从“小年夜”到除夕，春节踏着农历12月24日零时的钟声，走入桂林的城乡。这天是桂林人的“小年夜”，也就是“过小年”。过小年这天，人们宰狗、杀鸭，庆贺春节来临。这天的爆竹声，带着人们送灶王爷“上天言好事”的心愿噼哩啪啦地炸响，声传高宇。人们认为灶神是一家之主，一家的善恶功过祸福都由它掌管，所以每年将尽，都要送灶神上天向玉帝奏明，为全家降福免灾。祭灶的仪式多由家里的长辈去办，他们将糖果放在灶头祭祀灶神，祈求灶神“上天言好事，下凡降吉祥”。用糖果祭灶神，目的是让糖“粘住”灶神的嘴巴，让他甜甜的嘴巴尽说好话。除夕夜幕降临后，再放爆竹接灶王爷下凡。这是桂林“过小年”的古俗，现在即便是鸣放鞭炮，也仅是古俗遗存的仪式罢了。

每年春节都许多传统的春节习俗，比如贴春联，吃年夜饭，拜年给压岁钱……而每年最难忘的春节习俗应就是扫尘了，按民间的说法：因“尘”与“陈”谐音，新春扫尘有“除陈布新”的涵义，其用意是要把一切穷运、晦气统统扫出门。这一习俗寄托着人们破旧立新的愿望和辞旧迎新的祈求。每逢春节来临，每家每户都要打扫环境，清洗各种器具，拆洗被褥窗帘，洒扫六闾庭院，掸拂尘垢蛛网，疏浚明渠暗沟。到处洋溢着欢欢喜喜搞卫生、干干净净迎新春的欢乐气氛。

这次，我和老爸“光荣”地领到了擦玻璃的任务。我们家住在4楼，我一站上窗台，立刻吓得浑身哆嗦，我看了看下面，一派“万丈深渊”的景象。但是，事情总是要干的，我连忙和老爸商量了一下，他来擦“风险极大”的外面，而我，则擦我力所能及的里面。

开始擦了，我先用沾过洗洁精的抹布擦窗户的内侧，但是，由于一年没擦了，窗户的边边角角已经积了一层灰尘，我先用手指尖套着抹布，从窗户的四周边缘用力地抠了一圈，紧接着，我把那块布洗干净，再沾上一点洗洁精，开始对窗户“发起进攻”。

我用那块湿布轻轻地擦着窗户，等到窗子上有了一点洗洁精痕迹时，我拿来一块干净的干布，一小块一小块慢慢地擦拭着窗户上的污点，但是，一块又一块的污点向我“俯首称臣”了，唯独这几块污垢还是在窗户上，做起了“山大王”，仿佛在对我说：“哼！就你这个小孩，还想来拿下我，没门！”我不服气了，又抹上了一些洗洁精水，再用干布用力地擦，但是，这么几块顽固的污点就是不下来，我急坏了，这时，爸爸走了过来，对我说：“不要这么费力，这时，爸爸窗户上抹了一些洗洁精水，再用指甲轻轻一刮，那些顽固的污垢个个“举手投降”了。

后面，在我和爸爸的共同努力下，一面面窗户又干净得类似新的一样。这时，妈妈在屋子里的卫生也打扫完了，旧的也“辞”完了。望着焕然一新的房子，我仿佛看到了明年，我们每个人的运势都写着“胜利”。

每到端午节这一天，我们一家人都会分工合作，爸爸负责买材料，我负责洗粽叶，包粽子

首先，我们先拿出以下的材料：粽叶、芦苇草和炒好的瘦肉、香菇、虾仁等。然后我开始了我的工作，先把粽叶放入水中清洗干净，放到一旁，再把包粽子

端午节下午，吃完美味的粽子后，爸爸带我到佛昙镇看赛龙舟

比赛快开始了，随着鞭炮声响起，来自各个村的十二条龙舟，一字排开。你瞧，那些龙舟一艘艘威风凛凛，像一个个守卫边疆的战士。每条龙舟都有一个负责吹哨子和打鼓的指挥员，负责划龙舟的是十四个人，每条船总人数为十五个。各个队伍分别穿着不同颜色的队服，红色、蓝色、绿色等，队伍名称也以衣服颜色来命名为红队、蓝队等。他们每个人头上都绑着红布，上面写着两个苍劲有力的黄色大字——“奋斗”。

比赛开始了，十二支龙舟队伍严阵以待，裁判员一声令下，十二条龙舟像离弦的箭射了出去。各支队伍使出看家本领，队员间团结协作，动作整齐划一，娴熟奋力地向前划去。顿时人声鼎沸，有的喊：“蓝队加油!”有的喊：“红队加油!”喊声惊天动地，每个村都希望自己能赢。一艘艘龙舟迎着汹涌的浪花，在河面上划出一条条长长的波纹，都不甘示弱地你追我赶。

比赛如火如荼地进行着。突然，有一条龙舟出现了状况，原本领先的蓝队因为指挥员出了状况，指挥出错，打乱了队员们的划船节奏，他们手忙脚乱，还差点翻了船，四周的观众一起发出了“啊”的惊叫声，都感到有点后怕呢。但这点小挫折并没有使蓝队失去信心，指挥员调整好心态，跟上节奏，奋力吹哨，加油打鼓，队员们再次迸发活力，团结一致地使劲向前划去!

激烈的比赛落下帷幕，蓝队因为永不言弃的团队精神一举夺冠。他们的精神使在场的观众既佩服又感动。

It was early in the morning. The sun was just creeping(爬) out of the eastern horizon(地平线)and golden red was penetrating (穿透) through the white clouds and across the sky. The lakes,the trees and the bamboos looked as if they were all gilded. The ground was covered withtender grass, on whose blades some dew drops were glistening(晶莹剔透) under the sunshine.

In the last century the wealthy man with his own library was indeed

fortunate, but today there are public libraries.

Forty years ago people used to flock to the cinema, but now far more people

sit at home and turn on the TV to watch a program that is being channeled into

millions of homes.

Communication is no longer merely concerned with the transmission of

information.

The modern communication industry influences the way people live in society

and broadens their horizons by allowing access to information, education and

entertainment.

The printing, broadcasting and advertising industries are all involved with

informing, educating and entertaining.

Although a great deal of the material communicated by the mass media is

very valuable to the individual and to the society of which he is a part, the

vast modern network of communications is open to abuse.

However, the mass media are with us for better, for worse, and there is no

turning back.

Chinese New Year starts with the New Moon（新月）on the first day of the new year and ends on the full moon（满月）15 days later. The 15th day of the new year is called the Lantern Festival（元宵节）, which is celebrated at night with lantern displays and children carrying lanterns in a parade.?

The Chinese calendar is based on a combination of lunar and solar movements. The lunar cycle（月运周期）is about 29.5 days. In order to "catch up" with the solar calendar the Chinese an extra month once every few years (seven years out of a 19-yearcycle). This is the same as adding an extra day on leap year （闰年）. This is why, according to the solar calendar, the Chinese New Year falls on a different date each year.

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are celebrated as a family affair, a time of reunion and thanksgiving. The celebration was traditionally highlighted with a religious ceremony given in honor of Heaven and Earth（万物）, the gods of the household and the family ancestors.?

The sacrifice to the ancestors, the most vital of all the rituals（仪式）, united the living members with those who had passed away. Departed relatives are remembered with great respect because they were responsible for laying the foundations for the fortune and glory of the family.?

The presence of the ancestors is acknowledged on New Year’s Eve with a dinner arranged for them at the family banquet table. The spirits of the ancestors, together with the living, celebrate the onset of the New Year as one great community. The communal feast called "surrounding the stove" or Weilu. It symbolizes family unity and honors the past and present generations.

开学之初，我给我的的学习制定了一个计划。现在，我发现在过去的一个月我能够很好的实行。上个学期我的语文和英语很差，因此我把这两个科目作为我的首要任务并花很多时间在上面。很高兴的是，这学期我这两科取得了进步。此外，数学和物理对我来说不是很难，但是我必须多做练习来增加我的知识。每个科目花上半个小时是有必要的，我一直都是这样做的。其他的科目对我来说很容桂。只要我课堂上认真听课，课后复习我就能够把它们做好。但是，这也不意味着我不重视它们。我给我的学习制定计划以保证我的学习效率。

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China, the most exciting festival is once a year in. Its to celebrate the Lunar New Year holiday.

Every year on the evening before the Spring Festival, we are one family will get together and have a big meal. In many places people like to set off firecrackers. Dumplings are the most traditional foods. Children like the festival very much, because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes. They can also get some money from their parents. This money is given to children for good luck. People put New Year scrolls on the wall for good luck.

The Spring Festival lasts about 15 days long. People visit relatives and friends said " I wish you good luck ". People enjoy the Spring Festival, during this time they can have a good rest.

The night of November 12th, 2010 was indeed a glorious night for our Chines, because the Opening Ceremony of Asian Games was held on Haixinsha Island in Guangzhou. Over 7000 people took part in it.

All of the performances were impressive, but the most interesting one was Sail on Cloud. During that programme, 180 performers were hung in the air to dance. How wonderful it was! Every audience burst out praise. I couldn’t help shouting. But it was a pity that I just watched it from TV. How I wish I were there!

眼看着春节就要来了，我的心怦怦直跳，在度过了紧紧张张地腊月30日，终于迎来了20xx年的春节。对了，为什么要过年呢？下面就让我来告诉你吧！

从前，有一只大怪物，名字叫“年”，“年”在除夕那天总是会出现，并欺负一些人家。有一天，“年”又来了，许多家都受到了“年”的袭击，只有那些门上挂着红窗帘和门前生着火，十分热闹的几户人家没有受到袭击，应此人们知道了“年”就怕这三样东西，于是每到除夕人们便用这三样东西把这只大怪物赶走了，久而久之，便流传下来成了习俗。

记得大年三十的晚上，我们吃完了团圆饭，便和弟弟一起跑到了楼下的空地上放起鞭炮。其中我最喜欢的是老鼠炮。它一边飞一边还发出了“吱吱”地声音，好像在上天之际还想呼唤同伴一起去天上偷东西，把我们逗得笑死了。

放完了鞭炮，我就和亲戚朋友们一起看春节联欢晚会，那精彩的表演让我心情十分开朗，有相声、有小品、还有魔术……十分好看。比如那一个叫“我忍不了”的相声，这是讲一些不文明的事，然后那个人看了连声叫忍不了，可是他却以不文明的形势提醒别人，当时，把我们逗得哈哈大笑。

一个春节就这样过去了。

The traffic problem is one of themost serious problems in my hometown. Recently, more and more people have privatecar, but the roads are so narrow that we have to fight against the heavytraffic when we go out. Especially during the rush hours, cars and buses areunable to move. To make things worse, many people are killed in the trafficaccidents. How miserable it is!

For the sake of our life andsecurity, some measures must be taken to change the present situation. In thefirst place, as there are a great many cars, we should control the number ofprivate cars and vehicles and use the public transportation more often.Secondly, the government should widen the roads and build more flyovers, so asto ease the traffic pressure and reduce the traffic accidents. In addition, theundergrounds and light rails should be constructed, so that we can have morechoices when going out and do not have to worry about the traffic jams in thefuture.
