Since I went to college, I have made many friends and we shared the same

interest. My friends and I liked traveling so much. We decided to travel abroad.

The destination was Thailand. We spent ten days there and had a nice trip. It

was such an unforgettable trip, and I learned a lot.

Firstly, it was my first time to travel abroad. My friends and I had made

many preparations. We read the travel guide and chose the information that was

useful to us. I classified the information and wrote down tourist sites. During

the trip, I become much independent. Sometimes I even walked down the foreign

Currently,my school is launching an activity whose theme is that actions change the world to advocate the low carbon living.

My mom used to say that I was born to swim. But the truth is that I didn t know how to swim until the last year of my primary school!

Mom always said that I could swim in the basin when I was only two months old. I was surprised at the amazing fact. If this was true, then why was I afraid of water? I went to swim every summer, but I didn t make a little progress. I was worried and blamed myself several times. When I watched people swimming freely, how I wished I had learnt to swim!

The story of how I learnt to swim is dramatic. One hot summer afternoon, my father and I went to the swimming pool to swim. Zeng Qiao is one of my friends. She is a beautiful, outgoing and good-tempered girl. She smiles frequently. I think it’s her smile that makes her beauty. We live in the same dormitory, so that we always stay together, no matter going to classroom or having dinners. At first, I don’t like her very much, because she is always talking. It seems that she can’t stop open her mouth. I am a little bit quiet and introverted, so I seldom talk to others. But gradually, I find that she can have influence on others by what she says. Zeng Qiao likes sharing interesting things with others. For example, she likes telling us her funny stories of her childhood or her former classmates. She always tells me that I should be more extroverted and learn to talk to others. Under the influence of her, I communicate with others more frequently and I find that it feels so great. I am so grateful that I can have such a good friend.

My Family

My name is Li Hua. I am from a workers family. There are six people in my

family. They are my grandfather, my grandmother, my father, my mother, my sister

and I.

Every member in my family works for his or her own trade①. My grandfather

and grandmother are peasants. They do farm work every day in my hometown. My

father is a senior engineer. He is now working in Africa, helping to build a

power station. My mother is a teacher. She teaches English in a middle school.

My sister, five years older than I, is a doctor in the Peoples Hospital of our

county. She loves her work and does it well. I am a middle school student. And I

am going to take this years college entrance examination. I wish that I could

be enrolled② by a famous university.

That is my family. All the members in my family live in harmony③. We love

each other devotedly.

我能改变些什么呢？那只有无奈，如今又是月考，如往常一般，尽着自己最大的努力，完成一张张的试卷。可是，那鲜红让人刺眼的分数也如往常一样深深刺痛着我的心。我的心在流血，最后碎了，我努力拾起，拼凑，可是还是回复不了原来的样子。我原以为我紧紧抓住时间不放手，努力就能够走好这场旅行，到后来我发现我错了，原来抓住的不是时间，而是一场场的悲剧。

尘埃落定，我旅行的终点注定是失败？难道就此停止？不可能，终点还在远方，这只是路旁的小站罢了。重拾包袱，安抚受伤的心，带上坚强的心，再次出发，远处的风景一定很美。拼搏，就算在苦我也不能倒下，就算是遍体鳞伤我也不能放弃。蝴蝶破茧后的美丽，凤凰涅槃后的重生，不经一番彻骨寒，怎得梅花扑鼻香。倒下只是弱者的做法罢了，只有守着坚强的心；不屈，才能到达旅途的终点。多少次的摔倒，多少次站起，为这旅行的终点都没有趴下去，为这心中的梦想，不弃。

时光总是悄然而逝，2018不远不近，像是遥不可及，又像是近在咫尺。旅途的终点就在那，带上坚强的心去旅行，不管前路有何荆棘，总是能过跨过的。

that there are big differences between us and the old generation. We always
