Last March, my mother told my father and me that my grandfather would come

in April. We were very happy because my grandfather was an interesting old man

and he had not visited us since he went to Hong Kong.

On April 1 my father and I bought a lot of food from the supermarket and

bought a big bunch of flowers home. Then we did some cleaning at home. At night

when we were waiting for my grandfather, the bell rang and in came my mother.

She smiled to us and said "April fools"!

Recently, I have been reading a book named Communication Arts. In this

book, the author Doctor Li introduces many methods to communicate with others

successfully and tells readers why everyone should be a polite person. My

favorite sentence in this book is “Everyone has potential, and everyone can

determine your own future by developing positive psychological, mastering

communication arts and showing your personality charm. In that way, you can have

a wonderful life!”

During whole sections, this book tells us human should live in a large

group, since people can’t solve all problems by their own. For that matter,

human beings should learn a series of manners to deal with any situation which

might happen wherever and whenever. After that, Doctor Li makes a point that

people need to realize how to resolve disagreements between friends, families or

colleagues. There always appears this kind of situation in social life, so it’s

important to understand how to settle it. Finally he teaches us that

communication techniques not only reflect in normal talk but also within body

languages.

In each part of the book, the author takes a large number of examples in

daily life to confirm his points. These examples in daily life are easy to

understand and accept.

After reading the book, I find many shortages of my communication skills. I

used to lack of patience when I talk to others, even got mad at them. This was

impolite and might destroy relationships between my friends and me. Therefore I

would try my best to improve myself and be welcome.

Today, I go to school with a headache. At the beginning, it is just a

slightly pain. Nevertheless, it is not until the English lesson that my head

pains heavily. So it is difficult for me to take notes. Luckily, my English

teacher notices it so she takes me to the office. With a big smile on her face

and caring words, she gives me a glass of water. To my surprise, she offers to

help me notes. It is her love that warms me up. At that moment, I whisper myself

最美的是“七彩蝴蝶”，只听三声响，五彩的“蝴蝶”冲向天空，各彩各色交错在一起，就像一位位美丽仙女在天空中撒落着花瓣。我迫不及待开始放烟花。我拿着烟花棒上下左右不停的摇晃着，有时摇成一条龙，蜿蜒浮动着;有时摇成一个个美丽的花环，熠熠闪光;有时摇成飞流直下的瀑布，那飞沫激荡四射……五彩缤纷的烟花，满面红光的神采，这不是一幅美丽的图画么?

欢声辞旧岁，笑语迎新年，新的一年我们播种新的希望，新的一年承载我们新的梦想!过大年真好，我爱我的节日春节!

我的家乡在江苏北部，离杭州有500公里左右，我们家乡的春节习俗与杭州有些不同。其中之一是贴春联。人们在除夕那天就会拿出毛笔墨水红纸，各显神通，写出一张张漂亮的春联，贴在门上。有的人家不会写，就到集市上去买别人写好的，或者请别人帮忙写。远远看去，家家户户都显得喜气洋洋。这标志着春节的到来。

北方人春节时要吃饺子，饺子里面一般放的是白菜、韭菜、粉丝、豆腐，外面是小麦面皮。以前有的人家会在其中的一个饺子或几个饺子中放一枚铜钱，吃到这枚铜钱的人将会发财。后来因为人们觉得这样做太脏了，现在这种风俗已经慢慢取消了，不过也有一些人会在里面放一个金橘代替铜钱。

人们会提前一个星期，高峰时期甚至会提前一个月，预购好飞机票或火车票，也有一些离家近的人会搭乘长途汽车回家，或者开私家车回家。

人们还会互相给红包。六十六元，代表着六六大顺。也有给八百八十八元的，代表着发发发。现在人们都是成百上千的给，才不管这些呢。

人们要放鞭炮，鞭炮种类可多了。有普通的红鞭炮，点上火就可以爆炸：有儿童们喜欢的“摔摔炮”，用力向地上扔就可以爆炸；有拿在手里就可喷出去的小烟花；还有捏一下，并快速地扔出去就可以爆炸的小“手榴弹”。

民谚称“腊月二十四，掸尘扫房子”。扫尘就是年终大扫除，北方称“扫房”。在春节前扫尘，是中国人民素有的传统习惯。扫尘那天，全家上下齐动手，打扫房屋、庭院，擦洗锅碗、拆洗被褥，干干净净地迎接新年。其实，人们是借助"尘"与"陈"的谐音表达除陈、除旧的意思。

虽然人在杭州，但过的是北方的春节。
