The Great Wall of China, also known in China as the Great Wall of 10,000, is an ancient Chinese fortification built from the end of the 14th century until the beginning of the 17th century, during the Ming Dynasty, in order to protect China from raids by the Mongols and Turkic tribes. The first major wall was built during the reign of the First Emperor, the main emperor of the short-lived Qin dynasty. The primary purpose of the wall was not to keep out people, who could scale the wall, but to insure that semi-nomadic people on the outside of the wall could not cross with their horses or return easily with stolen property.

With the brilliant fireworks light the sky, the prelude of the festival is

My New Years Resolution

2014 will be end ,and 2015 will be come. In the new year ,we must be have much wishes, because new year means that things end and another things start. So we need to make a new years resolution in order to the second year will be better. I want to share my new years resolution with you. Firstly, I decide to try my best to learn english. because my english so poor that it affects my other subject. I will face many differences, such as broadening my vocabulary, training my listening, improving my write and so on. I must work hard because I dont want to behind the times. Secondly, I will give up watching football games because every time it takes me two hours, which makes me not finish my homework. As a student, study is our duty, so I will focused more on study and less on playing . In order to my future, I will work hard.

Today I found time was a cruel thing. Whatever man is, time always goes on. It won’t stay to wait for somebody. You can’t use anything to exchange time. Time is also a fair thing.

Although you have a lot of money or you enjoy high reputation, time won’t leave them more. Today I found I hadn’t enough time. Although I have 50-day holiday, but I found I had a lot of things to do. I had a lot of homework to do and I had something necessary to do.

Three days ago we decided to visit the Great Wall.

Today we met at the bus stop early in the morning. When we were on the bus, we saw a lot of new buildings and new shops.Beijing was taller than before, I thought.

tried to build their homes near the sources of fresh water. Now fresh water is

becoming scarce， but more and more is needed because of the increasing number of

people in the world. Some industries also use large amounts of fresh water in

the production of things such as steel， petroleum， paper and rubber and so on.

Scientists estimate that the need for fresh water will have doubled by the year

2003. If they are correct， we must find new ways of saving it or producing it.

Some nations have worked on the problem and are already sharing their

information with others. They are trying to keep their rivers from becoming

polluted. Deep wells are also being dug， and rain water is being collected in

huge artificial lakes. In one way or another， they hope to provide enough water

to satisfy the needs of their people.

Today, my mother and I went to Xiaohe Gou, and we had fun.

When we got there, we saw that the fish pond in Xiaohe ditch was covered with ice. I want to go down to play on the ice, so I decided to try the ice thickness first.
