The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation.It played a GREat part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. But The Old Man and the Sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me.

I first read this book when I was in my fifteens. And now I remember it just as well as if I had read it yesterday.

Pride and Prejudice is a chefdoeuvre.

My first impression of this story was from screen.

Its long long ago, maybe before I can read english books. I dont remember which movie edition I had seen. But I was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. I was very favor of a section of music in its balls. Its pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. Regarding to the characters, I liked Elizabeth, the heroine,though I didnt think shes beautiful. But shes smart. However, I didnt pay much attention to the plot. I thought its so long that it made me impatient and bored. By now, I havent read the whole story in English or its Chinese version, either. I owe it to my prejudice.

This year summer vacation, I read the American well-known writer Hemingways novel “ old person and sea ”。 I extremely admire in the novel the senior fishermans will, he let me understand one person certainly must have relentless spirit, only then could obtain successfully.

读了《西游记》我深有感触，文中曲折的情节和唐僧师徒的离奇的经历都给我留下了深刻的印象。

《西游记》塑造了四个鲜明的人物形象：唐僧诚心向佛、顽固执着，孙悟空正义大胆、本领高超是妖怪们的克星，猪八戒贪财好色，但又不缺乏善心，沙僧心地善良、安于天命。这四个人物形象被吴承恩描写得生动有趣，他们各有各的特点，性格各不相同。

在唐僧师徒四人中，孙悟空是第一个发现妖怪，可是他的师傅唐僧是肉眼凡胎看不见妖精的真面目分辨不出，经常错怪孙悟空。在《三大白骨精》这个片段中唐僧被白骨精的妖术所迷惑，责怪悟空滥杀无辜，对他实行惩罚——念紧箍咒，让悟空疼痛难耐，不给他解释的机会。悟空虽然心有不甘，但还是听师傅的话，不死皮赖脸地跟着师傅。当唐僧被妖怪捉去，八戒找他寻求帮助是，他一听到师傅有难，就义无返顾地跑去救师傅，没有半句怨言。他虽然天生比较冲动，性格也比较火爆，有时会冲动而杀生，不过他杀得都是妖怪，他的本性可是善良的。

虽然唐僧有时候是非不分但是却也有着超乎常人的执着与坚持不懈的意志力。为了到达西天取得真经以造福苍生，他没有为了快速到达西天取经而让悟空翻筋斗去取，而是要求自己一步一个脚印不急于求成踏踏实实地走去，当孙悟空提议要背他去取经时，他严词拒绝。

唐僧师徒四人每人都有长处和短处，正是他们互相帮助，取长补短，才取得了真经。这又让我懂得了想要办成一件大事，必须大家齐心协力，团结一致，才能成功。

今年国庆，我读了美国著名作家海明威的小说《老人与海》。我十分佩服小说中老渔夫的意志，他让我懂得了一个人一定要有坚持不懈的精神，才能获得成功。

小说描写的是一个年近六旬的老渔夫，在一次单身出海打鱼时，钓到了一条大鱼，却拉不上来。老渔夫同鱼周旋了几天后，才发现这是一条超过自己渔船数倍的大马林鱼，虽然明知很难取胜，但仍不放弃。后来又因大马林鱼伤口上的鱼腥味引来了几群鲨鱼抢食，但老人仍不愿就这样放弃，最终突出重围，将大鱼带回了渔港，让其他渔夫佩服不已。

当我读到“老渔夫想：这里离海岸实在是太近了，也许在更远的地方会有更大的鱼……”时，我十分佩服这位老渔夫，因为他这时已经打到了一些鱼，但他没有安于现状，而是向着更大的目标前进。再看看我们，平时遇到一点小困难，我们都叫苦连天。我们是祖国的未来，应该像这位老人一样胸怀大志，去追求更好、更大的目标。

当我读到“大马林鱼开始快速地围着小渔船游动，将缆绳缠绕到了桅杆上，老人右手高举着钢叉，在它跃出水面的一瞬间，竭尽全力地向它的心脏掷去，一声哀鸣结束了大鱼的生命，它静静地浮在水面上……”时，我的心也像一块大石头落了地。我非常钦佩老人那种毫不畏惧、坚持不懈的精神，虽然知道对手实力很强，但他没有丝毫退缩，而是迎难而上。正因为有了这种精神，老渔夫才获得了这场生死较量的胜利。我们在生活中也要学习老渔夫的精神，做事情不怕困难，才能取得成功。

在读到大鱼的血腥味被一群鲨鱼嗅到了，争相游来抢食，老人的左手正好在抽筋，他只能使用右手，用木棒、捕到的剑鱼的嘴等一切可以用来攻击的武器自卫，并最终赶走了这群鲨鱼。但大鱼的肉已经被吃了一大半，而老人还风趣地批评自己的左手“该工作的时候却在休息”的时候，我也被老人乐观的精神所折服。在生活中，有些损失是不可避免的，我们应该以乐观的态度来对待，不能斤斤计较。

最后，小说以一个少年看到老渔夫在度量足有十八英尺长的大马林鱼，再次描写了这条鱼的巨大，说明老渔夫所克服的困难之大，非比寻常。

小说歌颂了老渔夫不畏艰险努力奋斗的精神，我们也应该像他那样，不能满足于现状，应该积极向上，做任何事都要坚持不懈，遇到困难要迎难而上，决不能半途而废。只有这样，我们才能获得更大的成功和胜利。

《老人与海》塑造了一个经典的硬汉形象。古巴的一个名叫桑地亚哥的老渔夫，独自一个人出海打鱼，在一无所获的84天之后钓到了一条无比巨大的马林鱼。这是老人从来没见过也没听说过的比他的船还长两英尺的一条大鱼。鱼大劲也大，拖着小船漂流了整整两天两夜，老人在这两天两夜中经历了从未经受的艰难考验，终于把大鱼刺死，拴在船头。然而这时却遇上了鲨鱼，老人与鲨鱼进行了殊死搏斗，结果大马林鱼还是被鲨鱼吃光了，老人最后拖回家的只剩下一副光秃秃的鱼骨架。

当我读到老渔夫与鲨鱼进行激烈的搏斗时，我真为他担心，可是，他总是保持着乐观的精神去面对一些极大的困难，看到这里，我不由得想起自己。每当我遇到了一些困难时，总是觉得很不顺心，觉得很烦，很想逃避现实。再看看渔夫爷爷，不管遇到任何困难也毫不退缩，而是勇敢地去面对!

做人也应该这样，不要一幅贪生怕死的样子，要对自己有信心。即使我们遇到重重困难，也绝不应该让它给打倒，应该勇敢地去消灭它。

我们是祖国的未来，应该渔夫爷爷一样胸怀大志，去追求更好，更大的目标。我相信，在我的努力下，我一定会变得像渔夫爷爷那样勇敢，那样勇于拼搏。人生本来就是一种无止境的追求。它的道路漫长、艰难，而且充满坎坷，但只要自己勇敢顽强地以一颗自信的心去迎接挑战，他将永远是一个真正的胜利者!

我将要记住：一个人不是生来要给打败的，你尽可以消灭它，可就是打不败他。

“大河向东流哇，天上的星星参北斗哇，说走咱就走你有我有全都有，路见不平一声吼哇，该出手时就出手哇，风风火火闯九州哇！”这歌词让我想起了水浒传中那108位豪放不羁的好汉。正如歌词里面所说，有福同享有难同当是他们为人的前提；路见不平拔刀相助是他们的性格；风风火火闯四方是他们的爱好。就是这样的一帮人在我国历史的长河上上演了

一次轰轰烈烈的反抗运动。

最记得天真烂漫的李逵，他颇有些野，动不动就发火，遇事不问青红皂白，总是一说二骂三打。结果不是吃亏就是后悔，但是却有“富贵不能__，贫贱不能移，威武不能屈”的气概，最重要的是他身上有一种英雄气概，有一种愿意为兄弟两肋插刀的仗义，他这一点让我尤其感动。背信弃义是一种可耻的行为，小到对朋友仗义，大到对国家的大义，也就是要把国家建设的繁荣昌盛。这是我从李逵身上学到的东西。

忘不了小旋风柴进的仗义疏财，忘不了豹子头林冲雪夜被逼上梁山，也忘不了行者武松在战场上的潇洒英姿。这些可歌可泣的英雄好汉最后却起义失败，不免让我为他们感到心酸，为了国家和人民的安居乐业，他们豁出了自己的性命和一生，贡献给了全国人民，他们这种奉献精神是我们永不能忘并要发扬光大的。

也许，这本书中的有些英雄人物是虚构的，但是我相信作者的意图是让我们知道国家对老百姓的态度是多么重要，同样老百姓对国家的态度也是关系到这个民族的存亡、强大或者衰落。正在成长中的我们要努力学习，一定要把国家建设的昌盛繁荣，让中国真正地步入世界强国之林。

《青鸟》这本书是比利时的著名文学家莫里斯·梅特林克的作品。这本书以自己的玄妙深邃和明晰平易成为梅特林克著作中最独特的一部。我细细地品读了这一篇畅销世界的名篇佳作。

这本书主要讲小男孩狄狄和小女孩美狄在圣诞节前夜做梦的时候，为了寻找治疗仙女贝里吕娜女儿疾病的青鸟，与面包、火、水等一起踏上了探险之路的故事。他们路经思念之乡、夜宫、森林、墓地、幸福花园和未来之国后醒了过来，发现青鸟就在他们的家里。邻居的女儿生了重病，请求狄狄和美狄把青鸟送给她。小姑娘得到了青鸟后病就好了，青鸟却飞走了。原来，仙女的女儿根本就没有生病，仙女是要让孩子们懂得怎样追求真正的幸福。

当我读完这本书时，我一遍一遍地问自己：幸福是什么?对于我们小学生而言，幸福好像就是作业全部做完，躺着看电视。可是这本书说，幸福的真谛是：欣赏我们的思想和周围的简单完美的快乐。

为什么这样说呢?首先理解一下什么叫简单完美的快乐。举个例子来说吧，想象就是一种简单完美的快乐。它是很简单，你只需要一双远望的眼睛和思维开阔的头脑就足够了;它非常的完美，你可以把看到的东西变成另一幅美丽的画。当我看着我的家的时候，我就想像着衣柜里的衣服在热情地跳着华尔兹;灯光像一个美丽的少女走在每一个家庭里传着她的爱;冰箱里，肥肥胖胖的面包笑着挤了出来，它身上的面粉像是围绕着他的一团团的雾……

我经常发现，当我做这些事情时，我的心里会不由自主地萌发一种快乐之感。这种快乐，是除去复杂的困惑、不完美的缺憾以及心灵深处的邪恶杂质后留下的纯粹的快乐。

《青鸟》这本书用自己引人入胜的故事情节和字里行间蕴藏着的幸福密码让我喜欢上了它，它真是一本好书!

咦，这本书的名字好奇怪，《钢铁是怎样炼成的》，钢铁不就是用火炼的吗，这还用说。在好奇心的驱使下，我成为了这本书的一位俘虏。我被他激昂的文字给深深地感染了、着迷了、感动了……这本书是苏联人奥斯特·洛夫斯基写的，由赵建所翻译的。

其实，这本书里炼的不是真正的钢铁，而是像钢铁一样坚守己之信念的心也。本书主角：保尔·柯察金，一位一代共青团委员、团州委书记，在后来因生病，从而退出，最后双目失明、双腿残疾，于是便奋发写作，写成《暴风雨所诞生的》小说三章，却被邮局弄丢了，他气的恨不得自杀，但还是不放弃，提起笔来重头开始，终于炼就了钢铁之心。

可见，练就钢铁之心的乃是坚持也，没有坚持就练不成钢铁，有了坚持才可炼成之。正所谓坚持乃生命之本也，没有坚持不成方圆，可见坚持是多么宝贵、多么重要。

坚持是什么?坚持就是在病魔面前不低头;坚持是什么?坚持就是虽然身负重伤，却仍然一心一意坚守在自己的岗位之上;坚持是什么?坚持就是就算被逼绝境，也不愿意向死神投降;坚持是什么?坚持就是……坚持的人才能真正的获得并领悟人生的炼钢术，只有他们才能使自己的心灵变得高洁，他们才是真正的人。

这本书教会了我坚持，让我明白生活中没有投机取巧，有的只是坚持不懈的精神，只有坚持才能成功，成功贵于坚持，只有坚持才能被成功认可!

《百万英镑》是马克.吐温写的一篇中篇幽默讽刺小说。本文故事是，一位公务员出海时在公海中迷了路，被救起后随船到了英国。在英国他成了流浪汉，因为一次两名富翁打赌，给他了一张100万英镑整的钞票，看他可不可以养活自己一个月。因为无法证明钞票归他所有，他一开始不敢花，后来实在饿得没有办法，拿钞票去饭店试试，结果店老板认为他是个富翁，允许他欠账，还想送给他东西，讨好他。结果他用这种方式，弄够了所有生活用品，还和别人合作赚了30万英镑。

这篇文章讽刺了那些以貌取人、见钱眼开的人。这些人见对方有钱，就甘愿为对方服务，而对于对方虚实，一概不问。他们这类人为金钱服务，信奉 “金钱万能”。这种人若变多，就会助长“金钱万能”这种社会风气的形成，金钱会异化成为人们的唯一动力。当前我们身边社会，也有这种习气的存在。从大处说，去年曾有某造纸工厂排污不达标一次用120万元买断全年的罚款，从小处说，找人办事送礼成风也是这种习气的体现。因此，我们不能信奉“金钱万能”，而且凡遇到事情，应该从本质着眼，看清事物的真相，而不应只看表面，不应盲从。

《钢铁是怎样炼成的》是由前苏联无产阶级革命作家尼古拉奥斯特洛夫斯基通过小说主人公保尔柯察金一生坎坷的经历，丛少年保尔到钢铁保尔赞颂了主人公顽强不屈的抗争精神为集体奉献的无私精神。

这部作品的主人公保尔柯察金因得罪神父被学校开除只能到火车站食堂打工。当时他只有十一岁，却要轮二十四小时的班。保尔在打工期间看到了底层人民生活的艰苦以及上流社会的丑恶面目。从那时，保尔的心中可能就有了阶级斗争的意识。后来，因为没人换班，保尔要多值班，但是保尔太累了便趴在柴火堆上睡着了。忘了关水，于是搞得水淹满了整个食堂。保尔因此被揍了一顿，被赶出了食堂。他的哥哥为了帮他报仇，被抓去宪兵队关了六天。后来，保尔便到了发电厂打工。在这期间沙皇被推翻了，但是实际上只是换汤不换药，后来保尔在朱赫来的引导下加入了共青团也与冬妮娅分别，之后它参加了国内战争，之后保尔柯察金在战斗中受伤，整整昏迷了十三天。后来保尔身体恢复了，却在没有办法上战场。保尔便积极地参加了国内的革命运动。后面他主动请缨要去修铁路，他在修铁路的时候，不顾命德工作，冻得脚都快掉了。艰苦到每天都只能躺在潮湿的水泥地中休息。但保尔凭借着他钢铁般的意志和精神坚持了下来。后面，保尔双目失明，双腿瘫痪，他本想结束自己的生命。但是，他知道这是懦夫的做法，便放弃了自杀。之后他又投入到了新的工作之中——创作。

奥斯特洛夫斯基曾说，钢，是在烈火与骤冷中铸造而成的，只有这样他才能成为坚硬的，都不惧怕，我们这一代人也是在这样的斗争中，在艰苦的考验中锻炼出来的。并且学会了在生活面前不颓废。奥斯特洛夫斯基逝世时年仅三十二岁，当时他已经是闻名世界的无产阶级革命作家。他与病魔搏斗的精神是所有时代人推崇和珍视的，他将继续激励全世界的读者，为美好的生活艰苦的奋斗下去。

《水浒传》是一本十分经典的小说。可以与它相并列的还有《三国演义》《红楼梦》《西游记》这四本合称“四大名著”

《水浒传》真实的描写了宋代时以宋江为首的农民起义，从发生，发展到失败的全过程，在字里行间中逐渐揭露出当时社会的黑暗和腐败，以及统治阶级的种.种罪恶。同时也赞颂了英雄们的正义行为和不朽的精神，他们帮助百姓们安居乐业。从而塑造出了一百零八将的梁山好汉，塑造出了正义的形象。

在全书中我最喜爱“花和尚”鲁智深。他虽然长着一副十分凶猛的外表，但是却怀有一颗善良真诚的心。他见义勇为，嫉恶如仇。在他听到一对父女对郑关西的哭诉后，十分厌恶屠夫，便答应父女俩会惩罚一下郑屠夫。但一不小心失手便三拳打死了郑屠夫，又保护这对父女送出了镇子。他与屠夫和这对父女都不认识。但是当他听到了屠夫的险恶。于是出于良心，他看不下屠夫对行为。也不顾自己的地位，去帮父女脱离苦难。这也表现出了他十分的正义，爱憎分明。

《水浒传》讲述了一些民间的英雄故事，也让我对他们的忠义感到震撼，使我对他们原先的看法发生了截然不同的感受。
