My Home Town

My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.

I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.

大年初五，爸爸带着我们全家兴高采烈地开车去无锡参观灵山大佛。一路上，爸爸告诉我：这灵山大佛无论是地理位置，还是外形构造，都可谓是的。先说地理位置吧，大佛南临太湖，背倚灵山，左挽青龙山右牵白虎山，地灵形胜，风水，是难得的佛国宝地;再说外形构造吧，他相当于一幢二十九层的高楼，比“山是一尊佛，佛是一座山”的四川乐山大佛还要高出十七米!是迄今为止我国的佛像!如果再加上三层座基，更是高达八十八米呢!更绝的是，这尊释迦牟尼佛像全部用黄铜制成，共用铜七百吨!灵山景区还拥有号称江南四绝的“江南第一钟、天下第一掌、神州第一鼎、华夏第一壁”……

说话间，一小时的车程不知不觉地过去了。当我们驶入太湖十里长堤，远处巍然屹立的灵山大佛也已引入眼帘。放眼望去，大佛双目垂视，眼神睿智而慈祥。无论我们走到哪里，似乎都在大佛眼神的关切之中;嘴角似笑非笑，欲言而未语，诸多嘱咐好似即将出口，使人倍感亲切。就在这关切的眼神之中，我们开启了灵山之旅。

绕开“华夏第一壁”大照壁，走过“智慧大门”五智门，我们来到了菩提大道上，迎面而来的是“九龙灌浴”。这时音乐响起，六片巨大的莲花瓣随着音乐徐徐绽开，一尊金身太子的佛像便从莲花中慢慢升起。这时，周围的九条龙就会一起喷

射出30多米的弧形水柱，在空中轰然交汇，为太子佛像沐浴。

继续前行，来到山脚下，我抬眼望去，似乎大佛又离我很近。于是我健步如飞，拾阶而上，开始登顶。等我废了九牛二虎之力，爬上218级台阶，登上60米高台，终于来到了大佛脚下，俯瞰大地，这才发现只有登临绝顶，才有一览众山小的感觉。

夕阳西下，大佛笼罩在落日的余晖中，大有佛光普照的吉祥征兆。灵山大佛名不虚传，灵山胜景不虚此行。

It was early in the morning. The sun was just creeping(爬) out of the eastern horizon(地平线)and golden red was penetrating (穿透) through the white clouds and across the sky. March 12th is Tree Planting Day. This year our school bought enough trees

before that day . On that day , we didnt had classes . The teachers and our

classmates planted trees around our school.

We began to planted trees as soon as we got to school . some students dug

the holes . Some students put the trees into the holes.

Some students put the earth back to the holes. Then we pushed the earth

hard with our feet . At last we watered the trees as much as possible.

in spite of these changes the liberation of women has not been completely

realized. prejudice against women is deeply rooted still in some peoples mind,

今天，我和妈妈来到了沈园游玩。

妈妈向我介绍：“沈园，又名沈氏园，在绍兴市区延安路和鲁迅路之间，是南宋时江南园林。它有着美丽的风景和悠久的历史。相传，南宋爱国诗人陆游初娶唐琬，伉俪相得，后被迫离异。沈园内有六朝古井、葫芦池、《钗头凤》词、湖石等遗迹。”

于是，我们买了票，进了门。一道古长廊展现在我的眼前。漫步长廊内，徐徐的微风迎面吹来，“叮叮叮”也顺便吹响了挂在长廊两旁带有木牌的小铃铛。走近一看，发现木牌上有游客对沈园的评价。

穿过长廊，一阵清香扑鼻而来。原来前面有一片梅林。一朵朵金灿灿的梅花挂在枝上露着笑脸。在梅林的对面挂着的纸片上，有许多赞美梅花的诗：陆游的《梅花绝句其一》“闻道梅花坼晓风，雪堆遍满四山中。何方可化身千亿?一树梅花一放翁。”

往前走，还有一座没有封顶的亭子，亭里面有一口井。我问妈妈：“妈妈，这个亭子怎么没顶啊?”妈妈说：“古代，打水都是用竹竿钩起来的，所以要有一定的空间，要把亭子的顶去掉。”“原来是这样。”我说。

再往里走，我们来到了《钗头凤》词壁。上面写有两首《钗头凤》。一首是陆游所作：“红酥手，黄藤酒。满城春色宫墙柳;东风恶，欢情薄，一怀愁绪，几年离索，错，错，错!春如旧，人空瘦。泪痕红浥鲛绡透;桃花落，闲池阁，山盟虽在，锦书难托，莫，莫，莫!”还有陆游的妻子唐婉看后，悲伤地写了一首：“世情薄，人情恶，雨送黄昏花易落。晓风干，泪痕残，欲笺心事，独语斜阑。难!难!难!人成各，今非昨，病魂常似秋千索。角声寒，夜阑珊，怕人寻问，咽泪装欢。瞒，瞒，瞒!”不久，唐婉就抑郁而终了。

沈园是陆游和唐婉的爱情伤心地，后来陆游思念还在沈园写了不少的诗。

我们还游玩了陆游纪念官、葫芦池……

I don＇t think our school life is colorful. Because we＇ve got so many classes every day. I wonder whether we can change our school life someday. You see, from Monday to Friday, I have to stay at school. the only relaxation is to listen to the radio or play ball games. At weekends, we need to go to school to have classes, too. I know it＇s very important for us to study well now. As the saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. "I want to step into the nature. Recently, I have been reading a book named Communication Arts. In this

book, the author Doctor Li introduces many methods to communicate with others

successfully and tells readers why everyone should be a polite person. My

favorite sentence in this book is “Everyone has potential, and everyone can

determine your own future by developing positive psychological, mastering

communication arts and showing your personality charm. In that way, you can have

a wonderful life!”

During whole sections, this book tells us human should live in a large

group, since people can’t solve all problems by their own. For that matter,

human beings should learn a series of manners to deal with any situation which

might happen wherever and whenever. After that, Doctor Li makes a point that

people need to realize how to resolve disagreements between friends, families or

colleagues. There always appears this kind of situation in social life, so it’s

important to understand how to settle it. Finally he teaches us that

communication techniques not only reflect in normal talk but also within body

languages.

In each part of the book, the author takes a large number of examples in

daily life to confirm his points. These examples in daily life are easy to

understand and accept.

After reading the book, I find many shortages of my communication skills. I

used to lack of patience when I talk to others, even got mad at them. This was

impolite and might destroy relationships between my friends and me. Therefore I

would try my best to improve myself and be welcome.

Smoe people say that money is the best thing in the world. but i consider reading books as the best and the most precious thing one can ever have.

Reading books is very important. first of all, it is knowledge that makes society develop and by reading books you can get all kinds of knowledge. furthemore, reading books makes you a qualified person and makes your life enjoyable.

今天是xx月xx日，寒假的最后一天，开学的前一天。一大早，妈妈就把我叫起床了，唠唠叨叨地吩咐我做这个，做那个。虽然不情愿，但也只有听她的。刷牙、洗脸、吃早饭，然后就“收拾”我，洗头、剪指甲 。一上午就这样过去了。在奶奶家吃完午饭，我们一家三口准备打包行李回自己家了。下午回到家里妈妈开始打扫卫生，我就整理起书包为明天开学做准备。

我现在的心情很开心，因为明天又可以和同学们一起游戏，一起学习喽！可是我的心情又有点不开心，因为不可以像以前那么自由自在了，可以在家看电视、睡懒觉、吃零食。诶！这些事都不可能了！真是有点恋恋不舍。不过没有关系，开学了我又能学到新的知识了。我要在新学期里目不转睛的看、全神贯注的听、认认真真的学。新的开始，创造新的成绩。

When i was in high school, I had to study all the time and hardly had spare

time to do what i wanted to.Besides, I had to focus on my textbooks and doing

exercise again and again. Therefore, I had little time to read magazines and

novels and watch TV. what was worse, I couldnt play with my friends a lot, which

I couldnt stand the most. In a word, all i did in high shool should be

considered for the College Entrance Examination.

However, my college life is totally different from the life in high

school.I can arrange my time freely. I spend most of my time reading in the

library, where I can open my eyes and broaden my mind.In my free time, I also

join some clubs,where i can make a lot of friends of different majors. My

teachers in college are so kind and knowledgeable that they not only teach us

knowledge but also how to be a person and how to get on with others. In

addition, there are more opportunities for me to improve myself.

I believe college life is an important stage in my life. In college, i can

learn how to learn by myself, how to get on with others, how to live

independently.College provides me with a stage where i can show myself and be

myself.
