第一次和姐姐单独出去，我特别兴奋，破天荒的早起，吃好早饭，整理好行李，爸爸就带我们去地铁站了。这也是我第一次坐地铁，感觉一切都是那么新鲜好奇。我们从自动扶梯走下去，地面上的热气马上消息了，只有一股凉风扑面而来，实在是太舒服了。只见姐姐在自动售票机点了几点居然有票出来了。好神奇啊！过安检，进站后，真的到了坐地铁的地方，那边的温度又凉爽了点，简直是人间仙境。地铁来了，姐姐拉我进去，只见地铁一眼望不到尽头，那驾驶员坐在哪里呢？后来又空位，我坐了下来，瞬间有一阵妖风吹来，一份寒冷，令我毛发直竖，这地铁的速度简直太快了。还再感叹地铁的飞速时，我们居然到了火车东站。

我们走出地铁站，伸了伸懒腰，简直被眼前的东站惊呆了，就和飞机场差不多。候车室的天花板仿佛是另一篇天空，听说还是太阳能感光板，一年能发很多电，科技太伟大了，还可以看到很多很多的音响和电子版。由于我们的车还要20分钟，我们就无奈的坐着等着。候车室的广播通知这每辆列车的状态，人也越来越少，当说到去往厦门的车辆即将到站，我精神大振，换我拉着姐姐去检票口等着。检完票，我们找到自己的车厢和位置，坐了下来。我就坐在窗外，动车行驶时，我可以欣赏沿路的风景：我看到了雄壮的钱塘江，看到农民伯伯在用牛耕地，看到有小孩在水里玩…。.这风景实在是太多了。之后，我感觉越来越困，慢慢地眼睛一点点闭上了。当我醒来时，已经在福建了。

During last summer vacation, I paid a visit to my uncle’s. It was the first time I had seen the sea. Tow years ago my uncle, a closed friend of my father, transferred from Shanxi to Yantai, a beautiful port city; and then my aunt joined him a couple months later. And a year later I became their guest and was going to stay with them for a week. I was fascinated by the vastness of the sea, the clean and soft sand on the beach, the seagulls flying in the sky and the beauty of the golden sunset clouds over the dark blue water. But I missed the sunrise each day, for I couldn’t get up early enough.

On the fifth day, the alarm clock woke me up when it was still dark outside, I hurried to the beach and stood in the cool breeze there, the sky was turning grey little by little, the sea was calm and all was so quiet that I felt I was surrounded by mysteries, then suddenly, in the faraway horizon, golden beans of light were shooting up into the sky. A moment later, a corner of the sun appeared. The sun was rising very slowly and reluctantly as if it was unwilling to leave the sea. At last the entire sun lay on the horizon, so big and so red, it looked like a huge ripe orange or a tender half-boiled yolk. 我们去厦门旳第二天是去鼓浪屿，在漫长旳路上，导游对我们说这鼓浪屿名字旳由来：厦门是个半岛，而鼓浪屿，则是厦门旳一部分，靠海边，海水冲上来像鼓敲一样，就是鼓，浪，就是海浪，而屿，就是岛屿旳意思。

到了鼓浪屿，人们陆续下车了，我们一家人来到了日光岩。日光岩耸峙与鼓岛中偏南部，巨石耸立，树木葱茏，登临俯瞅，厦鼓景物，仅收眼底。沿着岛上旳窄巷曲径坡道，走进“日光岩公园”。观看着园内旳古树绿草，欣赏着园内旳鸟语花香，沿着一级级旳台阶，边向日光岩攀去，边观赏园内和巨石上旳古迹。有为了减缓士兵想家思家之念旳“中秋博饼”。还传说日光岩原为“晃岩”，郑成功见其景色远远超过日本旳“日光山”，就将“晃”字折成“日光”，故称为日光岩，由此又将园内旳莲花奄改名为日光寺。还有一些名人、文人在日光岩上旳巨石崖刻也吸引着游人，在几十米高旳巨石峭崖上旳“天风海涛”、“鼓浪洞天”、“鹭江第一”等崖刻苍劲有力，增添了日光岩旳壮美。还有蔡廷锴将军旳“心存只手补天工，八闽屯兵古今洞；当年石垒依然在，日光岩下忆英雄”，以及与此意境完全不同，刻在巨石架叠而成旳“古避署洞”外石头上旳蒋鼎文旳“日光岩，石磊磊，环海梯天成玉垒，上有浩浩之天风，下有泱泱之大海”等诗篇，更增添了日光岩旳古风异彩，文雅灵气。

在巨石上旳“百米高台”石刻旳指引下，沿着级级石阶旳攀天梯，扶着不锈钢旳扶手，向日光岩极顶攀去。望着上面在天空里旳光溜溜旳石头，看看下面如似万丈深渊，由于去旳很早，上面还没有游人，心里不禁有些害怕起来，腿也不自觉旳显得有些哆嗦，我一个劲地勉励自己，不要害怕，一定要攀上去。慢慢地扶着扶手，上到了两个石台旳鞍部，我先去到了较矮旳一个石台，把着扶手向百米高台顶上看去，在那四十多平米左右旳高台上，有一个人造旳如碉堡之类旳建筑，台阶直通到他旳顶上，扶手把他四周相围，那是人们一个最好旳观景点。被那雄伟旳高台所吸引，一鼓作气爬到了高台旳极顶，顿时眼界大开：海上岸边，山水楼阁，看旳清清楚楚，真真切切，一览无余。居高临下之快感，心潮起伏，豪情奔放，心情豁然开朗。

在日光岩极顶看鼓浪屿，鼓浪屿旳全景尽收眼底。海边白沙碧浪，礁石鬼斧神工。岛上从英雄岩到浩月园，从燕尾山到菽庄花园，在一片绿树丛中，显现出座座别墅，低层楼房，那各式各样旳房顶、窗户，各种颜色旳墙壁，使人如在画中。不足两平方公里旳岛上分布着1000多栋18、19世纪英式、法式、西班牙式等各式别墅，散落在山坡、海边旳绿树丛中，幽静别致，让人十分旳欣羡，难怪说鼓浪屿聚集着万国建筑风貌，享有世界建筑博物馆之美誉，。向岛旳东南面看去，民族英雄郑成功旳巨形石雕高耸着，庄重威武，望着台湾诸岛！再看日光岩旳西面，森林被一张大网高高旳覆盖着，那里是有名旳百鸟园，站在日光岩极顶就能听见那些鸟儿旳歌唱！

走下日光岩，在“晃岩路”上绕着日光岩欣赏着近处旳景色，真是一处一景。

一大早，我和爸妈一起踏上了开往厦门的动车。由于第一次乘动车，感觉里面的一切都很新奇。还散发着一股迷人的香味，显得格外舒适。

On the second day, I want to go to see my grandparents with my parents, because they live in a beautiful country where there are many kinds of flowers and clean air, and I like them very much. On the last day, I want to play basketball with my friends, thats my favorite sport.

I hope to have a good time in this holiday.

伴着人们幸福的欢笑声，孩子们玩放爆竹时的喜悦之情，我们全家有幸地踏上了游赏厦门之路，并且还坐游轮参观了著名的鼓浪屿海岛。

随着四五个小时的时间，我们终于到达了目的地——厦门。一下动车便感受到了那迎面扑来的海风，柔柔的，轻轻的从你的心灵穿过，抚摸着你的心，使长时间坐车而造成的疲劳感一下子便消失得无影无踪。这里的气候也与缙云的截然不同，她的温度不像缙云那般寒冷，也不像海南那样炎热无比，而是不冷也不热的，十分适合人们居住与生活。

到了市区里面，我们看到了两个高耸入云的建筑，经过小姨的讲解，我才知道那是用来观看整个厦门的样子的。从远处看那两座建筑物像两把巨大的刀直插云霄（因为他们的上面部分是弯的，像刀的顶端）。我们下了车，从近距离观察这两座建筑物，他们由许多玻璃组成，在阳光的照耀下发出耀眼的光芒，使经过这里的行人都停下脚步驻足痴望。

虽然我们还去过很多美丽又漂亮的地方但最让人回忆和怀念的要数鼓浪屿了。

鼓浪屿海岛从外观上好像一只鳄鱼，他是一个独立的小岛，没有桥，只能通过船上岛。我们漫步在岛上的路上，话说我们都在岛上了，还不如换个行走方式吧，于是我们租了一辆观光车，开始了一天的岛上旅游。

岛上绿树葱郁，花儿都竞相开放，树上的鸟儿也唱起了优美的歌曲，这委婉的歌声混合着人们的欢笑声变成了一首轻快的欢迎曲，似乎在欢迎着我们的到来。

晚上的鼓浪屿也很美，整个岛上灯火通明，街上的灯，商店的灯，树上的灯笼都散发出了迷人的光芒，形成了一幅夜晚灯光图，真是美极了！

希望下次还能来游玩厦门，欣赏她的美丽！

Are professional success and a fulfilling personal life mutually exclusive? Probably not, although it is more difficult today to achieve both.

Undeniably, todays professionals must work long hours to keep their heads above water, let alone to get ahead in life financially. This is especially true in Japan, where cost of living, coupled with corporate culture, compel professional males to all but abandon their families and literally to work themselves to death. While the situation here in the states may not be as critical, the two-income family is now the norm, not by choice but by necessity.

However, our societys professionals are taking steps to remedy the problem. First, they are inventing ways such as job sharing and telecommuting to ensure that personal life does not take a back seat to career. Second, they are setting priorities and living those hours outside the workplace to their fullest. In fact, professional success usually requires the same time-management skills that are useful to find time for family, hobbies, and recreation. One need only look at the recent American presidents-Clinton, Bush, Reagan and Carter- to see that it is possible to lead a balanced life which includes time for family, hobbies, and recreation, while immersed in a busy and successful career. Third, more professionals are changing careers to ones which allow for some degree of personal fulfillment and self-actualization. Besides, many professionals truly love their work and would do it without compensation, as a hobby. For them, professional and personal fulfillments are one and the same.

那天在机场的大厅里，一群人聚在了一起，说是缘，不如说是一次长长的邂逅。互相打量着，空气中依旧存在陌生人间的芥蒂。虽然立刻便有说有笑，但是从未想过六天之后会依依不舍。

飞机上的玩笑与打闹，一张张憧憬的脸聚在飞机的舷窗旁，笑声充斥在机舱里，传到那座繁华的城。喜欢上了这群没有拘束的同伴。跟着带队学姐，踏进这座神秘的象牙塔，一种预感一闪而过，这将是一次不一样的旅途。

厦门大学的建筑有一种复古的风格，尖尖的屋顶下是红棕色的墙，几栋大楼围绕着芙蓉湖，湖边参天的树下是那条充满诗意的林荫道。我们惊讶于厦大的古朴典雅，更是兴奋于五天后的闭营晚会。还没有开始便期待结尾，这也算是一件笑话吧。也许是因为喜爱浮夸的服饰和闪亮的灯光，我从小便对舞台有异常的喜爱，一直希望穿上水晶鞋在12点钟声前舞蹈，从童话中走出。这次，倒是个特别的机会。

于是死皮赖脸地推荐自己喜欢的歌。也是一种缘分吧，张杰的《天下》我只听过两遍，但是深深的喜欢这首歌的气场。偏执有时候是一种错误，但我确定，这次不是。在我的不要脸下，其他组员妥协了。又是一系列的自以为是的强势，我又阴差阳错地被默认成了导演。可笑的是，连我自己都丢失了自知之明，在群里安排任务，也不知道这对于其他人来说是不是一个笑话，但强烈地想让我们组的节目惊艳全场，也不知道这是自私还是无私。组员能力都很强，共同出了一个又一个的点子。在这么些高智商的人中占有一席之地，也算是一种小幸运吧。

开始紧张的排列，女生们晚上一起聚在宿舍分词，学姐来查房的时候被欢乐的氛围感染了，也是笑嘻嘻的。星空下那个开着暖黄灯光的房间，那柔美的歌声，不知道是否会永远定格在记忆里。

因为在这个刚好的时间，我刚好遇见你们，所以有了这段刚好的回忆，造就了刚好的我们。

自习楼大厅没有开空调，大汗淋漓，这里是我们永远的舞台。旋律飘荡，我们都投入了自己的真情。观众不多，就是那堵墙和墙下的带队老师不厌其烦地在鼓掌，幼稚地似个孩子。走位的设计是我临时的安排，人生充满了冗杂的琐事，临时便成了最好的创意。我喊着你们的名字，不听话的男生们啊，你可知道我却永远记住了我吼声下你们的调皮。饿着肚子，非要排好这一遍才吃饭，跟着你们，我似乎找回了以前丢失的执着。

那天晚上临时决定中间插入一段海草舞，女生紧张而卖力地学习着。抬脚，扭腰，甩手，左左右右，跟着节奏忘我地舞动着。长发因为汗水而黏在脸上，脸颊上的潮红泛着朝气，酸痛和劳累被执着忘记，我们坚持着，投入着，表情是前所未有的坚定和幸福。甚至后来深夜还在洗面器前的镜子前温习，甚至后来演出前还在后台的厕所里练习。也许将来会忘记所有的动作，但是忘不了满身的汗水，忘不了互相的团结。那天晚上男生虽然设计完陪衬动作后无聊地打着牌，却也一直不忘记关心和鼓励我们，可能就是骨子里的团结和上进精神造就了我们。

所以，对于你们，我甘之若饴。

你们开玩笑，永远都不想再听到《天下》和海草舞伴奏了，怪我拉你们下水，我知道，因为你们一遍又遍不厌其烦地重复练习，因为你们认真了，因为你们认真的样子很美。

Its the third Sunday in June again, and its the holiday Ive been looking

forward to for a long time - Fathers Day.

"Mom, what do you want to give grandpa?" I asked my mother, resting my chin

on my hand. After thinking for a moment, Mom said, "Fruit basket!" "Mom, help me

think about what should I give Dad?" "Lets go to the boutique and have a

look."

So, we went to the boutique, and we picked left and right, carefully

selected, and we all felt that these gifts were not very good. "Ah, Dad is a

dog, so give him a puppy!" I suddenly had such an idea.

We walked over to the plastic and found a lifelike puppy which was very

interesting. Furry hair, piercing eyes, and a smiling face make people like him

more and more. I thought to myself: This puppy is cute, thats all.

I bought it, asked the waiter to pack it, and went home happily. When I got

home, I wrote a blessing on a piece of paper and put it by the bed with the

gift.

I discussed it with my mother and came up with a terrifying plan: We hid in

the place where Dad must pass when he entered the room, and when Dad came in, we

would scare him. So we quickly hid. "Dong dong dong..." "Dad is here!" Grandma

stepped forward to open the door, when Dad walked past us. "Wow," we jumped out.

"Ah, scared me to death!" Dad was shaking. A dignified man was frightened by

us, haha! "Mum sneered at Dad.

When Dad walked into the room and found the gift, his eyes were wide open,
