今年寒假，我到老家安徽去过年。我们老家有一种特殊的习俗，叫“放野火”。

“放野火”就是把田野里田埂上的荒草烧掉，等来年再长出新的草，“野火烧不尽，春风吹又生”说的就是这个道理。“放野火”既好玩，又能为去田野里干农活的人清除障碍。不过“放野火”要用到打火机，所以一定要谨慎。

大年初三的上午，我和三个最好的伙伴在爷爷的带领下去田野里“放野火”。但是，我们觉得用打火机点火太麻烦了，操纵不好还会烫到手。于是，我们便开动脑筋，想更好的办法。我想到：古代人用一根长长的木棒，木棒上包着塑料或草，做个火把，点燃后可以烧个几十分钟。于是，我就寻找材料做了起来。

我先把找到的木棒丢到正在燃烧的草堆旁烘干，然后把塑料包上去，再裹上一层草，最后用火点燃草，就大功告成了。我举着自制的“火把”开始“干活”，结果这个“火把”整整烧了二十多分钟才灭，我们一共烧了三条田埂，天空中冒着浓浓的黑烟，我们望着自己的“战绩”，兴高采烈地回家吃饭。

回家乡的途中，我们要经过永州，爸爸说：“我们去柳子庙玩吧!”我们齐声说好。

柳子庙是柳宗元纪念馆。柳宗元在永州住了十年，写下了“永州八记”。柳子庙里有柳宗元的雕像，还介绍了柳宗元在永州做出的贡献，以及他写的文章等。我背过他写的古文《捕蛇者说》和《小石潭记》，不过，现在忘得差不多啦!

从柳子庙出来，沿着愚溪，我们来到了钴姆潭。钴姆潭因柳宗元“永州八记”第二篇《钴姆潭记》而闻名。钴姆，古时熨斗的称呼，因为潭形像熨斗，故名钴姆潭。爸爸扶着，我们沿着陡峭的小路，来到潭边。潭水很清，潭底的长满了绿油油的水草，水草顺着水势摇摆，像一条条绿色的丝带。

我们走呀走呀，来到了西小丘。西小丘约400平方米，因柳宗元“永州八记”第三篇《钴姆潭西小丘记》而闻名。该丘“梁之上有丘焉，生竹树。其石之突怒偃蹇，负土而出，争为奇状者，殆不可数。”西小丘有一片竹林，走进去令人心旷神怡。

过了西小丘，就来到了小石潭。小石潭的水依然那么清澈，却见不到底，因为被水草覆盖了，柳宗元写的“近岸卷石底以出，为坻为屿，为勘为岩”的景象不见了。潭中没有鱼，柳宗元“往来翕乎，似与游者相乐”的乐趣，我也体会不到了。

“永州八记”的其他景点我们没有去，有点遗憾。

除夕，好热闹啊!新年的钟声刚敲响，马路上已响起了震耳欲聋的鞭炮声，噼哩啪啦的就像在锅里炒芝麻似的接连不断。啪啪啪的焰火声就像北京天安门举行盛大的庆祝会似的，穿过了大街小巷，高楼大厦，把漆黑的夜晚照着得如同白昼，到处洋溢着一派喜气洋洋的景象。

等候多时的我，妹妹和爸爸妈妈也急急忙忙拿了鞭炮跑到楼下去放。爸爸兴冲冲地点燃了焰火。一下子，烟花腾空而起，放出五颜六色的花朵，传出阵阵悦耳的声音，好像百鸟在为欢庆的节日唱赞美的歌。我们注视着如同白昼的天空，欢呼着，幸福之花开在我们每个人的心中。

高兴之余，爸爸的脸突然阴沉下来。令我和妹妹疑惑不解。容不得我们多想，爸爸就拉开了话匣：“现在的日子真是天堂的日子啊!”爸爸突然冒出这么一句话，使我们更加百思不得其解，急忙追问：“爸爸，什么天堂的日子啊?”“孩子，你们是不了解的呀!过去我们这些老百姓可苦啦!不要说放鞭炮烟花，就连饭菜都没有得吃。”

“你们看到今天年夜饭桌子上的菜了嘛，多么丰盛。这要是在过去，想都不敢想啊!”爸爸点着了一支烟，吸了一口，语重心长地对我们说：“你们这些小孩现在简直是掉进了蜜罐里，什么没有得吃，什么没有的玩呀!过年出去拜年，餐桌上是‘三层楼’啊，红包里最少也有100元!特别是近几年，改革开放，生活水平提高了，餐桌上的变化更大，连天鹅肉都能吃到。人们的业余生活丰富多彩，那些新出来的娱乐活动，我们这一辈的都叫不出名来。你们要珍惜今天的幸福生活啊!”

是啊，现在人民的生活水平的确是提高了不少。这一切，全靠党的富民政策好，全靠党的领导好啊!

今年的除夕之夜，我们贴对联、挂年画、放焰火、看电视，尽管是忙了一点，但称得上是丰富多彩，使我在忙碌之中学会了许多。而最使我难忘的还是“听回忆”，爸爸的一席话使我对过去了解了许多……
