在每一件事的结果，都有成功和失败的结局。说实在的，在我心目中，成功是为我点亮生活未来的一盏灯。从小到大，我的生活中，点亮了不少成功的灯。特别是那一次，那盏亮闪闪的灯将照明我一生啊!

在2008年6月24日，我和妈妈还有妹妹一起去市民广场走走，就当是散步。我们从玩的地方走出来后，看见一些人为在跳舞的旁边，不知道在看什么。我心中特疑惑，一直盯着那儿看。妈妈好像看出了我的心思，于是对我说：“走，楠浠。我们去看看他们在看什么。”我听了这句话，马上跑上去，一看，唉，原来是一些人在溜冰;而且还有一些小孩子。看来哦，这里是在叫小孩子溜冰的一个团。马上的，妈妈和妹妹也来看了。妈妈看了一会儿，就问那里的宣传阿姨一些情况，于是就帮我在那儿报了名，像让我在这里学会滑冰。

一开始，我穿着溜冰鞋，就照教练说得自己先去找一下感觉。于是，我拉着边上的绳子，一步一步地，小心翼翼的往前走。然后。王教练过来，领着我，不用绳子的帮助，独自滑。王教练走一步，我就跟一步，那样子，真像一个小婴儿初学走路时的情景。过后，王教练让我一个人独自练习，我只得一个人，围着绳子一圈圈的转。我每次没走几步，就几乎要摔一跤，每次摔得特别痛。正当我灰心的时候，我突然想起一句一句经典的歌词“不经历风雨，怎能见彩虹”。我马上又变得坚强起来，继续滑，滑啊滑啊，我终于会了一点儿了。我高兴的真想一蹦三尺，可惜啊，溜冰鞋太重了，我根本跳不起来……

从那以后，我每周都回去练溜冰。终于，功夫不负有心人，我溜冰的速度都可以赶得上教练了，而且呀，还会了一些溜冰的花样呢!

是啊!不经历风雨，怎能见彩虹?着是我成功时悟出的一个道理，你呢?这个道理将点亮我未来的生活!

After I entered seniorschool, I found it really hard for me to learn math well. There were so manyproblems which I didnt understand that I did badly in exams. Both my parentsand math teachers believed that I couldnt learn math well. One day I met adifficult problem which took me nearly an hour to work it out. Nonetheless，I realized that I was the onlyone in my class to work it out! That really built up my confidence in math.Finally I became very good at math and my math teacher was surprised by my progress.It was confidence that helped me overcome the difficulty.

If a person wants to be successful, the first thing to do is to get confidence, assuccess is the body of confidence.

Often times it just seems like something too far out of reach.Nothing in

the word is difficult for one who sets his mind to it.Everyone wishes to be

successful in life.

In my eyes, opportunity is a part of success. Many great people found great

things by chance. It is true some successes can be won because of unexpected

help and findings.

Opportunities don’t come often.They come quietly and often go by without

being noticed.

In fact, many opportunities have been lost on the wan to success. so , it

is necessary that we should treat opportunities with care. An opportunity just

brings a promise but never realizes it on its own. Only by working hard, making

great efforts and getting prepared, wil we catch the coming opportunity get to

our goal.

Different poople have different views on success. Some hold that making a

great deal of money means success. Others argue that holding an important post

in the government means success. Still others believe that having a high

academic title at a famous university or a research institute means success.

In my opinion, success means brilliant achievement in our work. In other

words, no matter what we do, making outstanding contributions to the development

of our country and bringing help and happiness to others is success.

To achieve success, we should ,first of all, have a clear long-term goal in

our life. Second ,we be both perseverant and hardworking. Whatever we do, there

are always two possibilities: success and failure. We should never lose heart

when we come across difficulties or when we are confronted with failure.

Instead, we should learn from our experience, build up our confidence and work

even harder and smarter towards our purpose. Third ,we should follow the

examples of those who are successful and learn from them. Finally ,we should try

to get along well with our classmates and colleagues. We should care each other

and help each other in our study, our work and our life, because work is of

great importance in the realization of our dream.

If we can follow these principles, we will certainly achieve remarkable

success in our life.

Know the room. Be familiar with the place in which you will speak. Arrive early, walk around the speaking area and practise using the microphone and any visual aids. Know the audience. Greet some of the audience as they arrive. It’s easier to speak to a group of friends than to a group of strangers. Know your material. If you’re not familiar with your material or are uncomfortable with it, your nervousness will increase. Practise your speech and revise it if necessary. Relax. Ease tension by doing exercises. Visualize yourself giving your speech. Imagine yourself speaking, your voice loud, clear, and assured. When you visualize yourself as successful, you will be successful. Realize that people want you to succeed. Audiences want you to be interesting, stimulating, informative, and entertaining. They don’t want you to fail. Don’t apologize. If you mention your nervousness or apologize for any problems you think you have with your speech, you may be calling the audience’s attention to something they hadn’t noticed. Keep silent. Concentrate on the message — not the medium. Focus your attention away from your own anxieties, and outwardly toward your message and your audience. Your nervousness will dissipate. Turn nervousness into positive energy. Harness your nervous energy and transform it into vitality and enthusiasm. Gain experience. Experience builds confidence, which is the key to effective speaking.
