I am pleased to serve as your guide today。

This is the palace museum; also know as the Purple Forbidden City。 It is the largest and most well reserved imperial residence in China today。 Under Ming Emperor Yongle， construction began in 1406。 It took 14years to build the Forbidden City。 The first ruler who actually lived here was Ming Emperor Zhudi。 For five centuries thereafter， it continued to be the residence of23 successive emperors until 1911 when Qing Emperor Puyi was forced to abdicate the throne。 In 1987， the United Nations Educational， Scientific and Cultural Organization recognized the Forbidden City was a world cultural legacy。

It is believed that the Palace Museum， or Zi Jin Cheng (Purple Forbidden City)， got its name from astronomy folklore， The ancient astronomers divided the constellations into groups and centered them around the Ziwei Yuan (North Star) 。 The constellation containing the North Star was called the Constellation of Heavenly God and star itself was called the purple palace。 Because the emperor was supposedly the son of the heavenly gods， his central and dominant position would be further highlighted the use of the word purple in the name of his residence。 In folklore， the term “an eastern purple cloud is drifting” became a metaphor for auspicious events after a purple cloud was seen drifting eastward immediately before the arrival of an ancient philosopher， LaoZi， to the Hanghu Pass。 Here， purple is associated with auspicious developments。 The word jin (forbidden) is self-explanatory as the imperial palace was heavily guarded and off-explanatory as the imperial palace was heavily guarded and off-limits to ordinary people。

The red and yellow used on the palace walls and roofs are also symbolic。 Red represents happiness， good fortune and wealth。 Yellow is the color of the earth on the Loess Plateau， the original home of the Chinese people。 Yellow became an imperial color during the Tang dynasty， when only members of the royal family were allowed to wear it and use it in their architecture。

The Forbidden City is rectangular in shape。 It is 960 meters long from north to south and 750 meter wide from east west。 It has 9，900 rooms under a total roof area 150，000 square meters。 A 52-meter-wide-moat encircles a 9。 9-meter—high wall which encloses the complex。 Octagon —shaped turrets rest on the four corners of the wall。 There are four entrances into the city: the Meridian Gate to the south， the Shenwu Gate (Gate of Military Prowess) to the north， and the Xihua Gate (Gate of military Prowess) to the north， and the Xihua Gate (Western Flowery Gate ) to the west， the Donghua (Eastern Flowery Gate) to the east。

Manpower and materials throughout the country were used to build the Forbidden City。 A total of 230，000 artisans and one million laborers were employed。 Marble was quarried from fangshan Country Mount Pan in Jixian County in Hebei Province。 Granite was quarried in Quyang County in Hebei Province。 Paving blocks were fired in kilns in Suzhou in southern China。 Bricks and scarlet pigmentation used on the palatial walls came from linqing in Shandong Province。 Timber was cut， processed and hauled from the northwestern and southern regions。

放暑假了，妈妈很早就说要带我去厦门旅游。我盼着，盼着，今天爸爸妈妈终于要带我去了。

我心里兴奋极了，一下火车，坐在汽车上看见窗外的厦门到处都是绿化带，就像公园一样漂亮、干净。

接着，我们又去了胡里山炮台。我们到达时，那里正在表演，“嗵”大炮开火了!炮弹像一个巨大的火球向大海发射，壮观极了。我还看了世界上最大的炮，炮口像一个盘子那么大，炮管大约有十几米长，它最远能射到二十千米远，它还击中过日本军舰呢!

第二天清晨，我们一起床就直奔鼓浪屿的日光岩，日光岩是鼓浪屿的最高峰，我们一步一步地向峰顶登去，我终于登上了峰顶，我一下就被峰顶的景色陶醉了，整个鼓浪屿尽收眼底，有古老的建筑，金黄的海滩，真是美极了，还有湛蓝的大海，在海上行驶的船支，都只有手指那么小。整个厦门都引入眼帘，日光岩下的厦门好美，它真是厦门的一颗最亮的明珠。

下午我们又去了海底世界，那里人山人海，我们首先看了海豚，海狮表演它们的动作滑稽可笑，让大家捧腹大笑，接着我们又来到海底隧道，我一眼就看到了只有芝麻大的倒立水母，神仙鱼，刺尾鱼，蝴蝶鱼，它们非常可爱，那里还有抹香鲸的标本，还有巨大的海龟，凶猛的鲨鱼，让我眼花缭乱。海底世界真是太美了。

这就是厦门，一个花园城市，那里的美，那里的海，让我终生难忘。

光阴似箭，日月如梭。一转眼，我已在厦门生活了十二年头了。如今的厦门，已是那样的繁荣富强，交通便捷。

还曾记得，多年前的厦门，道路是那么狭窄。一些小商小贩还在主道上摆起了摊子，这不仅严重影响了市容市貌，还使得原本狭窄的道路显得更加拥挤和零乱。行人们夹在密集的车流中没有一点安全保障，车辆行进的速度也大大减慢了。

今非昔比，如今的厦门，交通已得到良好的改善。

20**年8月31日，厦门快速公交道路(BRT)正式通车了!顾名思义，它给人们带来的最大好处就是：快速。记得以前从轮渡到前埔，坐普通公交车，怎么说也要将近一小时的时间，如同老牛拉破车似的，遇上堵车，不仅浪费了人们的宝贵时间，车子也十分的耗油。。可现在，一坐上BRT，风驰电掣的，不到十五分钟，就已到达目的地，速度整整提高了两到三倍!它的诞生，既缩短了城市的空间距离，也大大提高了人们生活的品质、工作的效益。

就在人们还沉浸在BRT通车的喜悦之中时，杏林湾大桥又给厦门市民们带来了一个巨大的惊喜。杏林湾大桥是厦门最大的跨海大桥，它好似一条长龙横卧在杏林湾，气势宏伟壮观。它也是海峡西岸唯一的一座公铁两用大桥，江主席还亲自为它提过字呢。

还真别说呢，我们家就是杏林湾大桥的受益者之一呢，奶奶家就住在杏林。记得以前每次回杏林，对我来说就是一场恶梦。长时间的颠簸加上不停地堵车，体制较弱的我不是晕车就是反胃，难受极了。自从杏林湾大桥通车后，每每透过车窗玻璃，看着外面飞速退去的杏林大桥，低头凝望那碧波荡漾的海水，感受着没有油味烟尘的清新空气和飞一般的感觉，我只觉得如痴如醉，梦一般的回味无穷啊，回杏林，成了我的最爱!听大人们说，杏林湾大桥的建成通车，对改善厦门进出岛交通，加快岛外开发建设，推动厦门与周边地区的经济社会互动与融合都具有重要意义呢!

Gulangyu is an island separated from Xiamen city proper. Its like a garden on the water. The shade of the trees covers nearly the whole island. Cars, buses, bikes are not allowed to drive there. Everyone should walk. This makes the place very quiet so that music played by the violin or the piano can be heard here and there. It is the famous "Home of Music".

The Sunshine Rock is the highest place on the island, so it has become the symbol of Gulangyu. Standing at the top of the Sunshine Rock, one can see the landscape of the whole Xiamen ands other small islands. The sky and the sea meet on the horizon. Its said that people can see clearly the Jinmen Island through telescope when the sun is shining. There are gentle waves on the sea and lots of people are swimming.At the foot of the Sunshine Rock is Shuzhang Garden with its picturesque scenery. The Forty-four Bridge spans over the water like a white dragon. What a beautiful picture!

暑假期间，我和姥姥、大姨、哥哥一起来到了厦门，首先要去的地方当然是鼓浪屿了。

我们买好了票以后，顺着熙熙攘攘的人群进入了热闹的鼓浪屿码头，宽阔的码头上停靠着各式各样的船，我们登上了一艘轮渡船，船慢慢地开动了，渐渐的快了起来，清凉的海风吹拂着我的脸，几只海鸥在空中自由的飞翔，时而轻抚在海面上，如同蜻蜓点水一般，一排接一排的浪花拍打着海岸，好一幅“惊涛拍岸卷起千堆雪”的美丽画卷！这是我第一次见到大海，忍不住连连赞叹，哇，大海你太壮观了！

不一会，轮渡把我们带到了鼓浪屿主景区，我的心甭提多高兴了，从导游那得知鼓浪屿的来历，古代时人们称鼓浪屿为鼓浪石，后来清朝人将“石”字改为“屿”，从此才称为“鼓浪屿”。 鼓浪屿保留着许多具有中外建筑风格的建筑物，有“万国建筑博览会”之誉，一共有365条道路，错综复杂，像迷宫一样。导游带我们来到一座教堂前，导游说：“这座教堂是西班牙人兴建的，后来由美国人接管，它的身世经过好多的风雨变幻”。教堂是一座红白相间的建筑，它雄伟壮观，是鼓浪屿的一道靓丽风景线。走着走着，我好似听到了隐约的歌声，这时导游告诉我们，鼓浪屿有“钢琴之岛”、“音乐之乡”的美称，“你仔细听，会听到什么？”， 游人安静了，果然我们听到了优雅的钢琴声、轻快的吉他声、悠扬的歌声。接着我们来到了钢琴博物馆，里面陈列着许多著名的钢琴，给我印象最深的是一对三角钢琴，这是一位著名的德国音乐家年轻时曾用的钢琴。接下来，我们来到了日光岩山，这是鼓浪屿的最高点，爬上它可以俯视鼓浪屿全景，导游告诉我们它共有800多台阶呢，我们信心百倍的向着最高点进发了，快到中途的时候，姥姥和大姨累了，便停下来休息，我和哥哥继续前行，一路上可真是挥汗如雨呀，我俩坚持着，互相鼓励着，不一会便爬到了顶峰，此时心里有种胜利的喜悦，眼下的鼓浪屿好美！真是“会当凌顶绝，一览众山小”呀！

厦门的别称是鹭岛，它拥有全国文明城市，海上花园等美誉，世界闻名的“金砖会议”也于今年九月份在美丽的厦门召开了!

厦门的景色美不胜收，令人目不暇接，实实在在的让我着迷。我们乘着出租车，来到了厦门最有名的步行街——中山路步行街。步行街非常繁华，人山人海，小吃应有尽有，让我大饱口福!

厦门可不仅仅因为各式各样的小吃远近闻名，厦门还有很多景点，让旅游的人们趋之若鹜。最著名的要属与厦门相望的岛屿——鼓浪屿。

那里的海滩别有一番“风味”，岛上的居民也非常友好。夜晚，天空的繁星闪烁，月光照亮了整个岛屿，多么宁静，祥和的夜晚啊!让人禁不住想低吟一首如梦如幻的小诗。躺在柔软的沙滩上仰望着夜空中的点点繁星，倾听着海浪的阵阵歌声，仿佛与世隔绝一般的安宁。

厦门的普陀寺也是不得不去的地方。普陀寺始建于唐朝末期，是佛教胜地。那里的美景也是十分地引人入胜。莲花池中，荷叶碧绿，荷花粉红，一朵朵娇滴滴的荷花就如同腼腆的少女一般，而荷叶在经过太阳的暴晒之下，绿油油的带着一股清香浮出水面，蜻蜓在荷花四周飞来飞去，就像诗人杨万里《小池》里描写的：“小荷才露尖尖角，早有蜻蜓立上头”。你看，这就是南海观音菩萨的莲花池。

普陀寺中的普陀庙也是一处独特的风景线。庙中的雕像各种各样，栩栩如生。有地藏王菩萨，有千手观音菩萨，有弥勒佛，有十八罗汉，还有玉皇大帝……各路居士都纷纷来到庙中上香，拜佛，捐香火。

厦门之旅很快就结束了，这里地一切都让我流连忘返。再见了，美丽的厦门，希望我们后会有期!

我们来到我们定好的海景房，我发现，景房和大海只隔着一条环岛路。在房间的阳台上，我能看见沙滩、大海、轮船、灯塔和近在咫尺的厦门。晚上，我们吃完饭，到沙滩上挖沙子。我发现沙子是两种颜色的，一种是浅色的，另一种是颜色深一些的沙子，颜色深一些的沙子，是海水涨潮之后，冲刷着干沙子形成的。

我们开始挖坑，都挖到能埋住我的腿了。这时过来一个叔叔，他没看见，一不小心掉到坑里，他哈哈大笑，他说“小朋友，你们再挖深点，就能把我埋起来了!”海水开始涨潮，把我们挖的深坑都冲毁了，海浪越来越大，离环岛路越来越近，海水都要打到路上了，我们就赶紧回酒店休息了。我在阳台看见，海浪扬的很高，都打到路上了，海的威力真大啊!

厦门鼓屿是一个美丽的小岛。它有巨大的树木与奇怪的岩石，尤其是那让人陶醉的大海。

踏上鼓浪屿，映入眼帘的便是那巨大的榕树。树上的根须垂直地悬在半空中，有些已经长成了树。树上有许多鸟，简直就是鸟的天堂。

走过长满榕树的小道，来到了皓月园。进入皓月园，顺着小路走，旁边是金黄的沙滩和无边无际的海洋。顺着小道上了山路，半山腰上建了观海石桥，从桥上向远望，无尽的海洋上披着一层薄雾，扑入眼帘，让人陶醉。似乎自己就是海洋的一分子。走上山顶，高大的郑成功雕像呈现在眼前。郑成功远望着大海对面的台湾，他是在罹着他曾经收复的宝岛台湾。

走出皓月园，继续沿着小路走，来到鼓浪屿的近代建筑----菽庄花园。这个花园里建有钢琴博物馆和迷宫一般的十二洞天，是一个别有情趣的景致，也适合观海。

出了菽庄花园，穿过一个十字路口，直接往下走，就来到了日光岩，是鼓浪屿最重要的景点。日光岩顶就是鼓浪屿的最高处。走进日光岩景区才发现，日光岩原来是块巨石，大得几乎无法用数学估量。字凹进去的一块让人感到要掉下来似的，给人一种强烈的视觉刺激感，着看总有些不安。石头顶端云雾缭绕，让人想揭开它的神秘面纱。走上日光岩，发现一棵巨大的榕树长在巨石上，几乎是从巨石里生长的。走过几条狭窄的阶梯，就上到了日光岩的顶端。顶端原来是个以前打仗用的堡垒。往下看，整个鼓浪屿的风景尽收眼底：金黄的沙滩，西式的房屋，巨大的榕树，无边的海洋……让人沉浸其中,久久无法自拔。 听说在晴朗的天气，这里可以看到金门马岛的人和建筑。可惜我们去的时候下雨了。

下了日光岩，往左上方走，来到百鸟园。这里到处都是珍贵的鸟类，它们不怕陌生人。五彩的鹦鹉，肥肥的野鸭，高贵的黑天鹅，随处可见。有时候会突然出现在你身边，吓你一跳!

走出百鸟园，回到日光岩，往下走，来到了风琴博物馆。这里充满了艺术的气息。风琴种类奇多，有体态娇小的，有精致的，有全是镜子的，有两旁是蜡烛的…….还能看到最原始的风琴----笙。它是我们的民族乐器。在一些少数民族中的乐器里还能见到它。最吸引人的是放在门口的那架风琴，实在巨大!几乎有三层楼那么高，但看上去更象一辆卡车。

鼓浪屿到处是原始的丛林与巨大的石头，希望你有机会去细细游赏。

鼓浪屿就是厦门一处着名的景点。它有着“钢琴小岛”的美誉，岛上约有钢琴600多台，走在绿树浓阴的小道上，不时会听见幽雅的琴声，时而柔和缓慢，就像涓涓小溪；时而明快激昂，犹如浩瀚的大海拍击着岸边的礁石，真是让人留恋忘返。如果你到了鼓浪屿还一定要到日光岩看看，因为在那里可以通过望远镜看到台湾的大担和小担，可以让你一饱眼福。

鼓浪屿还有一处景点就是百鸟园，百鸟园里的鸟儿看起来很笨，其实它们很聪明，也很可笑。有一次，金刚鹦鹉带它的“小宝宝”逛街，结果走到一半，突然想到吃东西，自己一个飞回去，竟然把婴儿车也扔了，要知道那婴儿车里还躺着它的“小宝宝”呢！逗得我们哈哈大笑！

母亲买了门票，我们就到了海洋馆。一进门，眼前就有一个圆柱体的透明玻璃，里面游来游去的是食人鱼。食人鱼的形状是扁形的，两只眼睛分别长在两边，它的最大的特点是有几颗尖利的牙齿，看它那样子，似乎一不留神就要把你吃了。往后走，有很多种海洋生物：巨瑶、海蜇、珊瑚、海龟、海马……最好看的要数灯笼鱼了，它身上好像装着各种各样颜色的彩灯，两个圆溜溜的眼睛分别长在两侧，它身上的颜色变化多端：一会儿变成紫色，一会儿变成蓝色，一会儿变成绿色。父亲又带我去了“地下海族馆”。厚厚的玻璃做成的拱形通道。玻璃里面有许多鱼：鲨鱼、海龟、乌贼、海星……成群结对从你身边游过，我仿佛置身于海洋之中。

在老师的带领下我们乘上轮渡。我情不自禁地喊：“啊，太美了！”——白云在湛蓝的天空中飘动，海鸥在水面上自油自在地飞翔，好像在欢迎我们的到来。一眨眼工夫我们登上了鼓浪屿。地面上连一张纸屑都没有，难怪被称为：“环保之城“。可见夏门人爱干净！

我们先到海洋馆看海狮表演，只见驯演师让海狮——雅琳娜唱歌，还和她跳舞。呀！原来她能歌善舞，是个善良的小女生。同学们看得津津有味，不时露出惊讶的表情，掌声和欢呼声不断。驯演师真有办法，能让动物们如此听话，使表演精彩绝伦。我们依依不舍地离开海洋馆来到海底世界，其实，海底世界就像一座陆地上的“龙宫”，漂亮极了。人站在房子中间，好像来到海洋中一样。这里的鱼真多呀！“哇！鲨鱼啊！”“海鱼啊！”同学越叫越大声，看来是一山比一山高！鱼儿成群结队地在珊瑚丛中穿来穿去。让我目不暇接。有的周身插着好些扇子，游动时飘飘摇摇；有的张着大嘴巴，像要吃东西似的；有的眼睛圆溜溜的，长满刺儿，鼓起气来像皮球一样圆。瞧！一群吸盘鱼正欢快地向我游来，好像在展示它们的与众不同，让我眼花缭乱。我真想抓一只回家饲养。

接着，我们又来到了金色的沙滩，一望无际的大海太美了，同学们迫不及待地冲向大海，任凭老师在岸边大喊“同学们，要小心”都被抛在脑后了。大家争先恐后脱下鞋，踩着细软的沙子，舒服极了。我跳入海中，只见海浪像一匹匹脱缰的野马，向我撞击着，使我连连后退。我们跟着浪花捉迷藏，玩的不亦乐乎……黄昏将至，在老师的催促声中，我们恋恋不舍地离开了。

美好的时光总是短暂的，这次厦门之旅既让我领略大自然优美风光，又让我感受到海底动物的神奇，真是一举两得呀！

漂流的日子里，心有所依。某年某月的某一天，我在鼓浪屿……

鼓浪屿的山是美丽的。那青山岩石高高耸立，直插云天。鼓浪屿的山，峰岚雄伟，遥相呼应。仿佛是一对对姐妹兄弟相依相偎，说着悄悄话。移步登上高高的山顶，俯视湛蓝的大海，金黄的沙滩，感叹大自然的赐予。

鼓浪屿的海是美丽的。那里的海湛蓝清澈，海天一色，鸥翔鱼游。海面上层层的浪花翻卷着咆哮着，乘船出海，拉网捕鱼，美哉美哉！鱼网中，鱼儿欢快的跳跃着；霸道的螃蟹横行着；机灵的小虾玩蹦蹦床呢。可最后都成了我们的盘中餐。

鼓浪屿的沙滩也是美丽的。米黄的沙粒细细的，徒脚踩在沙子上，给我的小脚做个沙子spa。沙子中还有丰富的宝藏等我发掘，有贝壳，小海螺……

鼓浪屿的博物馆是美丽的。钢琴博物馆内陈列设各类古典名家的钢琴。其中要数贝多芬曾经演奏过的钢琴和《月光曲》琴谱最让我印象深刻了。那乐谱早已有些泛黄，陈旧不堪，可细心的文物修复者经过了多种修复手段，较好的保存了下来。那一架架钢琴诉说着钢琴音乐的发展历程；诉说着一本本乐谱的岁月痕迹；诉说着一个个钢琴家的努力实践的音乐梦想。我仿佛穿越到那些音乐名家的时代，倾听大师们的演奏。

鼓浪屿的山是美丽的，海是美丽的，沙滩也是美丽的，博物馆依旧是美丽的。鼓浪屿的街道摩肩接踵，一派繁荣。我喜欢那家手工香皂店，挑选些自己喜欢的干花，加入香皂中。我喜欢那家甜蜜蜜的烧仙草店，品尝甜蜜蜜的清凉。更喜欢步行街的蜡像馆，一睹名人的风采。

在这样美的风景里，我们摆出各类pose，让爸爸为我们留下珍贵的瞬间。带着满怀的好心情，好记忆，还带回一路的月色。美轮美奂的鼓浪屿，byebye！

今天，我们刚下飞机，相迎的便是公交车了，因为，我们要去鼓浪屿游玩!

听到这一个名字，我的心便翻腾起来，一起在想这个意思，原来，鼓浪屿是一个“屿”，“屿”的意思是四面都是水的岛，海水打击它时就像击鼓一样，听说，那儿还很美呢!于是，我也迫不及待地来“凑热闹”了!

哈哈!果然不假，这一个海上之珠太美了!

静静的沙滩，平平的海面，一下子变得热闹起来!走出郁郁葱葱、枝叶繁茂的小树木，呈现在眼前的是一个宽阔的海滩，我来到海边，抚摸着沙子，沙子金黄金黄的，海好像也长着一双锐利的眼睛，也冲上来抚摸我了，当海水卷沙土飞奔而来时，我迎了过来，这一片场景真像毛主席说的“卷起造成堆雪”啊!

昂头望去，一座巨石雕像立于山头上，它，就是明朝人郑成功，他当时就从这里去收复台湾的。也就是从鼓浪屿一起往前走，就是台湾岛了，这一座石雕栩栩如生，气质蓬勃，正如同一位真正的郑成功在这里眺望。于是，老爸也学上了，背着手，昂首挺胸!还学得挺像的嘛!

可惜，我们并没有在日光岩上眺望，如果在上面，你的脚底下会是郁郁葱葱的树木、蔚蓝的大海的!

离开了鼓浪屿，我看见鼓浪屿渐渐缩小，最后变成一个小黑点。
