要我说还是薛宝钗和贾宝玉更加相配，薛宝钗要容貌有容貌撑得起一个家族的面貌，足够有当家奶奶的气场，且也懂得如何与人相处，不像林黛玉一样处处敏感，总觉得别人话中有话，最终因为这多感的心而劳累了身体，最终香消玉殒。薛宝钗容貌，性格，气质，对贾宝玉的关心都足以为她赢得当家少奶奶的头衔，然而就因为当时社会的以夫为天的封建思想，使得她如此一位有才气，集美貌与智慧与一身的女子败在了一纸休书上。从此一蹶不振，再也没能起来，只能郁郁寡欢，最终也落得个不太美满的结局。

而贾宝玉呢，他辜负了一个女子的一生，又毁了另一位女子的一辈子，最终也只是考的状元却最终落得个皈依佛门的终局，正如曹雪芹自身在文章的开头便写到的那些伏笔一般，一个似水中月，一个是镜中花，最终分散两地，全是虚幻，也全是泡影。

小说中主人公的不幸结局也暗含着作者的落魄和不幸的人生，原是豪门的曹雪芹却因正值革命时期而没能当上状元，也没能在官场上有所大出息，小说中贾宝玉的前半辈子幸福的人生可能就是作者的过去吧，也只能说由简入奢易，由奢入简难，落魄了的作者其实内心深处还是在深深眷念着过去纸醉金迷的繁奢的生活吧，而贾宝玉之后所经历的贾府落魄，也正是作者生活开始衰败的投影吧。

可能也正是由于作者生前经历过的真实生活的巨变，贫富的差异，生活的不顺心，使得他最终从过去那种腐烂，颓败的生活中看到了社会的阴暗面和隐藏在社会深处的黑暗气息。人心的异变与自身身份的改变给了曹雪芹一个蜕变的机会，正是因为他亲身经历过了奢靡的生活，他才通晓那些大家族里的规矩和方寸，也明白那些复杂的人心和大宅里的勾心斗角吧，结合了自身的人生经验，曹雪芹使得《红楼梦》中那些人物生活都活了起来，那些人物的言语，行为，动作，仿佛跃然纸上。

不见其人先闻其声的王熙凤，树下悲歌葬花的林黛玉，说出男女是泥和水的贾宝玉，有那通身气派的老祖母，一个个人物在小说中活出了他们精彩的一生，不可谓曹雪芹以示面面俱到了，还有众人那影藏了一生悲欢离合的人物诗，和那一出出暗含的玄机，直令看的人觉得内心痛快。

但在阅读书中人物的一生时也不禁引起我们对于当今社会的反思，那时候的封建社会的坏习性和不良风气是否延续到了今日那时候的父母之命，媒妁之言，男女社会地位的不平等是否在今日仍然出此刻了当今的社会主义社会当中，那时的对百姓的迫害，大家族对百姓的欺压，法律对贵族的庇护是否在今日还活在社会那个阴暗的角落我们需要反思的东西实在是太多太多了，这并不只是一个人的思考，也不是一群人的深思，而是一个国家乃至一个世界全体人民的深深自我反省与自我监督。
