Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. The quality of human life has improved greatly over the past few centuries, but Earth is being harmed more and more by human activity. As we develop our technology, we demand more from our planet. Eventually, this will harm people as well.

Our planet gives us everything we need, but natural resources are not endless. Strip mining devastates whole regions, leaving bare and useless ground. People need to respect the Earth and try to preserve it. If we dont, what kind of future will we have?

ChenMo is my desk mate who is a good student in the eyes of classmates andteachers.

She is the first one to get to school every day.

我爱我家，爱的是一份真实，爱的是一种自在。我不愿穿戴昂贵的服饰，不愿拥有名牌，不喜西装革履，衣香鬓影的场合，因为我深知在这看似高贵与奢华之下的不会是最真实的自己。我宁可当一颗野草，自在的生活于大地，享受着独我的那一两滴雨露，欣赏着属我的那番景象。野草也有高贵的自在，俯视红尘大地，会看到小小窗口里挤着一群名贵高级的人。

佛曾说，假使有人，为其爹娘，戳其眼睛，割其心肝，百千万戟一时刺身，经百千劫，犹不能报父母深恩……听到这我内心不禁感动又不禁愧疚。我十四岁就离家到外地读书，但我每次回家，父母犹恐我在外面受苦，拼命给我吃，然后在我背包里塞东西，通常回家就和小过年似的，包里有饼干、水果，还有一些母亲自己腌的泡水喝的梅子之类。

中国有句古话“家家菩提佛，户户观世音”，用来形容极乐净土思想深入人心，可我以为林清玄另解读为家家户户都有真佛祖、活菩萨更好，对我们的父母、对我们的兄弟姐妹都怀有一种珍惜敬爱之心。这才能是我们相信我们每日每日烧香供奉的世界上真实的存在着净土地，我们生活的地方不是婆娑。

人在外打拼就像在沙漠里行走，看到远处的城堡，一路狂奔，到最后才发现都是海市蜃楼，而身旁的玫瑰与绿洲早已失去了足迹，目视远方，心系身旁。

The hot sun is like our enthusiasm, because no matter how hot the weather is, we still keep on studying English hard.

Today, the chinese teacher taught us some English songs. I like the song which is called ”seasons in the sun” very much. We all lost ourselves in the beautiful voice. Today our theme is youth.
