Although I’m still a freshman in this new semester, I’ve learned a lot from the past few months. I chose English as my major because I extremely love this subject so that I will continuously devote myself into it. The weather was splendid on that day, which I thought was rare. I still remember some people told me that in Britain there was weather and no climate. During the same day, it might snow in the morning, rain at noon, shine in the afternoon and be windy before the night falls. So I think I was lucky.

I think the river trip was the best thing of all. London really came alive for me as we saw it from the Thames during that wonderful journey down to Greenwich. It was all tremendously exciting - a day that I shall never forget.

雨季的杜甫草堂，人很少，却很热闹。雨打在屋檐上，落在树叶上，落在池塘中，发出滴滴答答的乐声，石缝中，坐着杜甫草堂的野猫，草堂里的游人少了，他们也很无聊，便坐在可以遮雨的地方，静静的听那雨的交响乐。雨停后，向天边望去，一座山出现在眼前，那是西岭雪山，这下也算体会到“窗含西岭千秋雪”的滋味。

It was fine today, Lily and I went to visit the Science Museum. It is about

two kilometers away from our homes, so we decided to go there by bike. We set

off at 8 oclock. At the museum we saw a lot of interesting things. We could

operate some equipment. There we met many classmates and friends. We thought we

had learned a lot and were more interested in science.

At half past eleven we left the museum for home. We enjoyed ourselves in

the museum today.

To tell you the truth, Fathers Day has been in my heart for many years. In

the past, I only knew about Childrens Day, and I didnt even know when Fathers

Day was coming. But this year, I suddenly wanted to celebrate this festival for

After eleven oclock, I quietly got up and stared at the alarm clock,

the railway station was congested with travelers who rushed to the platform like a swarm of bees and then squeezed their way into the train for seats as if there would be no tomorrow.

in the restaurants, tables were shared. a platoon of waiters filed out from the kitchen armed with various containers of eatables. orders were taken feverishly and then shouted across to the kitchen. excitement reigned everywhere as waiters ran hither and thither to fill the orders.
