在西安共发现了4个陪葬坑，其中3个坑都放满了兵马俑，却有一个坑内没有任何兵马俑。至今，考古学家还在调查坑里为什么会是空的。

兵马俑在中国历史上，留下了不可抹去的成就。它在泥土中埋了两千多年，却能完好无损的保存下来，多么不可思议啊!

橘子是秋季必不可少的美味果实，我觉得如果苹果是水果王国的大臣，那么橘子就是水果王国的国王。

橘子的种类有17到20种，我们一般见到橘子主要有：砂糖橘、蜜橘、贡橘、黄岩橘、栌橘等等。

橘子的生长过程可就厉害了!原先还是一颗小种子，放进泥土中，经过漫长的时间，长出一条茎，开始长出1~2片叶子，后来变得越来越多，变成了一个花形，花瓣里长出一个不大不小的花蕊，花蕊越来越大，最终形成我们口中吃的橘子。

橘子的产地主要分布在北纬35°以上，主产以浙江、四川、福建、广西、江西、湖北、广东、湖南、重庆和台湾等10个省区。现在安徽、上海等地也渐渐培养起橘子。人人说，南方的橘子又大又甜，北方却只能种出又酸又苦的枳子。恰好“南橘北枳”这个词语，就可以验证这句话。

橘子的产量：以每亩种植的园地为例，一般亩产4000斤左右。

橘子的外表十分粗糙，和铠甲有一比，拿着橘子闻一闻，外皮有一些苦，但剥开外皮，突然一股清凉，香气扑鼻而来，让人食欲大开。

我家的小青蛙是妈妈帮我买的，因为我房间旁边的小屋子里有许多花草，花草会生很多的小虫子，所以妈妈才决定买一只小青蛙，回来消灭它们。

我家的小青蛙它身穿绿棉袄，背上还有许多黄色的小条纹，青蛙的腿和兔子的腿差不多，它们都是前腿短，后腿长，它的后腿比前腿发达。所以跳得远就是这个原因吧!它的脚掌大大的，身体肌肉发达。

我把小青蛙放在那个房间里吃虫子，我在那里给它做了一个小床，专门给青蛙休息，青蛙在房间里面还可以吃到美味的虫子，我可谓给了它一条龙的服务。它享受的可是总统套房的待遇。

When I was very young ,the sky in my hometown was nice and beautiful, the sky was very blue,and the air was fresh. There were some birds singing ,and there were many trees in the fields. I often played with my friends in the open air.I liked it.

Now the people are rich ,but the sky in my homerown isnt blue .the trees were cut down , and there arent many birds. And the air isnt fresher than before. The rubbish is put here and there, it was bad for our health.So wo must do something to protect the environment. If we make a contribution to protecting the environment,the sky will become much more beautiful.

在我们搬家的时候，我在柜子的角落里找到了一部已经过时很久的相机。出于好奇，我便用它拍了些照片，觉得很好玩，便把它带去了新家。

我的这个文具盒，是和路佳静一起买的。我俩一人买了一个，我们都很喜欢它。

我的文具盒大部分都是粉色的。不过，中间凸起一条远远的线，线包围起来一些地方，这块儿地方是白色的，上面还镶有一个大大的蝴蝶结，给这个铅笔和增添了不少色彩，俏皮，可爱。蝴蝶结的周围，有许多小粉色的小圆点，他们参差不齐的点在了白色地方。在蝴蝶结的下方，还嵌这一条雪白色的花边，与蝴蝶结的底部有一些重叠。就仿佛一个可爱、害羞的小姑娘，用袖子遮着脸，不愿意被人发现。

九寨沟里有大大小小的湖泊，共计一百四十多个。它们被称为“海子”，因为九寨沟远离大海，住在这里的人们向往和崇敬大海。每个海子都有一个神秘的故事，其中我印象最深的是五花海和熊猫海。

五花海很美，水有各种各样的颜色。黄的像梨子、白的像珍珠、蓝的像宝石、绿的像翡翠。在阳光的照射下，闪闪发亮，就像彩虹掉进了水里。五花海呈椭圆形，它水里的景色也十分漂亮。由于钙化，枯死的树木沉积在底部，就像一丛丛美丽的珊瑚。

大熊猫很喜欢生活在海拔2600-3500米的茂密竹林里，因为里面有大熊猫们最爱的竹子。大熊猫每天有一半时间进食，一半时间在美好的梦中度过。大熊猫也有特长，例如：它们善于爬树，也爱嬉戏，不过这种行为一般发生在准备到求婚期或有危险时。目前我们发现：在野外的大熊猫寿命为18—20岁，不过圈养状态下是可以超过30岁的。

大熊猫的祖先生活在2-3百万年前的洪积纪早期。大熊猫的祖先是食肉的，不过后来大熊猫们适应了竹林生活，从此就开始依赖竹子了。这就是为什么现在的部分熊猫只吃竹子不吃肉了。

钱是冷的，而人却已经把自己所有的热量给了所谓能使鬼推磨的、抖起来哗哗作响的钞票。见过一目镜头，一直记到了今天，总觉得一辈子也不会忘记。

雾气浓重的大街上，如针般的雨打在花花绿绿的伞上，开出了一朵又一朵的亮晶晶的水花，失去双腿的乞讨者趴在一个滑动的木板上，雨水从他的身上流过，变成了浓浓的灰黑色。不知怎的，我忽然想起了“鞋儿破，帽儿破，身上的袈裟破”的旋律，不禁哑然失笑——帽子和袈裟，就连一双破鞋对这个乞讨者来说也是奢侈品，他只有两个伤口，被路过的人投去惊异甚至是厌恶的目光。伤口结的痂一次次被恶毒的目光与言语挑开，仅剩的尊严从这伤口中飞一般的流光了，只留下对命运和对他人的顺从和妥协，他学会了逆来顺受，学会了低声下气地为了一个馒头的钱而不断地叩首，羸弱地说谢谢直到施与者心满意足地离开。

感动我们的那一份温暖，也许就来自心头小小的火种，或者只是我们手中可以付出的一切。

I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong

University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I

am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology

(NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During

the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among

the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I

got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission

test.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5%

in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is

given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer

Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the

ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university.

Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of

Excellent Graduation Thesis.

Research experience and academic activity

When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to

narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and

Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It

is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled

a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This

was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and

experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research

interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research

(especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid

system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

I have a beautiful room. Although my room is very small, I love it very much. Look, there is a bed near the window. I like sunshine so my bed is set near the window. In front of the bed, there is a desk on which is several series of books. What’s more, I have plastered my bedroom wall with photos of my family. The light in my bedroom is light pink because I like this color.
