故事主要写了冉阿让经历了许多常人难以想象的悲惨命运，在他尝遍人间的黑暗，准备报复时，一个主教以宽大、仁慈深深感化了冉阿让，给了他无限的希望，使他彻底悔悟，开始了新的生活。从此冉阿让乐于助人，见义勇为，得到了人民的爱戴。

这一切使我感动之余又不失疑惑，从囚犯到市长，这简直是天壤之别，然而就是在主教那无私的爱中，这一切都变成了事实。只要人人都献出一点爱，世界就会变成美好的人间。是啊!如果每个人都充满爱心的话，那世界不就会变得很美丽吗?

想着想着，我脑海里浮现出了这样一个人：一家英国著名杂志社的主编，小时候家境贫寒。有一天在回家的路上，他突然发现书店里有一本摊开的书，于是便透过玻璃读了起来。第二天，他又惊奇地发现那本书又往后翻了一页，于是他又迫不及待地读起来。这时，一个老人走出书店，笑呵呵地对他说：我是这家店的老板，孩子，如果你想读书，可以进来读，这里所有的书你都可以免费翻阅。从此，这位孩子每天都会走进书房读书。最后，他获得了成功。

试想下，如果那时没有这个老人的话，也许这个孩子就会在贫困中度过一生，没有任何作为，然而就是在他人生的困难处时，一个老人给予了他无限的爱，使他从困境中走了出来。这便是爱的伟大!

爱并不是虚情假意的谎言，它是实实在在的情感，只要仔细感受，你就会发现爱本就紧挨着你：它可能是清早母亲挤向你牙刷上的一寸牙膏，让你感受到温馨;它可能是陌生人的一把搀扶，让你体会到温暧;它可能是作业本里老师落下的一根白发，让你感悟到关爱;它可能就是一个微笑，让你理解到宽容和赞赏。在生活中，你有了这种感受，体会，感悟，理解，受到触动感染，激励鼓舞，你就会去掉冷漠，解除封闭，成为一个有爱心的人。

没错，爱是可以改变人的，我不禁又想到了这句话：大地上最有黑暗的阴影，可是对比起来，光明是较为强烈的。

Speaking of reading, many people are excited because reading brings them

both knowledge and entertainment. By reading, we can learn lots of information

and know our history. But for some people, reading is not their priority. They

will choose to watch movies to have fun. However, I think people can benefit a

lot by reading.

First of all, reading can let us know what have happened in history. Since

history is recorded in books, if we read books, then we can not only what have

happened in history but also we can better understand the great figures of the

age.

Secondly, reading can enrich our knowledge. By reading, we can know

different kinds of things, how things happen and how to avoid bad things from

happening. Books record a wide range of things about life. Through reading, we

can know various aspects of life.

Thirdly, reading teaches us skills. There are so many books about how to

learn a certain language, how to get a good job, how to become popular in your

circle, how to cook and so on. Thus, these kinds of books can make us more

skillful if we do a certain thing.

All in all, we can find lots of benefits through reading.

读完雨果的《悲惨世界》，我心中充满着对冉阿让的敬佩以及对统治者的分愤恨。当冉阿让走出围困他十九年的“地狱”后，他对这世界充满敌意。在大家怀疑他，厌恶他，酒馆不让他进，酒店亦不让他进，长途跋涉，饥渴难耐，无处可去时，是慈爱的米里艾主教救了他。善良的主教不仅给予他食物，还给他提供舒适的客房，甚至在他偷了银碟子准备逃跑时原谅了他，并赠给他一对贵重的银烛台，告诫他：“你的灵魂已被我洗净，你现在是个好人，不再是坏人了。”我终于也相信了，原来人是可以改变人的，正如米里艾主教以其宽大，仁慈的胸襟深深感化了冉阿让，让他彻底悔悟，开始新的生活，成为一个受人尊敬的市长-----马德兰。

还有可怜的女工-----芳汀，那样相信爱情却为爱情受伤，在那个年代未婚先孕是要被人唾弃的，为了让女儿过上好生活，她将女儿寄养在德纳第家中，殊不知这就是“索命的地狱”。德纳第夫妇总是以各种理由向她索取钱财，这个苦命的母亲总是以为女儿生活的很幸福，总是竭尽全力为女儿筹“生活费”，善良单纯的她为了女儿，不惜卖掉最宝贵的头发和牙齿，最后连生命都结束了，在临终前将女儿托付给了冉阿让。冉阿让把珂赛特当亲生女儿抚养，在冉阿让的细心呵护下，珂赛特逐渐成长，在长大后，偶然在卢森堡公园里邂逅了热情洋溢的青年马留斯，两人一见钟情。最终在经历千百挫折后，幸福生活在了一起。

沙威是统治阶级的忠实奴才和冷酷残忍的爪牙。这个铁石心肠的警察，不断迫害那些无家可归贫穷饥饿的人，一切对“社会秩序”构成威胁的人，他都要迫害。他残酷的迫害冉阿让多年，就像影子一样追踪着他。他也是造成芳汀死亡的直接罪人。然而，他却被道德所感化了。他被起义战士捉住，但冉阿让却放走了他。这时，他才顿悟冉阿让是个高尚的人，于是，他的思想根基开始动摇，“人性”开始复活，最终，跳下了塞纳河!在我看来，他的自杀就是善对恶的胜利。

其实这本书中给我印象最深的其实是德纳第夫妇的小女儿-----爱潘宁。这是一个单纯的女孩，正如同年龄的女孩一样，她喜欢并深爱着马留斯，但她深知父亲的罪恶，知道自己不可能和马留斯在一块，所以她一直默默地在马留斯背后帮助他，因此她给我印象最深。

其实每个人都可以成为像冉阿让那样的人，只要我们心怀善念，遵从内心，保持一份善心，那么我们都是这个世界上最善良的人!

我非常喜爱读历史书，历时能告诉我中华上下五千年有丰富的民俗，风气及朝代盛衰，做人的哲理，《四大名著》我读完了使我受益匪浅，比如《红楼梦》告诉人们心正不含杂念歪门邪道，曹雪芹的“一把辛酸泪，满纸荒唐言。都云作者痴，谁解其中味。”渺渺几字我觉得就包含的无穷的韵味，《水浒传》生动的人物性格，《三国演义》三顾茅庐、火烧赤壁等故事让我沉醉在书中不能自拔，被书的魅力所深深吸引，书就像一片汪洋大海等待我们去探索研究发现虽然有时会碰到大风大浪但是只要勇往直前我相信你会到达成功的彼岸。

缓缓合上这本书的最后一页，我的心似乎有一种无法抑制的悲痛在流淌，冉阿让永远的走了，却留下了他光辉圣洁的灵魂，回想起他一生走过的坎坷艰苦，不得不赞叹那是一部传奇——为偷一块面包，他服役9年，当他终于获得了自由，却不能被这个社会所接受，走投无路的他，遇上了好心的教主，冉阿让的一生由此而改变。

几年后的冉阿让发迹成了受人尊敬的马德兰市长，他不忘教主的仁慈和善良，常常对穷苦的人施以援手，没有人知道他的身份，然而命运却让他遇上了警探沙威……他再一次被捕，被戴上了终身监禁的帽子，但是命运嘲弄了他，他不顾再次戴上越狱的罪名，逃了出来，为的就是为了完成芳汀的遗愿，从德纳第手中救出处于水深火热中的小珂赛特……在法国革命的战场上，在枪林弹雨中救了珂赛特的情人马吕斯，在女儿有了归宿后，带着赎罪的爱与欣慰长眠。

当出狱后的冉阿让背负着囚犯的身份，饱受嫌弃鄙视。社会的不公与排斥，消弭了他重新做人，改过向善的信心。是宽大为怀的主教伸出慷慨的援助之手收容了走投无路的冉阿让，他不仅不计较冉阿让偷他的银器具，反而将一对银制烛台送给了他并嘱咐道："答应我一定要把这些钱用到好的地方。把这些银器卖掉，用这些钱让自己过得好一些。"我终于相信，人是可以改变人的，正如主教以宽大、仁慈深深感化了冉阿让，给了他无限的希望，使他彻底悔悟，开始新的生活。乐于助人，见义勇为得到人民的爱戴，摇身一变成了受人尊敬的市长。这一切使我既感动又欣喜。然而欣喜之余却又陷入了深深的思绪之中。从囚犯到市长，简直是天壤之别，这无疑是人性的巨大转变。

面对着穷困潦倒，世态炎凉，将会产生两种人：第一种是卑微的人。他们丑陋、自私、贪婪的本性再也无法隐藏。就如书中的德纳第，他为了钱财不惜一切进行诈骗，一会声称是演员，一会儿又变成了画家，但他再高明也掩盖不住他丑陋的本性。其实在当今社会也不乏有一些为了眼前利益而不择手段的卑鄙小人。如一些凭借职权贪污受贿者;在重大赛事中为得到好成绩而服用兴奋剂者;还有小到考试作弊者…任何刻意的伪装都将被识破，虚伪不可能永久。另一种则无论什么情况都能永保光明、善良、宽容的高尚情操的人。洗新革面后的冉阿让变得宽大、善良因而感化了冷酷、固执，曾一味追捕他的警长沙威。我再一次被人性的巨大力量震憾。

愿我们身边多一些主教般光明的使者，有更多人能加入到助人为乐、见义勇为的队伍中来。社会需要这样的人。
