折衷式又叫新华体。此种写作方式为「倒金字塔式」、「正金字塔式」的折衷，亦即，新闻中最重要的讯息仍然在导言中呈现，接著，则依新闻的时间性或逻辑性叙述。我们国家的新闻报道一般是遵循时间顺序，但是这种“讲故事”的写法已经不适合受众的阅读习惯(一般人没有时间听你讲长篇大论)，所以“新华体”在吸收中外新闻报道之长的情况下诞生了。
