记得有一次，爸爸妈妈不在家。我见天色已晚，于是就做起饭来了。

Remember once, mom and dad are not at home. I saw it was getting late, so I started cooking.

可能是上天帮助我，冰箱里正好有我的拿手好戏：西红柿、冬瓜和排骨。我先拿出一把菜刀和几个西红柿。我把西红柿放在切板上，费了“九牛二虎之力”才把这几个西红柿切成大小不等的“西红柿片”。我把这些西红柿放在盘子里，摆成花形，再撒上糖，多像一个小孩子灿烂的笑脸呀！

May God help me, the refrigerator is my masterpiece: tomatoes, melon and pork ribs. First I took out a kitchen knife and some tomatoes. I put the tomato on the cutting board, had a "tremendous effort" to put a few tomatoes into tomato slices of different sizes "". I put these tomatoes on the plate, put them into flower shapes, and then sprinkle them with sugar, just like a little childs bright smile!

接下来是炖冬瓜排骨汤。我把冬瓜切成片，把排骨切成个，就放下锅去炖了，大约过了30分钟，汤炖好了。我尝了一口中，真好喝！真是太棒了！

Followed by stewed winter melon and spareribs soup. I cut the melon into pieces and cut the spareribs into pieces. Then I put the pot down and simmered. It took about 30 minutes for the soup to simmer. I tasted it, it was really good! That was a great.

我把这两道菜放在桌上，静静的等待他们回来。过了10分钟，爸爸妈妈回家了，见了桌上的饭菜，连忙夸我是个好孩子。

I put the two dishes on the table and waited for them to come back. After 10 minutes, my father and mother went home, saw the food on the table and hastened to praise me as a good boy.

这就是发生在我成长中的一件平凡的事，它让我们的自理能力增强了，为父母减轻了许多负担，让他们觉得我长大了。

This is a common thing that happened during my growing up. It strengthened our self-care ability and lightened many burdens for parents, so that they thought I grew up.

Nowadays, with the development of computer, the function of computer has developed, too. We can use computer to check the instant news, make friend and so on. The reason why so many people addict to computer is that they like to play the computer games, there are all kinds of computer games, everyone can find a game which is suitable to him. Too much involve in the computer games is wasting time, we should control our habit. First, we must set the limit time on it, wed better not to play the game over an hour. We have to tell ourselves that we must stop playing when the time is up, we have another thing to do. Second, we should go out with friends often, so we can communicate with others, it makes our mind not focus on the computer games. I am not saying we should not play computer games, but we should not addict to it.

Making a trip to Beidaihe on May 18 was an experience which I will never

forget.

A arrived in Beidaihe at about 2 oclock,and immediately took a No.5 bus to

the sea area.The beautiful blue sea was so large that I couldnt see the other

side of it.After getting off the bus,I went straight to the shore.Taking off my

shoes,I put my feet into the water.The water was cool,and walking in the water

was such a great joy that I didnt want to stop.Then I collected shells.When it

got dark,I sat on the shore,watching the sea.The night scene was simply

marvelous!

Finally I had to go back.It was an unforgettable day in my life.

正所谓：天将降大任于是人也，必先苦其心志，劳其筋骨、饿其体肤、空乏其身，行拂乱其所为。

在这个世界上，每一个人都得经历各种挫折、伤痛、失败。而众人殊不知挫折乃是成功之母。那是因为我们能够在挫折中吸取经验。

试问一句，在这个世界上，有哪一位成功人士没有遭遇过挫败？肯定没有。例如古代西方国家的一位伟大发明家———爱迪生。他小时候并不聪明，而且还很调皮捣蛋。他被送到学校里上课三个月后便被校方开除了。

从小，爱迪生就是一个好奇心重的孩子。他对身边的一切事物感到好奇，就此爱问‘为什么’。所以，他常在上课时提出一些不寻常的问题而导致老师们对爱迪生的‘过度’好奇心感到厌恶。老师们认为他是在搞杂上课的次序，所以索性把他开除了。

虽然如此，爱迪生的母亲反而觉得儿子具有一种与众不同的潜质，并暗自发誓要把儿子教育成才。爱迪生的母亲是个有智慧的妇女，曾经在乡下的一所学校里教授学生。她开始设定儿子的学习计划，教导他认识文学、科学、艺术、物理和数学等等的知识。

不久，爱迪生就学会认字。接着，他就开始捧起英国天才剧作家，莎士比亚的的古典创作，对它爱不释手。随着年龄不断增长，他再深入一层地阅读与研究一些关于物理和科学实验的书籍。

后来由于家境贫困，12岁的爱迪生便在火车上当报童以帮补家用。不管生活有多么艰难，他依然坚持信念，不断地寻找新知识、做实验。

到了1869年，爱迪生来到纽约找到了一份管理电报机的工作。不久，他就发明了一种新式电报机。他新发明的电报机极大促进了现代电报业的发展。‘青年发明家爱迪生’的美名也传遍全国。

爱迪生经历过各种挫折后，终于成功了！生命中的每个挫折、每个伤痛、每个打击，都有它的意义存在，只是在于我们如何看待它，面对它，处理它。要记住，挫折是每个人最好的礼物。

我们应该勇敢地接受和面对挫折，自己跌倒自己爬，迈向成功的道路！
