“成功”是指什么？“成功的秘诀”又是指的什么？这个问题在我心中无法得到答案，但经过那一次，这个谜团终于解开了。

那是一个下午，我刚吃完饭，就被老师叫到了校长办公室外，对屋里的高老师说：“让这个孩子也试试吧！”高老师点了点头，叫我到里屋去。那里面有许多人：张湘楠、程雅慧、向乐乐、张文杰、卓金巧……我心想：这不是要选“六一”文艺汇演的主持人吧！一想到这儿，我的心就怦怦直跳。高老师对我们说：“你们把这张纸上的内容读熟，等会儿我看谁读的好。”说完，他递给我们一张纸。听了高老师的话，我立马行动起来，其他人也不例外。后来，我、张湘楠、张文杰还有朱磊被选中了，高老师说：“以后每天下午，你们都到孟芬老师办公室去练习台词。”

那天下午，我照常到孟芬老师办公室进练习。正当我读到《想爸妈》的台词的时，孟老师一脸不悦地说：“你读得一点感情也没有，应该…”。于是我又读了一遍，还是受到了老师的批评。这时，我的泪水开始在眼眶里打转转，心里想打“退堂鼓”。老师似乎看出了我的心思，便和颜悦色地对我说：“老师不是骂你，只是希望你能做得更好。就像毛泽东说的；‘要想不经过艰难险阻，不付出极大的努力，总是一帆风顺，容易得到成功，这种想法只是幻想’。如果你不努力，在你身后努力的人就会超过你，而你却还在原地踏步。”听了老师的话，我收回了自己那‘不争气’的泪水。打那以后，我再也没有萌生出“放弃”这样的想法。

“六一”文艺汇演那天，我成功完成了自己的使命，心里别提有多高兴了，心里比吃了蜜还甜。

通过这次主持节目，我明白了：“如果在通往成功的路上必须要经过一条河，那么坚持和努力必定是那条河上的桥梁！”

晚上睡觉前，我总是喜欢和妈妈聊天。有时候会问妈妈一些很深奥的问题，比如，为何难寻古海水？又或者是北纬30度有什么奇妙的地方等等。经常把妈妈问得只能求助于网络，妈妈也很好奇我怎么会有这么多奇怪的问题。

有一天晚上，我忽然想起来一个问题，我问妈妈：“妈妈，是不是这个世界上，有钱的人越来越有钱，没有钱的人，越来越穷呢？”妈妈很惊讶地问我怎么会想到这个问题呢？

我告诉妈妈，那是因为看了电影《西虹市首富》，看到有钱的人，想把10亿的钱花光，结果做投资，没想到又赚了10亿。随后，我就开始思考这个问题了。可是思来想去，也没有什么结果，于是就问了妈妈。

妈妈回答我说，这个世界确实是有钱的人，越来越有钱，没有钱的人越来越穷。有钱的人，可以拿钱做生意，做投资，可以赚到更多的钱。而穷人，每天为着一日三餐的温饱问题而操心烦恼。随后妈妈又反问我：“你知道有钱的人，为什么能赚到很多钱吗？”我当时被这个问题问倒了。妈妈看了看我，微笑地对我说，那些有钱的人，首先是拥有成功人的思维。他们会想办法赚到第一桶金，然后继续努力不断学习成长，学习如何赚钱。

我脸上露出了懵懂迷茫的神态，随后问妈妈，什么叫“成功人的思维”？

妈妈举了个例子告诉我，阿里巴巴的创始人马云，当时考大学两次落选，但是他没有放弃，第三次终于成功地考上了杭州师范大学。毕业后，他又相继创业，做了中国网页等，前后18次创业失败，最终在1999年成功创办了阿里巴巴，在50岁时登顶亚洲首富。妈妈问我，从这个故事里面看到了什么呢？我觉得，所谓成功人的思维，就是面对失败，不放弃，坚持努力，找到失败的原因后，重新解决困难，避免再犯同样的错误。就像培根所说，“失败乃成功之母。”

What is the definition of success? I believe different people will have different opinions about it. If anyone asks me what is success for me， I will tell him progress is success for me. I can have small goal or great aim in my whole life. If the goal what I set is too large for me， I will not taste the feeling of success. Or I always set small goals， so I will feel success all the time， which may make me become autophilia and without ambitions. Therefore， I think if I can be better than yesterday or last time， then I am successful.

Diligence is the key to success.Many scientists become famous and have made great contributions to development of the world only because they have firm beliefs and confidence in success and never give up when they have met with a lot of difficulties and failures.Success always belongs to those who have tried their best and done things with great efforts.

I was having a word with one of my friend today and during whole conversation, I felt that he lacked on one point and that was self confidence. All the way, he was comparing himself from those people who were successful in his field of work, people around him. And he was just keeping himself “low” from them.

Well, it’s the self confidence which can make and break things. This thing applies in blogging too. Feel confident about the things you do and don’t just think that because other’s are doing well, then you are any less than them. You are equally good and it’s only you who can realize that where exactly you are good.

Here are few things which you should follow when you are losing self confidence :

1. Stop thinking that what other are achieving : Instead think that what is making them achieve that success and then work on those areas and try to gain that same success.

2. Think on the lines, where you are lacking but don’t make them the hurdle in your success : Instead, think that how you can improve on those weak points. No body is perfect and no one will ever be, so if you do lack somewhere, you just have to think that do you really lack or do other are making you feel that. If at all you think that yes, you do lack in a particular area, then go ahead and work on it.

3. Improve the areas where you have the mastery : Again, no one is perfect and there is always a scope of improvement and by talking to various people in that niche, you’ll only gain knowledge and will be able to know more in that field. So talk to your fellow bloggers, and see how they do things differently and how they blog, I’m sure you’ll learn something new than what you already know.

4. Teach someone in that niche : When you’ll talk to someone in that niche who is still new, then you’ll be able to share those things which you already know and that way your confidence level will increase, because you’ll realize that you know much more than others and that will give enormous amount of confidence.

5. Success is what you feel with in : Well, its all about setting the standards. Everyone knows what he or she is capable of but just because you get influenced with someone, you start to feel that you are not successful. Instead think that what you’ve achieved and start to feel good about it.

生活中，我很少坚持着去做某一件事，如果在做这一件事的途中遇到了困难，我就会半途而废。例如做数学题做不来了，怎么想也想不出来，于是便对自己说：“去学校问同学吧，他们肯定会做的。”现在想想真是可笑，同样的一道题，为什么别人会做，而你不会呢，不是因为你笨，而是因为你没有坚持，或许只要你再坚持一下，这道题就做出来了。

We are always trying to find the way to success, which stands for power,

pride and glory. There have been strings of stories of success I was told since

I was a child. From then on, I have been fascinated with being successful.
