Whenever I saw the war on TV, the scene of blood splashing all over the earth was stained with red and clear river. When I saw children running around and homeless everywhere during the war, I cant see it. At this moment, I wish the world to peace! Why those invaders cant give up the greedy desire? Why cant they just for the sake of the future of the children and stop the war? The relentless war swept away their homes, looted their relatives, also swept away their future.

How I hope the world will be able to peace! By that time, everyone has extended the hand of friendship, and everyone is equal and free. Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

窗外的雨已经淅淅沥沥的下了两周了，还是没有丝毫要停的意思，几乎到处都是湿淋淋的，墙上浸满了水珠，地上已无干处，教室里都快起霉了，太阳已经两个星期不露面，连月亮也放出一丝光，马路上堵作一团，由于雨天引起的事故不断。

比雨更烦的是我的成绩。虽说对于别人来说，年级第二已经算是不错，但是我就是不能忍受那种被人超越、被人踩在头上怎么也甩不掉的感觉。

整个初一，我都是年级第一，可现在却被人超越了。如果说之前的失误是因为不用心，不投入，那现在呢?我认认真真的做好每一科的每一堂课，作业也算是很用心，可为什么还是失败了呢?我很烦，也随之烦这场不知何时才停的雨了。

妈妈过来劝我。她说，我之前已经落下了太多，一下子想追上来是不可能的。就像这窗外的雨，不是一下子就能停的。我颓唐：“那这雨也太长了吧，天阴霾着，见不到阳光，花草树木也会死的。”妈妈安慰我说：“其实，雨怎么样，关键是你从哪个角度去看待。不经历风雨的树木长不成大树，同样的，雨的来临也可以滋润树木。每次失败不也可以警示你要更加奋斗，更加努力吗?若不是这一次次失败，你会意识到自己的不足吗?”

Thank you very much for taking me with you on that splendid outing to

London. It was the first time that I had seen the Tower or any of the other

famous sights. If Id gone alone, I couldnt have seen nearly as much, because I

The weather was splendid on that day, which I thought was rare. I still

remember some people told me that in Britain there was weather and no climate.

During the same day, it might snow in the morning, rain at noon, shine in the

I think the river trip was the best thing of all. London really came alive
