Myhometownlies on the Plain of North China. The famous Grand Canal of

China is to the east of our village. This is the place where my forefathers have

lived for generations. When I was a boy I often played with other children near

the bank of the canal. I watched the passing boats, and I wished to travel all

over the world.

There are about 800 people in our village. A pond, teeming with fish, lies

in front of the village. I used to swim there in summer and skate in winter. It

was in this pond that I spent the happiest days of my childhood.

To the north of our village are great fields. When spring comes, the crops

begin to grow, turning the fields green. When crops turn yellow in autumn, the

peasants start to harvest them.

The majority of the villagers have become much better off. About a quarter

Almost every kid will be asked the question of whom do you like better,

your mother or your father. There is no doubt that mother is very great as she

gives you the life, while father is also of importance. Father’s Day is invented

I had a joyful summer vacation. During the holidays, I traveled with my

Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. computer, and cellphone. These new technologies make our life much easier and

First, the development of computer changes our life. Decades ago, people

needed to do lots of complex calculation on hand because they did not have

computer, and more obvious, they did not have the software for calculation. As

solve in just a minute. Since the development of computer, people are able to

This years Mid-Autumn festival, we can be noisy in the home, her aunt with

Nowadays, environmental pollution is very common. Resource waste is also

seen everywhere. In order to protect the environment, to protect our earth, we

need to live a low-carbon life. I usually go to school on foot, sometimes by

bike. If I need to go to the other city, I will choose the public transportation

and not ask my parents drive me there. If I am the last one to leave classroom
