八月九日星期二的一早，我跟妈妈、外公、外婆一起去厦门鼓浪屿玩，我们是乘飞机飞过去的。到了厦门我们就乘船到了一个小岛，这个小岛叫做鼓浪屿。我们在那儿找到了一个酒店住了下来，这个酒店的名字叫做七里酒店。在那里住了一个晚上，后来乘小汽车到了另一家酒店，叫中德记酒店。在那儿住了三个晚上，我们去看了郑成功雕塑，去玩了日光岩。八月十三日最后一天在中德记酒店换了一个房间，晚上还是坐飞机飞回来的。一共在厦门玩了五天。

我们拍照片拍得最多的地方是郑成功雕塑，因为妈妈他们都很喜欢郑成功，所以在那里拍上拍下。郑成功以前千里迢迢带着百万士兵到这里来打红毛鬼子，大家很佩服他，所以在那里给他立了一个雕像。

我们在那里海边一共游过四次泳，到最后一天去的时候，大海里面的水好脏好脏，脏到游一步泳就有一个垃圾漂过来，有树枝啊，有空瓶，结果那次我们刚下水就上来了。因为我希望是天天游泳，妈妈结果对我说：“这就算游过泳了”。

我们最后一天去看了一场电影，片名叫《超级大坏蛋》，这个电影很好笑，其中有一个情节，有一个巨人对一个女的说：“我们来几次英雄救女人，你就会喜欢我了”。他就把那个女的抛到空中然后让她摔下去，到落地时候才把她救上来，就这样子来了好几次，把那个女的吓死了，啊?原来这就叫英雄救女人，这么可怕!

回来的那天，爸爸到飞机场接我们回家，刚看到爸爸的时候感觉到有点陌生，我就一直傻笑，后来才开口轻轻地叫了一声爸爸。

踏上鼓浪屿，映入眼帘的便是那巨大的榕树。树上的根须垂直地悬在半空中，有些已经长成了树。树上有许多鸟，简直就是鸟的天堂。

走过长满榕树的小道，来到了皓月园。进入皓月园，顺着小路走，旁边是金黄的沙滩和无边无际的海洋。顺着小道上了山路，半山腰上建了观海石桥，从桥上向远望，无尽的海洋上披着一层薄雾，扑入眼帘，让人陶醉。似乎自己就是海洋的一分子。走上山顶，高大的郑成功雕像呈现在眼前。郑成功远望着大海对面的台湾，他是在罹着他曾经收复的宝岛台湾。

出了菽庄花园，穿过一个十字路口，直接往下走，就来到了日光岩，是鼓浪屿最重要的景点。日光岩顶就是鼓浪屿的最高处。走进日光岩景区才发现，日光岩原来是块巨石，大得几乎无法用数学估量。字凹进去的一块让人感到要掉下来似的，给人一种强烈的视觉刺激感，着看总有些不安。石头顶端云雾缭绕，让人想揭开它的神秘面纱。走上日光岩，发现一棵巨大的榕树长在巨石上，几乎是从巨石里生长的。走过几条狭窄的阶梯，就上到了日光岩的顶端。顶端原来是个以前打仗用的堡垒。往下看，整个鼓浪屿的风景尽收眼底：金黄的沙滩，西式的房屋，巨大的榕树，无边的海洋…….让人沉浸其中,久久无法自拔。 听说在晴朗的天气，这里可以看到金门马岛的人和建筑。可惜我们去的时候下雨了。

暑假的时候，我和妈妈、爸爸去鼓浪屿玩。我们来到了沙滩。远远望去，那海在灿烂的阳光下平平铺开;走近一看，海水微波起伏，像一块硕大无比的绿翡翠，和暖而温柔。有时候，海水银光泛泛，似乎无数珍珠洒落在海里;有时候，大海温柔极了，海水轻轻地抚摸着沙滩，发出了“刷刷”的声音;有时候，海风吹着尖厉的号角声打向大海，大海似乎受到了惊吓，向海岸攻击着，发出了“隆隆”的怒吼声，“轰——”一个大浪蛮横地闯上沙滩，发出了一声巨响，仿佛连大地也颤抖了一下;有时候，大海调皮极了，它命令海浪向我冲来，“哗——”我那条艳丽的裙子都湿透了，妈妈看我这狼狈样，笑得直不起腰。

游览鼓浪屿是我心中向往已久的愿望。今年寒假，爸爸、妈妈终于圆了我这个梦，带我来到了厦门鼓浪屿。

从厦门到鼓浪屿只需坐5分钟左右的渡轮。刚上船，我就已经猜出眼前这个小岛为什么叫鼓浪屿了。厦门是个半岛，而鼓浪屿，则是厦门的一部分，靠海边，海水冲上来像鼓敲一样，就是鼓，浪，就是海浪，而屿，就是岛屿的意思。

“到了，到了!”我兴奋地喊道。呈现在我们眼前的，是一座座风格各异的万国建筑群，一条条幽静的石板小巷。我们经过一番漫无目的的七拐八拐之后，来到一条繁华朴实的街道——龙头路。这儿什么都有卖的，发卡、首饰、布娃娃、奶茶……哦，对了!鼓浪屿还有一个小吃特色——各种水果味的馅饼。这些馅饼的皮又香又脆，中间的水果夹心又多又美味，而且甜而不腻，别提有多好吃了!狂吃狂购物之后，我们来到了鼓浪屿最著名的景点日光岩。

瞧!这就是日光岩，也是来鼓浪屿必看的景点之一。所以说：“不登日光岩，枉费厦门行。”日光岩高92.8米，顶部有一直径40多米的巨石凌空屹立，浑然天成，为厦门的象征。另外，日光岩还有两种传说。一种是地理传说：因为每天清晨太阳从厦门五老峰后升起，日光岩最先沐浴在阳光中，故得名为日光岩。另一种是历史传说：当年郑成功来到晃岩(日光岩别称)，见到这里景色远远胜过日本的日光山，便把“晃”字拆开，成了日光岩。登上日光岩，就可以欣赏极为壮观的厦门全景，您是否有“会当凌绝顶，一览众山小”的感觉?

鼓浪屿上有600多架钢琴，钢琴密度是中国之冠，鼓浪屿也被称为是“钢琴之岛”。鼓浪屿也出过多位音乐家，歌唱家，钢琴演奏家和小提琴演奏家，鼓浪屿因此也别称为是“音乐之乡”。 走进钢琴博物馆，看到最多的是那种插着灯的钢琴，或有蜡烛台的钢琴。有的看起来很新，容光焕发。有的则很旧，上面的油漆都快掉光了。钢琴博物馆的大厅中间，有一台超大型的钢琴，琴键多的不得了。天哪，如果是很快的曲子，那么多的琴键，怎么来得及弹啊……还有最稀有的钢琴，弯着的，成一个直角。我用手做了一下，也不知道，以前制造这钢琴的人是怎么弹的……还有和我们课桌差不多大小的钢琴等等，真是稀奇古怪啊…

在鼓浪屿这个小岛上还有郑成功的纪念馆，里面成列了许多郑成功生前的东西。在纪念馆的前面矗立着郑成功的雕像，郑成功那严肃的面部表情，那么具有威信。他张开双臂，我坐在他的膝盖上，紧握着他的双手。感觉血液宛如奔腾不息的江河在流动，那双炯炯有神的眼睛注视着前方，他正眺望着他子孙的奋发成长的过程。从他的雕像上，我看到了许多许多，仿佛已回到了郑成功这个年代。我们还来到了日光岩，他是鼓浪屿最高点，顶端海拔96米。山上巨石嵯峨，叠成洞壑。树木葱郁，亭台掩映。从远处看非常的壮观，我们乘缆车来到日光岩的脚下。

我们一节一节的向上走，上面人真是太多了，地方又小，好不容易才走到最上面。登临绝顶，山海奇观，风光无限，厦门、鼓浪屿、大担、二担诸岛尽收眼底。这真是个眺望景点的好地方呀!来到鼓浪屿，不来鼓浪石旁边走走怎么可以呢!我们的游船是下午5点钟来接我们，我们正好可以在海边听一听敲鼓般的美妙乐章，河水涌上来，拍打着鼓浪石，发出优美的鼓声。

我们不禁赞叹道：“好一块鼓浪石啊!”游船慢慢驶上了码头，我们带着满怀的好心情，带着鼓浪屿有名的特产，带着鼓浪屿的鼓声，告别了这座美丽无比的岛屿。

十一国庆节，我来到了厦门。

西塘，古名斜塘，早在春秋战国时期就是吴越相争的交界处，故有吴根越角之称。“九里弯头放掉行，绿柳红杏带啼莺，”正呈现了西塘这个江南水乡的秀丽风光。西塘地势平坦，河流密布，自然环境十分幽静。有九条河道在镇区交汇，把镇区划分成八个板块，而众多的桥梁又把水乡连成一体。古称“九龙捧珠”、“八面来风”。

从土楼回来，我们就来到了“钢琴之岛”鼓浪屿。鼓浪屿可真美呀！从我一踏上这个小岛，就被它深深地迷住了。

在鼓浪屿的第二天傍晚，我们慕名去了鼓浪屿的菽庄花园。菽庄花园里的四十四桥十分奇妙，整个桥都是建造在大海上的，在桥上走路时给人一种在海面上行走的感觉，桥将一片海水和沙滩围了起来，不仔细看还会以为这是一个湖呢。四十四桥上各种各样的灯光把这座桥装饰得更美丽了。

在这里，还可以看见鼓浪屿最高的地方——日光岩顶峰，白天我们刚爬上日光岩，在日光岩的顶峰可以俯视整个鼓浪屿。我却总是感觉此时看见的日光岩比白天攀爬的日光岩要高许多。正当我们欣赏着菽庄花园里的美丽风景时，我发现爸爸却不在我们身边，原来，爸爸还在我们后面几米远的地方拍夜景照片。我跑到爸爸身边，告诉爸爸：“越往前风景越好哦！”爸爸又拉住我当模特拍了几张照片，然后和我们一起向前走。

福建厦门鼓浪屿是镶嵌在南海上的一颗明珠，素有“海上花园”之美誉。我在国庆节也去了这个美丽的地方。

为什么要叫它福建厦门鼓浪屿呢？原来，是由一块座落在菽庄花园的四十四桥旁的一块名叫鼓浪石的势头而得名，从远处听，可以听到海浪有节奏地拍打着岩石。鼓浪屿上有许多好去处，比方说，日光岩啦，菽庄花园等等。

我们一上福建厦门鼓浪屿，就向着“不登日光岩，枉费福建厦门行”的日光岩。走近一看，但绝倒日光岩非常雄伟，虽然它才高92。7米，但我仍然感到它很高。在爬的过程中，我抬头望了望上方的山顶，觉得它很悬，又看了看那陡峭的山坡，一阶阶的石梯，又使我重新鼓起了勇气，一阶一阶往上爬。眼看就要到了峰顶，可那陡峭的石阶左一弯，右一曲，似乎在爬三、四百米的山。有人喊：“加油啊！小伙子！马上到顶了！”终于到峰顶了，我极目远眺，海滩上人潮如织，有许多欧式建筑，再远眺，金门岛在远处凝视着我们，还有一句：“三民主义，统一中国”的标语；在福建厦门岛，和金门岛遥遥相对的一处，也有一句“一国两制，统一中国”的标语。我们在山顶张拍了几张相，就慢慢下了山。

我们沿着沙滩，到了里面有钢琴博物馆的菽庄花园。我先看到了十二洞天，里面有雕成十二生肖的石雕，如果你能载里面用最快的速度找到十二生肖的所有动物，那就请你往上走。沿着山坡上的小路一直往前走，久道了钢琴博物馆，里面有从最早生产的钢琴到现代的钢琴。我最喜欢的就是自动式钢琴了，它时因为以前的人之忧贵族才能买到钢琴，它起到装饰作用，但有的人不会弹钢琴，脚踩着底下的两个踏板，能演奏出美妙的乐曲。出了钢琴博物馆，我们就前往四十四桥，可能是因为这座桥友四十四个桥墩吧。走完了四十四桥，我们看到了一块大石头，这块石头就是鼓浪石，现在正在涨潮，浪不断地敲击着那块石头，很像在击鼓。

皓月园是一个为了纪念郑成功的主题公园。我们爬上郑成功雕塑，它高15。7米，重1617吨，是我国目前最雄伟的雕塑。我们登上郑成功雕塑，在近处仰望它，仿佛它也在望着我们。

福建厦门鼓浪屿风景名胜区，是福建厦门人的骄傲。

厦门——一直是我梦中的梦境之地，如今，我终于可以美梦成真了。经爸爸妈妈讨论，决定这个寒假带我去厦门的鼓浪屿游玩。

10月4日，阳光格外的明媚，灿烂的阳光从窗外射进来，把房间照得暖洋洋，我打了个哈欠，然后意味深长地说：“嗨，忙碌的一天又开始了。”

你们知道此时是几点了吗?已经是夜晚11点多了。我们来到了邻近的八仙宾馆住下，准备明天去游玩。

第二天早晨，我们来到了万石山。

刚到万石山门口，我就被门外那五颜六色的花丛迷住了，在往旁边一看，啊!我惊呆了。高高的石头上挂下来了一道长长的瀑布，瀑布下就是清澈的小河。我看了好久才想起来，这只是大门，里面还没看呢!

我们进了植物园的大门，就是人造丛林，中间有一条宽敞的小路，两旁种了各种各样、见也没见过的树：美丽的金杯藤、小巧玲珑的鹰爪、开枝散叶的旅人蕉、枝繁叶茂的菩提树、满带胡须的大榕树、巨大无比的橡皮树……这些树看得我眼花缭乱，目不暇接。

再走过去就来到了百花厅。

刚进门，清澈的池水就映入眼帘。在池水边，有一座凉亭，周围的美丽的鲜花和碧绿的树叶团团簇拥着，背后还有连绵起伏的青山，山红树碧，柳暗花明，倒映在池水中，格外的诱人。在低头一看，啊!这是我日思夜想的睡莲呀!那淡紫色的睡莲，浮在碧绿的浮萍上，衬托得更加迷人，让我陶醉在其中。

过了一会儿，我们走进了大厅，这真不愧是“百花厅”，各种名花都有：奇形怪状的蒲包花、娇艳美丽的比利时杜鹃、艳如锦缎的蝴蝶兰……真是让我大开眼界。

走出百花厅，迎面就是一排排棕榈科的树，有细长的皇后葵、结满果实的青棕、高大的椰子树……

我们继续走着，就来到了松杉园，“哇!那儿有丹顶鹤。”我不禁大叫起来。但迟迟没见它动。我仔细一看，原来是几只丹顶鹤雕像，那些“丹顶鹤”真是羽羽如生，“丹顶鹤”倒映在清澈的湖水中，仿佛在做优美的动作，有的在“照镜子”，有的在梳理羽毛，有的在玩耍嬉戏……真是千姿百态啊!

……

三个小时后，我们依依不舍地走出了万石山的大门。又来到了风光秀丽的海湾。

啊!厦门有山有水，景色真是名不虚传呀!你看!那里也有壮观的跨海大桥，大桥就像一条蜿蜒的巨龙，盘旋在海面上，桥上车辆来来往往，热闹极了。宽阔的沙滩，走在软软的沙滩上，顽皮的海浪跳跃不停，好像在和我们捉迷藏。眺望远方，在大海的边境，一座座山连绵起伏，真是青山环绕，美不胜收啊!

时间过得真快，很快就到下午三点钟了，也该回去了，于是，我们坐着爸爸的车子回家了……

Yuandan is the first day of the lunar calendar. It is the day when the earth has circled the sun for one round and is beginning another circling. It represents a new beginning when people send off the old days and welcome the new ones. As the first day of the year, Yuandan has been considered to be the most important festival since the ancient times.

Customs

1. Kaisui(beginning of the year): According to the Chinese traditional custom, starting from haishi(9p.m. to 11p.m.)of the last evening of the twelfth lunar month, each family must prepare offering s to deities at the altar. At the same time, they too prepare food for the New Year day: The whole family will then stay awake together to attend to the year(called shou sui). After haishi, zishi(11p.m. to 1a.m.)will come, and this is the arrival of New Year(Yuandan). At this moment, people begin the celebration with fireworks. Vegetarian and sweet foods will then be placed are the altar for offerings, and incense be burned to welcome the deities. In the ancient times, it was believed that haishi connected the two years and thus was called kaisui.

At the same night, some families will follow the instruction in Tongshu and place preparing altar in the direction of the "fortune deity" during the "fortune time" to receive the deity. If the direction of the "fortune deity" is at the "ill position", people will choose to receive "happy deity" or "noble deity" instead.

2. There is an apparent difference in the custom of food taking on Yuandan between the Chinese in the northern and southern regions. The northern Chinese has the habit of taking jiao zi(dumpling made of flour with vegetable and meat wrapped inside). Some people may put a sweet or a coin inside jiao zi, hoping to have a sweet year after tasting the sweet and a wealthy year after tasting the coin. on the other hand, the southern Chinese have the taboo for killing on Yuandan. Therefore, they do not take meat in tee morning of Yuandan, so as to avoid bloodshed or mutual slaughter. In order to evade misfortune, they have the first meal of this day without meat. Instead, they take vegetarian food for the sake of virtue.

3. What is special during the New Year is that parents or elders will distribute red packets(ang pao or ya sui qian)to the children. People in the ancient times were more particular in giving away the red packets: the distribution took place on the eve of New Year so that the kids could suppress the past year and enter the New Year. Ya sui has the meaning of overcoming the unpredictable future. Representing the wishes for the healthy psychological growth of the children, ya sui qian symbolises the elders hope to see their children overcome all the unpredictable elements brought by the "year".
