8月8日，我们坐飞机来到厦门，开始了我们的厦门之旅。

8月9日上午 ，我们去了著名的胡里山炮台。听说山上有一门克虏伯大炮，是目前世界上保存最完整的一门大炮。爬上山，我果然看见了一门雄壮威武的大炮。它有一根又长又粗的炮管，炮口的大小足足可以塞下一个人呢！顺着炮管看下去，下面有一个巨大的发动机和几个座位。最先进的是，它的底座是由四个轮子组成的，可以让大炮从不同的角度袭击敌人。

7月下旬，我和老爸等一行四人一起坐着“和谐号”动车出发，开始了我盼望已久的厦门之旅。海浪之旅第一天，我们一起来到胡里山炮台景区下面的海滩边玩耍，海浪像一群顽皮的娃娃，让我想起了语文书上学过的课文“看浪花”。

上岛后，我们来到了闻名中外的日光岩，听旁边的导游介绍，不到日光岩，就等于没有到厦门。

我心想：“既然这么说，那一定很高、很好玩的吧！我的马上去才行。”最后，我用了九牛二虎之力终于爬山了日光岩。“哇！好漂亮啊！”我感叹道。站在日光岩上，看到了一片大海、一座座小山、长长的立交桥、高楼大厦和树林等，就像一幅美丽的画！下来后，我们坐缆车去参观了百鸟园，那里有很多各种各样的鸟，我最喜欢凤凰式鹦鹉。另外，我们还参观了皓月园、菽庄花园、钢琴博物馆、国际刻字艺术馆、风琴博物馆等，其中菽庄花园位列厦门名园之首，皓月园为郑成功挥师东渡、临海誓师之地，风琴博物馆位于鼓浪屿地标性建筑八卦楼内，展现了千年乐器之王的无穷魅力。这次厦门之旅让我既快乐又难忘。

今天，我和妈妈一早就去了香山公园，准备去爬山。刚开始我迫不及待地向上爬，精神劲十足。

爬了一会儿，天气很热，出了很多汗，我觉得有点累了，就对妈妈说:“妈妈，我们往回走吧!”妈妈语重心长地说:“不要半途而废，妈妈跟你一起往上爬，鼓起勇气，相信自己一定能行。”听了妈妈的话，我又继续向上爬。路上我们经过了香山峰，累了就休息会，终于爬到了鬼见愁，下山的路上，我们看见许多可爱的小松鼠，它们的大尾巴一摇一摆，好像在跟我们打招呼呢!我很舍不得他们，最后还是留恋的离开了。

因为在出发前爸爸就在网上把厦门的著名小吃包括地址都收集了。所以，我们几乎把厦门所有的特色小吃都吃遍了。

厦门更象是一个热闹的小城市，大的饭店酒店很少，街道两侧到处都是特色小吃，我们就一家挨一家的吃着不同的口味。其中西门土笋冻，峒屿鸭肉粥，劳山扁食，小眼睛海鲜大排挡最好吃！噢！我想起来了，我的最爱实际是鱼丸！我想我应该再多吃点！

"土笋冻"很好吃，筋筋的象果冻一样的感觉。可是你知道"土笋冻"是什么做的吗？后来我知道也看到它里面原来放的是海沙虫，就再也不想吃了。

劳山扁食听上去很奇怪的名字，看到的时候才知道，就是我们经常吃的云吞。哈哈！很好玩吧！

Chinese New Year or Spring Festival  the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It  sometimes called the "Lunar New Year" by Englh speakers. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month (Chinese: 正月; pinyin: zhēng yuè) in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; th day  called Lantern Festival. Outside of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, Chinese New Year  also celebrated in countries with significant Han Chinese populations, such as Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. In countries such as Australia, Canada and the United States, although Chinese New Year  not an official holiday, many ethnic Chinese hold large celebrations and Australia Post, Canada Post, and the US Postal Service sues New Years themed stamps.

Within China, regional customs and traditions concerning the celebration of the Chinese new year vary widely. People will pour out their money to buy presents, decoration, material, food, and clothing. It  also the tradition that every family thoroughly cleans the house to sweep away any ill-fortune in hopes to make way for good incoming luck. Windows and doors will be decorated with red colour paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of “happiness”, “wealth”, and “longevity”. On the Eve of Chinese New Year, supper  a feast with families. Food will include such items as pigs, ducks, chicken and sweet delicacies. The family will end the night with firecrackers. Early the next morning, children will greet their parents by whing them a healthy and happy new year, and receive money in red paper envelopes. The Chinese New Year tradition  a great way to reconcile forgetting all grudges, and sincerely wh peace and happiness for everyone.

Although the Chinese calendar traditionally does not use continuously numbered years, outside China its years are often numbered from the reign of Huangdi. But at least three different years numbered 1 are now used by various scholars, making the year 2009 "Chinese Year" 4707, 4706, or 4646.

请假条(written request for leave)是英语学习者必须掌握的常用应用文之一，它包括请病假(note for sick leave)和请事假(leave of absence)。请假条是用于向老师或上级领导等因身体状况不好或因某事请求准假的场合。

英文请假条写作需注意三点：

1.英文中请假条的写法和汉语请假条相同， 它一般由四部分组成，即时间、称呼、正文和签名。

2.一般而言，可认定请假条是一种简单的书信文体。请假条一般写在纸上，不用信封。其书写格式与书信有很多相似之处，是书信的大大简化。
