印象之中，母爱如水，温柔细腻;父爱如山，深沉严肃。我的父亲也如此，只不过，父亲的爱来的更深沉，更严肃。

父亲并没有多少文化，读完小学就出来打工。今天的成就，是他一步一个脚印，一滴汗一滴泪堆积出来的。母亲常对我说：“儿子啊，我就是喜欢你老爸的这种踏实。”在母亲心中，他就是她心中惟一的“神”，巍峨如山，不可动摇。

正是因为没有多少文化，所以父亲对我的期望特别高，恨不得让我读最好的学校。

有一次，我因为贪玩而没有认真学习，语文只考了个72分，那是我有史以来的最差成绩。看着成绩单，心里面打了个颤栗，心湖翻滚不停，似乎预示着一场暴风雨即将来临。

我低着头，胆战心惊地交上成绩单。父亲望着那份成绩单，脸上的阴霾是我从来没见过的。我手心里的冷汗一下子冒出来。惨了，这次不死也半残了!

我望着父亲那只缓缓抬起的布满老茧的手，心中无端的一阵悸动。暴风雨来了!……但意外的是，父亲的手慢慢垂了下来。

“儿子，老爸知道，玩是孩子的天性，这样没错，我也不反对。但像你这时候的我，已经没书读了，还谈什么玩呢?因为没有学历，老爸差点找不到工作，我是靠着一点一点的努力才走到今天这一步的，你以为很容易吗?这里面不知流了多少的汗水和泪水!而你要是这样去面对生活的话，你会一事无成!儿子，将来的路要靠你自己去闯，你明白吗?”

父亲的几句话，仿佛一块从天而降的巨石，狠狠地砸在了我的心头上，是那样的沉重。

我再望了望父亲那一双手。那一双因长期劳动而布满老茧的手;那一双给我带来幸福生活的手，我心酸了，我落泪了。我真的不该那么做，我真的不该让他们失望。我不该贪玩了，我要努力学习，我要让老爸为我感到自豪、骄傲!

我豁然间发现，其实在母亲那温柔细腻的爱的背后，还有父亲那深沉严肃，不善表达的爱。当我生病发烧时，母亲为我忙碌在房间的背影后，还有父亲那一双凝望着我的眼睛。

一切的一切，让我知道，父亲对我的爱，是掩藏在内心的最深处，深得让我难以捕捉、难以察觉……

我终于明白：父亲那深沉而严肃的爱蕴藏在那一双布满老茧的大手上，蕴藏在那一双坚毅而又充满期待的眼睛中……

After a short but happy winter holiday, we come back to school today.
