. Besides, study, friendship, sometimes campus romance may trouble us. However, as we grow up, we gradually find that things mentioned above are not pains at all. There are much more serious things brother us. For example, we may be less sensitive to the simple happiness and loss them gradually. It’s hard for us to laugh from our heart. Moreover, we are in the age that we are eager to grow up but afraid to grow up either. The ambivalence afflicts us a lot. However, no matter what happens in our growth, they are parts of our lives. We must accept them actively and do not let the pains prevent us from happiness.
