一.名词

写作中，学生们常把握不好名词的数、所有格以及一些集合名词的用法。

1.Hegavemeaverygoodadviceyesterday.

句中的a要去掉，因为advice是不可数名词。一些汉语概念为可数的词在英语中却是不可数的，表示数量时在要其前加apieceof，类似的词有：news,bread,work,paper,chalk,furniture,information等等。

2.Thatgirllovesreadingbook.

可数名词单数不能孤零零地放在句子里，或前面加冠词，或将其变为复数。此处最好变为books.

3.Hewentintoabooksshopandboughtadictionary.

一般表示有生命的东西的名词的所有格用’s，如mymother’scar,而此处适宜用名词修饰名词，改为abookshop.

4.MyfamilyiswatchingTV.

一些集合名词如看成一个整体，则用单数的谓语动词，如Myfamilyisahappyone.如果强调集合中每个个体的个人行为，则用复数的谓语动词。此处看电视是个体行为，应把is改为are。类似的词有：team,class,audience等。

5.Iboughtsomepotatosandtomatosatthesupermarket.

中学阶段，以“o”结尾的名词中有四个词变复数时要加es，它们是tomato,potato,Negro,hero;其余的都加s变为复数。

6.Thishasnothingtodowiththeirbelieves.（这和他们的信仰没关系。）

以f,fe结尾的词变为复数时一般去f,fe加ves，如knife—knives,

thief—thieves;而roof和belief直接加s变为复数。所以应把believes改为beliefs.

二.冠词

7.Thebosswantstohireanusefulperson.

用a还是an，取决于后面单词音标中的第一个音，如为元音用an，为辅音用a。useful的第一个音是辅音所以应把an改为a。类似的，我们说aEuropeancountry.

8.Planeisamachinethatcanfly.

plane为可数名词单数，不能单独放在句中，应在其前加冠词或把它变为复数，而本句后有amachine,因此只能在其前面加a，变为Aplane。

9.Heplayedapianoatthepartyyesterday.

把a改为the，因为乐器前用定冠词。

10.Themachinewasinventedin1920s.

在in后加the，因为表示年代用in加the再加几十的复数，如在八十年代inthe80s。

11.XiaoHongwenttoschoolbythebuseveryday.

去掉the，因为表示交通方式用by直接加交通工具。

三.代词

使用代词时请注意其单、复数，主、宾格以及形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词的用法。

12.Heisoneofthosespeakerswhomakehisideasperfectlyclear.

定语从句的先行词是thosespeakers，为复数，因此从句中的指示代词应为复数，应把his改为their。

13.Whomdoyouthinkhasleftthelightson?

放在疑问句特殊疑问词后的doyouthink/believe/guess/imagine/suppose等都不参与句子成分。本句中去掉doyouthink后缺的是主语，应把Whom改为Who。

14.ThebosspretendednottoseeJohnandI.

John和I在句中都做的宾语，应把I改为me。

15.Thesebooksaremine；thoseinthebagareher.

her是形容词性物主代词，后面应该加名词books，或把her改为hers。

四.数词

16.Therearefourteenhundredsstudentsinourschool.

hundred/thousand/million/score/dozen等词前有具体数字时后不加s，前面没有具体数字时在其后加s和of，表示大约几百几千的概念。如two

hundredstudents（两百个学生），hundredsofstudents（成百上千个学生）。例句中应把hundreds改为hundred。

17.Theirschoolistwiceaslargerasourschool.

表倍数关系的as...as中间只能用形容词或副词的原级。因此应把larger改为large.

18.Today’shomeworkisafive-hundred-wordscomposition.

几个单词由连字符连接而组成的复合形容词中的名词只能用单数，所以把five-hundred-words改为five-hundred-word.

19.TwothirdofthestudentsinourschoolarefromAmerica.

英语表达中分数的分子用基数词，分母用序数词，分子大于一时分母后要加s，所以就把third改为thirds.

五.形容词和副词

形容词和副词容易被误用，形容词和副词的比较级和最高级也是应注意的重点。

20.Thepatientappearednervouslywhenhetalkedtothedoctor.

appear在此是个系动词，其后应接形容词作表语。所以应把nervously改为nervous.

21.Theartistworkedhardlytofinishhisdrawingsontime.

此句需要一个副词来修饰，hardly是副词，但意为“几乎不”，hard也可以是副词，表努力，因此把hardly改为hard.

22.Thisshirtismorecheaperthanthatone.

more只构成比较级，而不能修饰比较级。因此把more去掉。

23.Heisthemostsuccessfulofthetwobusinessmen.

两者相比较时，比较级前用定冠词，三者或三者以上才用most，因此把most改为more.

24.Heworkslessharderthanheusedto.

表不如?...时用less加上形容词和副词的原级，因此把harder改为hard.

25.Thebookisfairlymoreinterestingthanthatone.

fairly只能修饰形容词和副词的原级，可以修饰比较级的副词或短语有：much,even,still,far,alot,alittle,abit,any,no,byfar,rather等，因此把fairly改为rather.

26.Thisisasaninterestingastoryastheoneinthemagazine.

as?as中间的词序是as加上形容词加上a(n)加上名词再加上as，因此应改为asinterestingastoryastheone.

27.Theweatherhereisnicerthan.

同样的事物才能相比较，weather和不具有可比性，因此应改为Theweatherhereisnicerthanthatof.

29.Iwouldrathertakeatrainthanwentbybus.

这个词组为wouldratherdo?thando?，因此把went改为go.

30.Isthereinterestinganythingatthemeeting?

修饰anything,something,everything,nothing的形容词都要放在它们的后面。

31.Ineverhaveseensuchapersonbefore.

像never之类的副词在句中应放在be动词、助动词之后，实意动词之前。因为应改为Ihaveneverseensuchapersonbefore.

32.Thebookisworthtoberead.

beworthdoing意为值得被做。因此改为Thebookisworthreading.

33.Itissurethathewillsucceed.

sure的主语只能为人，而certain的主语可为人和物。因此把sure改为certain.

34.Heisregardedasoneofthebestalivewritersatpresent.

alive为表语形容词，偶尔也做后置定语。因此把alive改为living，或把alive放在writers后面。

35.Idon’tknowthathehasfinishedtheworkyet.

yet用于否定和疑问句，already用于肯定句。把yet改为already.

nearly不与否定词用在同一个句子中，而almost可以。因此把nearly改为almost。

六.介词

by加上名词表示一种交通方式，中间什么都不加，如bycar,bybus,byplane等；如果名词前有其他的词修饰，则应用除by以外的其他介词，此处把by改为in.

wait为不及物动词，需加介词for后才能再跟名词或代词做宾语。

39.HehasbeenmarriedwithBettyformorethantwentyyears.

marry不跟with连用，应把with改为to。

还依稀记得杭州，那片天堂。那年，你初到杭州，那是一个芦苇丛生，破落至极的杭州，你看到了那曾经辉煌一时的城市，如今没有了人们的保护与修缮，已经变得岌岌可危。于是，你下令修缮钱塘，疏通西湖，打出水井，以便应对洪水，于是，在碧波荡漾的西湖上，没有了杂草丛生的情境，取而代之的是一道道劳动的身影，你站在泥塘中，弯下你那高贵的腰，努力地工作着……烂泥塘里，载着的是西湖的水，更是中华的文明，而你，像是一个辛勤的劳动者，播种着中华的文明，更像是一个英雄，谱写着中华的史诗。

西天，一轮红日渐沉，西湖岸边，微风轻抚大地，你那伟岸的身影，立在大堤上，像英雄，却又飘逸洒脱，你没有多说什么，只是望着那碧波荡漾的西湖。也没有刻意的留下一些诗句，只是浅浅的一句“水光潋滟晴方好，山色空蒙雨亦奇”，把那最美的景象留给了后人，而自己，在掩映水草的西湖间，用山川、湖水描绘着磅礴的文明画卷。

千年以后，行至西湖，远远望去，只是一条冗长的苏堤，在荷风柳浪间，显得格外飘渺，格外清新，在这里，我遇见了一个英雄，他留下了一片辉煌，留下了一段岁月，自己，却在夕阳中浅笑，他是那样潇洒，那样飘逸，像山间的一股清泉，又似广阔无尽的大海。

岁月，飞快逝去，滚滚长江，东逝了多少英雄，但是，英雄注定不凡，而你，也注定在历史中留下浓墨重彩的一笔。那时，你正风华年少，可是，因为你的才华横溢，却引来了小人们的不满，于是，一场惊天大案，在你身上，悄然发生，几乎是一夜之间，你便从得意变成了失意，你那曾经最美的诗句，描绘的是大好河山，却变成了肮脏而不堪的字眼，面对来势汹汹的反对派，你没有多说，不愿家人受到牵连，便将一切罪责担到己身。反对派更加嚣张，面对这样伟大的诗人，他们甚至不惜用上了鞭杖，鞭笞的是你的皮肉，是你的尊严，更是中华文明的那一身铮铮傲骨！一个才华横溢的诗人，竟沦落至此，还是子虚乌有的罪名，这是文化的哀鸣，这是文化的伤痛。

也许，就像你弟弟所说的一样：“东坡何罪？独以名太高！”这是多么悲怆的感慨。英雄，在时代中无法显现，而是被定罪，这是何等可笑的故事。为了表现对于舆论的支持，宋神宗毅然同意，放逐你。在这里，我遇见了悲伤的你，我遇上了一个穷途的英雄，那是你对于时代不公的不甘心，以及对于天下的愤怒，可是，你又能如何？

可悲，可惜！

但是，你是英雄，你依旧开朗，寄情于山水，在最失意的前往黄州的路上，只见你感叹“何夜无月，何处无竹柏，但少闲人如吾两人者尔”。

你，到了黄州，正所谓“天降斯人而于斯人之任也”，你的人生，就此转变。你的黄州，是历史的黄州，更是英雄的黄州。你到了文赤壁，血红的赤壁高耸着立在滔滔而不尽的江上，发出一阵阵震耳欲聋的声响，那里曾经发生过一场惊天地泣鬼神的决战，可是如今呢，万事皆成空，那样的历史，雄伟而悲怆的战争，就这样湮灭在了风雨中，不能再现当年的辉煌。纵然无敌一生，英明一世，建下了不朽的王朝，占据了中原的江山，平定了辽阔的北域，一统天下，但是，人只有一生，会衰败，也会死去，王朝也会衰落，也会灭亡，而天地间长存的，是默默的江山。你想到这里，眼里有些模糊了，不由的一阵悲哀，“大江东去浪淘尽，千古风流人物”便是最好的写照。在这里，我遇上了一个英雄，他壮志未稠，却无路可走，只好咏古叹今，这是一个时代的悲哀，更是一个英雄的悲哀。

遇见英雄，遇见你——苏东坡。你，在壮志中离去，你的愁，你的功绩，你的志向，都如同一首歌，深深地刻在我心中，留在了宏伟的历史中。

世间寂静无声，连天地都在为那个英雄，那个你而沉默，只有一片血红的戈壁，在滚滚长江边，纵然江水不停的翻涌，不停的怒号，戈壁俨然不动。一阵风呼啸而过，狠狠的擦在戈壁上，不停的轰鸣着，传来了一阵阵遥远的绝响。

In the past few decades, our Earth has changed a lot, but to the bad

direction. Among these changes, the air pollutions resulting from a huge number

of automobiles and coal-burning is almost the severest. The severe air pollution

alarms humans of the heavy load we have exerted on Earth by our insatiable

production and usage of automobiles. However, with the deepening of

urbanization, more cars are needed, which will make the air pollution worse.

Therefore, the following actions should be taken. First, we should apply the

most cutting-edge technologies in order to adopt new forms of energy as

substitutes for fossil fuels. Second, try hard to develop possible

transportation means, which are enviromental friendly. So that the citizens can

reduce the dependence on cars. In short, our humans should take responsibilities

for the air pollution and have to find ways to solve this problem.

After I go to school, teachers always tell me to study hard, so that I can

be the excellent student. But now I have grown up, I have my own idea. The

reason for me to study hard is to return my parents’ love. When they are old, I

can make a lot of money and let them have a better life.
