Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. “离考试结束还有15分钟……”化学考试时老师的提醒似乎来得太仓促，我的笔突然停止在密密麻麻的化学方程式上，那一刻，我慌得不知所措。猛地抬起头，望着窗外的蓝天，想起军训时光，想起老班老在耳边唠叨的真理，开始怀疑自己是不是在做梦？

记得初一刚入学的时候，我们每个人穿着松松垮垮的校服，脸上都带着一丝稚嫩与天真，怀揣几分向往与梦想，走进了道滘中学。初二那年，我们去军训，每个人都晒成了一脸的黝黑，面对教官严厉的呵斥，除了服从，还带有些许的不满。那时，我们第一次感觉到了离家的感受，父母不在身边的惶惑无助，也第一次感觉到了当自己面对生活时，才发现自己的诸多不足。

但成长让人恍惚，就像匆忙的时间偷偷地滑过你笔尖的化学方程式，偷偷地穿过你嘴里含糊不清的英语单词。转眼之间，我们就已初三毕业

我无法忘记那些一起玩乐的同学，无法忘记我们在一起的那些欢声笑语。阿标，我最好的朋友，记得我们同桌的那些日子，我们一起玩，一起笑，一起发着牢骚。我觉得那一段日子是最开心的了，每当我上课不认真，你就会怪声怪气的提醒我：“同学，你在干什么。”还有，取完成绩那天下午，我和你还有世豪，一起去喝糖水，一听到我请客，你马上就说：“老板，再来3碗牛腩面。”这不是存心想让我破产嘛！可最后，还不是你付的钱。若说我俩的乐趣，恐怕一日一夜都说不完呢。除了炯标，还有那几个总形影不离的朋友，我不知道我们怎么就这么无声无息地面临离别了。那年夏天，我们奔跑着过了7月，过了9月，过了12个季节，最后奔跑着分开。今年夏天，我们依然相信，不管天南地北，情谊永不忘。

再就是老师。从古至今，人们对老师其实有着很高的赞誉。我对我的老师还是满怀着感激之情。虽然现在毕业，但以前和老师们一起笑过，哭过的那些日子却好似近在眼前，是那样的清晰。因为老师们总是向学生索取的少，而付出的多。三年之后的今天，我坐在窗前，回望我踏下的成长的脚印，无不充满了自信和阳光。这一刻，我心中空空如焉，除了"感激"二字。真的，我从心底里感谢教过我的老师。也许，岁月能模糊我脑海中他们的影像，而他们的崇高身影在我的脑海里永远不会磨灭。

We were sitting in the classroom quietly, waiting for the invigilator. We

were anxious to get the examination paper and see whether it was easy or

difficult.

The invigilator came into the classroom. He first looked around.

Then he counted the papers. We could only hear the papersfricative. I had a

What is the most important thing in the world? I think it is health.You can

take away our money, house, car, or even our clothes and we can survive. But if

our health was taken away, we would surely die. That is why we always try to eat

in a healthy way and exercise regularly.

In order to eat healthily, I usually avoid eating food high in fat, like

french fries or cookies. I also eat little meat. I eat a lot of vegetables and

fresh fruit which are full of vitamins. Taking exercise every day helps us build

a strong body. Regular exercise is an important part of keeping me healthy.

By eating properly and exercising regularly, I can keep my body at a proper
