其次，一个人想要取得成功的人还应该有谨慎的性格。电灯的发明者就为解释这一点提供了一个很好的例子。据说，发明者试图用几千种金属来找到最合适的的金属做电灯泡灯丝使得灯的寿命更长、更亮。我觉得如果发明者不是非常谨慎工作，他不可能在最后取得胜利。一个靠自己努力而成功的人应该是谨慎地工作，有时连一些很琐碎的事情甚至都要小心。就像当那些科学家和数学家正在处理一个复杂的问题时，如果他们犯了一丁点的错误，他们之前的努力都将是徒劳的。因此，谨慎是很有必要的。

人各有所长，各有所短。一个人看不到自己的短处，容易自傲，固然不好；但是，看不到自己的长处，必然自卑。存在自卑心理的人，怎么能鼓起生活、事业的风帆?又怎么能达到光辉的彼岸呢?

Failure is a common thing in ones life. Almost everyone experiences failure in his life. When one fails in his attempt in doing something, he often feels upset. Some people may yield to failure and flinch from it. But others will stick to and achieve the final success.

Success is what everyone expects. It may lead to fame and glory. When one suc ceeds in doing something, he gets so excited that he often neglects all the unsuccessful at tempts he has done.

星期六，我和爸爸妈妈去世纪公园玩，突然我看见有人在吹泡泡，于是，我很想吹一次泡泡。

回到家后，我准备好了原料，自己开始做了泡泡液。我先准备了一杯水和半杯洗洁精，我把它们混合在一起，搅拌均匀，泡泡液就做好了。

我用吸管蘸取少许泡泡液，猛地一吹，吸管里只流出来泡泡水，什么也没吹出来。我想：是不是我吹得太用力了？我决定下一次轻一点，于是，我轻轻地一吹，也没有吹出任何东西。我猜想了，要把泡泡吹出来，必须不轻不重。第三次，我耐着性子，用不大不小的力气、小心翼翼地吹了一下，“哇！我吹出来了！”我情不自禁地叫了起来。经过一番练习，我吹得更熟练了。我吹的泡泡有的像拳头那么大，有的像黄豆那么小，有的好像糖葫芦连成一串。在阳光的照耀下，它五光十色、色彩斑斓。

吃泡泡真是有乐趣呀！

“天才出自勤奋。”这句话说得不错，勤能补拙，即使这个人不是天才，但经过勤奋地学习，不断地努力，一定能成为一个天才。但是，如果这个人天资聪颖，出生下来就是个天才，他引以为傲，但不勤奋地学习，懒惰成习，那么，即使他再聪明，也会变愚笨。所以，一个人不管他天赋怎么样，只要经过勤奋，就一定能够成为天才。

刚刚放学，我就被老师叫到办公室，我想;八成又是坏事吧!我的心咚咚直跳，轻手轻脚的走进办公室，低声问;“老师找我有事吗?”我看见了老师头紧皱，正在拿着前天的考试卷子，突然就有了一种不祥的预感。

老师告诉我我英语考了94分，我居然考了意料之外的分数，94分。我想;“不会呀!怎么会考94分，过老师的一番夸奖我脸红了。领到卷子后我才知道，这是细心的结果，这是几个月来刻苦努力的结果。我才想起，原来，考的低分是不细心，不读题的后果，如果做宇宙飞船的人们忽疏了一个小数点，造成的后果是可想而知的。”

我渐渐低下了头，才知道，一个人要想把事情做好，首先要做到细心，因为只有细心才能把问题追根个水落石出，而就为了细心，我几乎天天做阅读、完型，这让我明白了不要认为只要勤奋过就会永远聪明，只要你一懒惰下来，为自己取得的成就感到自满，骄傲时，那么你也会从天才降级为平凡的人。人不应该拥有骄傲自满的心态，否则再勤奋也没用。勤奋应该为每个人所拥有的心态。

勤奋，是成功的秘诀，也是成功的铺路石。“一分耕耘一分收获”，“一分辛苦一分才”。没有耕耘，没有辛苦，就没有收获，没有知识。

Every body wants to succeed. But when it comes to the question that which

factor leads to success, opportunity or hard-work, different people will offer

different answers.

Some people think that opportunity is the first factor leading to success.

They hold the idea, as a proverb saying, “Man proposes, god disposes”. Because

almost all successful people have good luck and have caught their valuable

opportunities, they believe that opportunity is a leading condition of the

success. If seizes and makes the best use of opportunity available, one can

succeed surely. In summary, to them, chances and lucks play the most important

role on the road to success.

However, others maintain that “no pains, no gains” .Without exerting

oneself, one could never expect to achieve success in no matter what one is

doing. As is known to all, there is no royal road to the summit of success. One

is likely to succeed only when one has worked with whole-hearted devotion and

perseverance. Those who are lazy, sloppy and indifferent to their work, those

who never concentrate on work will definitely end in failure. On the whole, as

far as they are concerned, hard-working is the decisive factor to success.

In my view, both hard work and opportunity eventually matters. They are

inseparable from each other, and put together, they make a great success. Hard

work is to luck what fish is to water, and can be seen as an interior

precondition of success. It lays the corner-stone for building a house while

luck serves to cement it, to make the building bricks adherent to one another.

They are the twins that contribute to success together. They are the factors

from within and without respectively. We must work hard, make efforts and get

prepared. When opportunities come, meet and make full use of them. Only in this

way can we succeed one day.
