一年一次的暑假来临了，今年的暑假我要同妈妈及妈妈同事决定前往厦门聚会和游玩。这让我很是期待……

大嶝岛，小嶝岛，这是什么地方？你可知？烽火硝烟的时代，这里可是备受瞩目，那里成就了多少战地英雄，曾几何时，人说“不到长城非好汉，不到三岛非英雄”。

1958年的“八·二三”炮战中被国务院、中央军委授予“英雄三岛”称号的就是指大嶝岛，小嶝岛，还有一个是角屿。现在这三个岛都隶属厦门翔安区大嶝镇。大嶝岛与小嶝岛隔海毗邻，距离金门最近的距离只有1800米，与金门隔海相望，鸡犬相闻。

到达厦门第二天我们一行6人早早就起来了，在湖里下忠位置决定搭公交车去，全程2块钱一个人。妈妈告诉我说要经过一条很有名气的叫“翔安隧道”，2010年刚刚修好，全长8。695公里，这是中国大陆第一条海底隧道，有了这条隧道，从厦门岛到对岸的大陆端，比原来整整节省了82分钟。没有翔安隧道去大嶝就没那么容易了。

这翔安就是岛外了。又走了一段路，就到了大嶝，整个行程大约用了一个多小时，说笑间觉得好快哦，一路按着标示来到大嶝小镇对台小商品贸易市场，这对台贸易小商品市场也是名气很大，这是全国唯一的一个，有许多免税的台湾商品，物美价廉，值得去看看。

我们边走边逛，什么也看不够，什么也都稀奇，转眼间，不一会功夫就看到大家各自拎二个大袋子，真是满载而归。这边主要还都是吃的，小食品。市场太大，我们也只能走马观花，那条干净整洁的台湾小吃街又吸引了我们，现做的车轮饼看着好诱人……吃饱喝足后于是决定先去环岛游，消耗一下肚里的美食，我们搭上电瓶车，师傅兼导游绕岛转一圈，风狮爷、百年有灵性的大榕树、战地观光园、大喇叭……好多的景点，尽收眼底……没时间一一细玩，只能算走马观花。看个大概。尤其战地观光园，有个世界最大的喇叭，还有一些炮战的武器，在那里要逛的话，至少要大半天，里面内容还是挺多的。

那棵大榕树非常特别，年岁虽然也过百年，但在大嶝岛，过百年的榕树并不少，但这棵却是最“神秘”的一棵，它不仅独木成林，而且还有诡异的传说，村民曾经一度不敢靠近，后来村民在这集资建了一座叫“回归堂”的庙，这棵大榕树和庙一起接受村民的香火，慢慢地，这棵树逐渐成了村民们心目中的“许愿林”。

看着这“红布飘飘”的许愿林，实际却是一棵大榕树，令我们十分震撼，怎么形容那树冠之大呢，主干3、4个人都不能和拢，巨大的根须扎入松软的沙土又形成新的树干，彼此相连，众多的树干，庞大的树冠形成当地一大特色，真是独木成林。不禁感动大自然的神奇，世界之大真是无奇不有。我们六人各自合掌虔诚地许下自己的心愿……

走进观光园，可以看到一大批在炮战中立下显赫战功的飞机、大炮、坦克、巡逻艇、战舰及各式其他武器。直径达2。95米的“世界之最”大喇叭前，碉堡、哨所、防护网等军事设施呈现于眼前。当置身园内200多米长的战地坑道之中，四面扫射的激光，轰轰的炮声，震动的摇晃板，滚滚的硝烟，让人仿佛回到炮火连天的战争岁月；

相对小嶝岛，大嶝更繁华些，听说正在建机场，可能不用多久厦门的高崎机场就会搬到这里了，旅游业真是带动一方经济发展哦，相信大嶝小嶝会越来越好，那里的人们也会越来越富裕……

逛了一整天大、小嶝岛里面很是热闹，我们也感受其中，觉得很有趣。夜幕悄悄地降临，带着满满的快乐、满满的记忆踏上了返程……

第一天，我们一大早先来到了福建省唯一一所“985”大学——厦门大学。

进入厦门大学，我们先来到了芙蓉湖，湖边种着几棵树，尤其是那棵落地生根的大榕树，已经有七百多年的历史啦！湖面像一面干净的镜子，湖里居住着两只黑天鹅，它们有时在津津有味地吃东西，有时又好像优雅地在跳圆舞曲，还有的时候在窃窃私语，仿佛有颗爱心正对着我们呢！突然，其中一只黑天鹅发出了一声动听的鸣叫声，过了一会儿，另一只也发出了同样的声音。你听，它们时而高亢激昂，时而委婉深沉，时而欢乐奔放，时而浑厚低沉……接下来，我们又去了情人谷、芙蓉餐厅……

午饭后，我们又坐车轮渡来到了厦门最著名的音乐之城——鼓浪屿。

鼓浪屿之所以不叫鼓浪岛，原因在于它的面积只有1。9平方公里，达不到岛的最低2平方公里标准，所以只能称为“屿”。“鼓浪”两字来源是取“鼓浪石”中的两字。让我们印象最深的是：鼓浪屿上的畲族博物馆，虽然不怎么出名，但却让我流连忘返。畲族的男孩在十岁时就要为自己打银器；另外，畲族的女孩要到结婚的时候，她们的爸爸就会提前五年的时间给她绣嫁衣，所以，中国有句民谣：世上只有妈妈好，可畲族的爸爸也很好。

第二天一早我们又驱车经过了蜿蜒曲折的山路来到了厦门附近的永定土楼，有侨福楼，承启楼，五福楼……其中最有名的要数土楼王——承启楼，又名天助楼，据说在造土楼的时候，五十多天没有下雨，所以老百姓们又叫它为天助楼，顾名思义，老天神助。天助楼建于明朝，有300多年的历史，一共有4层楼，它墙厚最厚可达1。8米，越高越薄，每往上一层就减少20厘米，所以最高一层只有1。2米厚，而土楼的最下面一层是由石块和泥土堆砌而成，和其它三层楼不同的是它没有窗户，据说是为了抵御当时的强盗，小偷和野兽。有个传说当时有个小偷进去偷东西三天三夜没有逃出来，可想而知土楼王的防御能力有多强了。土楼的结构很奇怪，从外到里4圈围绕而成，第一圈是用作厨房做饭之用，第二圈是储存粮食，第三圈用来接待客人，第四圈是用来做红白喜事的地方。

我们在回厦门的路上，还顺便参观了另外一个景点——云水谣，风景很美，就是我们时间来不及了，没有细细欣赏就回去了。

接下来我们又进了“创造”展区，这里有各种机械设备展示着人类的智慧。我发现一个“神奇小屋”。小屋的地面是斜的，我想往坡顶上走，却非常的费劲。爸爸告诉我这是地球引力在作怪。我还玩了一个镜子迷宫，进去之前给每个人发了一根泡沫管子，是让你探测哪边没有镜子，免得撞伤。一进去，四面八方都是自己，都不知道该往哪走，弄得我晕头转向。

最后我们到了“海洋”展区，我了解了有关神秘海洋的知识。

一个下午的时间很快过去了，科技馆就要下班了，我还没有玩够，只能依依不舍地离开了。我想：科学就是力量，知识改变命运。今后一定要好好学习科学知识。

今天是解放军叔叔的节日，也是我在暑假中最快乐的日子。因为这天我全家人畅游了厦门。

来到厦门旅行，海上看金门是必不可少的。天刚蒙蒙亮，我们便出发了。到了渡口只见人山人海。我们费了九牛二虎之力才买到船票。坐上渡轮，我遥望着一望无际的大海真是心旷神怡。海水在阳光照耀下波光闪闪，无比灿烂。我们边欣赏美景边听导游讲解。导游阿姨的声音娓娓传来：“在鼓浪屿不仅是居民居住场所，而且还有外国的领事馆，除此以外，鼓浪屿这小岛还有很多的钢琴家，所以又名钢琴之岛。说到金门它是在福建省东南部海域与厦门湾内，屹立于台湾海峡西部……”导游讲完后，我便认真地观看起外面景物。突然一座大雕像屹立在我前方的远处。还没等我发问，导游阿姨就说：“那就是民族英雄郑成功”。她又说：“这座雕像是19世纪最完整体积最大的”。我心里不由一震。不久，我隐隐约约看见几个大字：“三民主义统一中国”。我疑惑不解，便问导游阿姨：“阿姨，三民主义是什么意思呀”？导游阿姨说：“三民主义中的三民就是指民主、民生、民权”。我总算明白了，为自己又学到一点历史知识而高兴！

很快，我们又来到第二个景点：鼓浪屿。我们先来到“海底世界”。在这里的鱼有三百五十多种。在海底有一条“海底隧道”。走上这条隧道，便可以看见大大小小的鱼，还有巨鲨。走出“海底世界”，我们不过一会儿就可以看到一些别墅和领事馆。走在羊肠小道上，我抬头往上看，眼前一片花团锦簇，这般景色真有点像我们课文《自己的花是让别人看的》说的德国的风光了。呼吸着新鲜空气，我们不知不觉又来到了“海天堂构”。这个院子有三个宅子，右边的宅子是看戏的，左边的宅子是个咖啡馆，最中间的房子重檐斗拱，飞檐翘角。前后两侧的楼宇，采用古希腊式，窗饰大都为西洋风格。除此之外，此楼还有个地下室。地下室里摆放着一台桌子，上面有“状元”、“举人”等几种人物，听说你摇的骰子跟人物的相符，那你就能在学习上取得同样的成绩。很快，天色已近黄昏，我们只好恋恋不舍地踏上了归途。

啊！厦门之旅使我的暑假生活更加多姿多彩；厦门之旅让我增长了见识，厦门之旅在我的童年里留下深刻的回忆！

Ocean marine pollution is from domestic sewage and municipal refuses. When the pesticides went into the marine ecosystem, they quickly become absorbed into marine food webs. Once in the food webs, these pesticides can cause mutations, as well as diseases, which can be harmful to humans as well as the entire food web.

About 60 percent of cities are polluted in China. The rubbishes are everywhere. And the air pollution is also very serious. Exhaust fumes, household garbage and industrial refuse all can make our city dirty. So, don’t spitting ,don’t litter, don’t graffiti on the wall!Forest

The forests are being destroyed now. Acid rain, big fire and saws always break the forests unfeelingly, so, they are in danger . The number of forests are becoming less and less. Let’s plant trees and protect the forests together!River

There are many things in the river, like newspaper , oil, chemicals and heavy metal. If we drink the water that’s from the polluted river, we will get sick or die. And the plants which is near this river will die. So, don’t sewage effluent into the river!

自从我们离开了南普陀以后，就去厦门大学参观。厦门大学很大很大，里面的人很多很多。我们先看了芙蓉湖，这座湖很宽，有二百四十米至二百六十米，也很长，有二百六十米至二百八十米，而且还有很多人在那里照相呢！然后看教室，我数了数里面的椅子，发现是20*2=40把椅子，有的是15*2=30把椅子。再去看学校发展变化展览，我发现了厦门大学建于一九二三年，那时的房子还很古老，然后一步一步的进展，才有今天的厦门大学。

最后，我们去了胡里山炮台。那里的海都一望无际了，还有很多的船和快艇，海面上有很多石头，中间的海水很清，而边上的海水很黄，妈妈曾经对我说过，海水是咸的，人不能喝，因为海里面有很多细菌，海有一个特点，就是湖流动的时候很平静，海流动的时候不平静，都是因为波浪引起的，除了这些，我们还在海浪退下时捡到了一些贝壳，一起检了十几个贝壳，这时已经是中午了，我们才回去。

以后，我长大了，我有时间还要去厦门玩。

厦门位于我国的东南沿海，与宝岛台湾隔相望。那里风景优美，气候宜人，是一个令人流连忘返的好地方。

小朋友最喜欢去那充满阳光的鼓浪屿、沙滩。沙滩上有许多贝壳，有的像小喇叭，有的像蜗牛壳，有的像扇子……，贝壳的颜色五彩缤纷，有的粉红、有的橙黄、有的浅绿……，真是千奇百怪，色彩斑斓。

鼓浪屿的大榕树也很有趣，高大的树冠像一顶大伞，而榕树的须根像老爷爷的长胡子，又像小姑娘的长头发。我不禁被神奇的树吸引了。

到厦门，人们能够品尝到各种各样的海鲜，有爆炒龙虾、红烧扇贝、清蒸黄鱼、铁板生蚝……各种海鲜，应有尽有，游客们可以大饱口福。厦门真不愧为“海鲜的天堂”。

厦门真美啊！我真希望还能再到厦门玩。

It has been a long time since I wrote the last letter. Nowdays, people write letters less and less, instead, they make a call or send a SMS. However, it is still a good way for us to communicate with each other by sending a letter.

Its my honour to get the chance to write to you. "Approachable" is my first impression of you, because you always keeps smiling. Students may fear the teachers that are serious both in and out of class. Smile makes a teacher popular with his students, you are a teacher of this very kind.

You always arrive at the classroom ahead of any of the students, from which we could imply that you are a diligent man with regular habit. Before the class, you like to talk to us, at this very time, you are more a friend than a teacher. To be honest, I was surprised in the first class when I learned a teacher at your age could speak English in such a fluent way.(I didnt mean you are old, youre young at heart.) Moreover, you know well how to keep your class attractive. Youve got such an active mind that you can keep talking during the whole class without a pause. I always appreciated your ideas and enjoyed listening to you. In your class, I learned not only the writing skills but also the presentation skills as well as much knowledge of other areas. Thanks for your excellent teaching.

Ive got some suggestions for you. It seems that we students have got few chances to participate in discussion during the class time. Most of the time, we are listening. Seldom did we express our own ideas. I suggest that teachers should interact with students more frequently in the class. Besides, Id like to practice writing more, so would you please leave us more assignments?

三八节的时候，我与妈妈与她的同事一起去厦门旅游。那是个电力之城，而且景点多如繁星，一想起这些，我就非常兴奋。

午饭后，我们约坐了九个小时的车程，已经是晚上十一点多了，终于到达了厦门，一座灯火通明的不夜城出现在前方。首先映入我眼帘的是跨海大桥，桥上灯火辉煌，在灯光的照耀下，跨海大桥像一条金色的苍龙横跨在海面上。这是海上的交通要道，没有了它与船，厦门几乎是一座死岛。

第二天早饭后，我们跟着导游来到了胡里山炮台。胡里山炮台是海防要塞，成千上万的大炮摆在那里，显得格外威严。然而，最吸引我的是德克博虎大炮。这大炮有一百多吨重，身长二十九米，单炮杆就有二十米长。据说一炮可打二十公里远，就连飞机与航母它都不放在眼里。这门炮是海防的核心力量，当年它是够威风的，曾打得敌军闻风丧胆。

接着，我们来到了集美。说到集美，就不得不去看陈嘉庚纪念馆。陈嘉庚是一位名人，纪念馆里陈列着他的遗物，里面有他穿过的旧靴、打过补丁的衣服、逢补过的雨伞，还有他与他兴办的学校师生的留影……这不禁让我想到了陈嘉庚的节省、为国家着想的心。我下定决心，在我长大后，一定也要像陈嘉庚那样做一个爱国的人。

午饭后，我们坐船来到了鼓浪屿。因为这里不准开机动车，所以没有废气，没有噪音，空气非常新鲜，是修身养性的好地方。这里的人一般能活到一百岁，最高龄的超过一百一十岁。

游了一天，我们都累坏了，早早就睡下了。

一觉醒来，又劲头十足了，匆忙地吃完早餐，我们来到了郑成功纪念馆。这里的建筑高耸雄伟，中间还立有郑成功本人的铜像，威风凛凛，尽显英雄本色。旁边设有两台资料查询机，游客可以从那里看到郑成功一生的资料与一些古代战争器械。再往里一点，有古代航海展、战火壁纸……我看得正起劲，听到导游提起日光岩。日光岩是什么？是一块石头吗？还是被阳光晒着的石头呢？我迫不及待地想知道。这时，导游大声喧布：“下一站，日光岩！”

啊，终于能解开这个谜了！原来，日光岩是郑成功当年练水兵的地方。这里有天然巨石与环球般的视野。这不禁让我想到了当年郑成功在此督练水兵的浩大气势与他威风凛凛的英雄形像。是这些所向无敌的水兵战士，经过浴血奋战，才保住了这片热土。想到这些，我不禁肃然起敬。

当我还陶醉在郑成功的英雄故事里的时候，可导游说要走了。我依依不舍地回头看了看，告别了老英雄。之后，我们还游历了大悲殿、白虎堂……品尝了当地的许多特产，真是美不胜收。

紧张而又快乐的两天半过去了，我们将乘车返回连平，告别美丽的厦门岛，我多么想再停留一会儿啊！

昨天，我们去厦门旅游了，厦门的景色很美，我都有些留恋忘返了。

厦门的景色虽美，但我更喜爱海边的沙滩，光着脚站在沙滩上，踩在软软的沙子上很舒服，海水冲上来漫过我的小脚，有些冰凉。我还堆了一个大大的“城堡”，捡了很多小贝壳，妈妈帮我捡到了一个十分漂亮的小海锣，白白的、小小的很可爱，我很喜爱，它的样子是独一无二的，不过有贝壳的沙滩脚踩上去就有些痛不那么舒服了。站在沙滩上往远处看，海水蓝蓝的一眼看不到边，海面上有很多大大小小的船在行驶，海水还把一些小海草冲到了岸边，我第一次尝到了咸咸的海水的味道。

厦门真美，我还想再去玩，还想永远住在那儿。

How to learn English well

English is important and useful to us. How can we learn it well? Here are

my suggestions.

First, we should often listen to the tapes, English songs and programs.

Watching English movies is also helpful to us. Second, we should speak English

in class as much as possible. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. The more you

speak, the fewer mistakes you’ll make. Wed better join the English club and

practice with others. Third, we can read more English newspapers and magazines.

It’s good for us. At last, we should recite some good passages and keep

diaries.

In a word, as long as we do more listening, speaking, reading and writing,

we will learn English well.
