Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. 寒假的一天

It was a very busy evening, I was doing my homework at my home. My father

was writing a composition in the study room. My mother was interested in

My name is Simon. Im 24 years old now. Im from Changsha University. I

major in English, because I have the gift for language study.

In my opinion, English is well-known all around the world. If I can speak

excellent English, I could travel to everywhere in the world without language

barriers. Now I can speak English like an American. Most of my classmates always

envy my oral English.

I like traveling very much. Through traveling, I can widen my perspective

and know more about our world. Now I have been to so many cities, such as

Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Zhongshan. These cities are nice, clean and modern.

I think Im easy-going and hard-working. When Im at work, I always try my

best to do everything well. I never let others do anything that I can do, and I

never put off todays work to tomorrow. When you have difficulties, I’m eager to

give you a hand if Im able to. I hope I can be your best friend.

交通安全关乎生命，生命没有彩排。全国每年有10万的人死于车祸，每六分钟就有一人死于交通事故。当屏幕上一个个小视频中播放着发生在我们附近的一起起的车祸，当一条条鲜活的生命消失在车轮下时，内心久久无法平静。

车祸，让很多的家庭支离破碎，让幸福在车祸中断送。很多肇事司机在一失足间铸就了千古恨。触目惊心的数字，不计其数的亲人就在车祸的转眼间中沉醉在悲痛当中。当因超速超载而引出的惨痛的车祸;当想象他们丧失亲人时那悲痛欲尽的情形，谁还会感受不到生命的宝贵无处不在?超速行驶疏忽法律法规的要求结果酿成了大祸，酒后驾车，害人又害己，所以我们要远离车祸。《钢铁是怎样炼成的》中的保尔有这样一句发自内心的感想：人最宝贵的是生命，生命对于每个人只有一次。就像流浪地球中说的：道路千万条，安全第一条，行车不规范，亲人两行泪。让我们一起呼吁：遵守交通规则，珍爱生命，远离车祸。
