Eventually it became clear that something had to be done. So, just before her seventh birthday, the family hired a private tutor Anne Sullivan.

Helen proved to be a remarkable scholar, graduating with honours from Radcliffe College in 1904. She had phenomenal powers of concentration and memory, as well as a dogged determination to succeed. While she was still at college she wrote ‘The Story of My Life. This was an immediate success and earned her enough money to buy her own house.

She toured the country, giving lecture after lecture. Many books were written about her and several plays and films were made about her life. Eventually she became so famous that she was invited abroad and received many honours from foreign universities and monarchs. In 1932 she became a vice-president of the Royal National Institute for the Blind in the United Kingdom.

After her death in 1968 an organization was set up in her name to combat blindness in the developing world. Today that agency, Helen Keller International, is one of the biggest organizations working with blind people overseas.

清明时节，牧童遥指，天地湿漉，雨再一次一滴滴地落到了地上。春街小雨，草色遥看。一滴滴雨水落在了草上，那晶莹的雨珠滚动。

在这个世界上，谁没见过雨呢？

雨一滴滴的下着，朴素纯洁，没有一点儿颜色。可我就是喜欢雨。“哒哒”的声音落在地上，比任何管弦乐、摇滚乐都要好听。

雨是一幅自然的风景画，再加上一层层雾，雨躲在其中，如同奶油包裹住了一粒粒散落的白糖，真想吃上一口美味。

雨天是多么凉爽呀！往年的时候，我和几个同学去参加夏令营。那一天，天空突然被抹上了一片灰色，下起了毛毛雨。细小的毛毛雨一条一条地下了下来，落在脸上，有一种痒痒的感觉，可是爽快。我们那时可热了，正好上天送下一阵雨帮我们凉爽凉爽。

幼年时期，我住在奶奶家，我才只有两三岁大，那时都正是我们调皮的“最佳时期”。雨后的一段时间，可真是闷呀！奶奶要去买菜我也跟了出去，雨将一些凹凸不平的坑填满了，形成了一个个水坑。看到了水坑，心中十分开心，一脚踩了进去。“啪！”结果肯定是我跟奶奶回家洗澡……

到最后，雨声渐渐小了。

下雨真好！

下雨天，适合回忆与联想，可以漫溯过去，也可以遥想未来。下雨天，仿佛有很多蓝色的精灵，赋予这个世界以新的生命。

每当下雨天的时候，我沉重的心情就似被雨水冲走了一样；雨天的时候，当正在下雨的时候，当劳累了许久后我就立刻“活”了回来，看着雨滴不同的洗刷着大地，自己也就会一种也想被洗刷的冲动，看着外面的事物，被雨水洗刷了之后，我就不知不觉的站在了雨中。奇怪，我怎么没有感受到雨打在身上的感受呢？嗷，原来我打伞了。打着伞在雨中漫步是我最喜欢做的一件事，有时候我感觉雨就像是我的好朋友，它在我难过的时候陪我哭；在我高兴的时候陪我笑。

在雨中漫步时，你会发现，小花小草们正对着我微笑，那是因为雨水给了它们生命，给了它们“太大”的机会。还有大叔爷爷看着花草们快乐的长大时，树爷爷也是无比的开心。当雨停了，我的好奇心就更重了，我很好奇那些花草们到底长没长大，这时去看他们是再好不过了。不过在这时还有个更美丽的地方，那就是在高楼看到的地方，他们一个个都像新的生命，当风吹来，那清凉的空气真是令人神清气爽，绿色的植物看起来就更新鲜了，雨水给这时节添加了许多升级，所有事物看起来都像“活”了似的。

我认为下雨天就是最美好的一天，在这四季轮回的下雨天中，多少故事在雨天生动演绎；多少欢乐在嬉戏中尽情绽放；多少温情在伞下默默传递；多少憧憬在寂静中悄然孕育；多少希望在雨下慢慢“长大”。是雨水给了大地希望；是雨水给了大地温情；是雨水给了大地憧憬，是雨水给了大地故事。

人们常说“春雨蒙蒙，万物复苏，大地写满诗意；夏雨出歇，池蛙欢唱，蝉鸣莺啭；秋雨点点，敲打残荷，声声罗晋心里；冬雨无声，巷自大地，渴望张开眼睛。
