Yet before the floating impress of the woods could clear it self, suddenly the gladsome light leaped over hill and valley, casting amber, blue, and purple, and a tint of rich red rose; according to the scene they lit on, and the curtain flung around; yet all alike dispelling fear and the cloven hoof of darkness, all on the wings of hope advancing, and proclaiming, “God is here!” then life and joy sprang reassured from every crouching hollow; every flower, and bud and bird had a fluttering sense of them; and all the flashing of God’s gaze merged into soft beneficence.

So, perhaps, shall break upon us that eternal morning, when crag and chasm shall be no more, neither hill and valley, nor great unvintaged ocean; but all things shall arise, and shine in the light of the Father’s countenance, because itself is risen.

快要放学时，整间教室突然变得很闷热，原本万里无云的天空，一会儿就转为阴暗暗的，还有小水滴从窗户飘进来，我心里想：“糟了！一定要下大雨了。”果然，由滴答滴答的小雨，转为哗啦哗啦的大雨，不时还夹杂着如爆炸般的雷声，好可怕。

放学了，雨还是劈哩啪啦的一直下着，原本车水马龙的道路多了家长急忙接送小孩的喇叭声，交通混乱了，街上的人，有的穿起雨衣回家；有的躲到附近的骑楼。路上都是五颜六色的雨伞和雨衣，在雨中看起来就像各种颜色的灯光，令我觉得心里好似有柔和的光温暖了的心，使我不再那么害怕。

当我等雨停走回家时，校园一片迷朦，好像起雾了，所有的景物都模糊不清。操场上的小草弯着腰向雨敬礼；花儿们低下头伤心的摇头，雨滴顽皮的把花儿的花瓣打乱了；大树在大雨中依然坚定的挺立着，不向大雨低头认输；小动物们也都害怕的躲进家中。下雨天看起来阴沉沉的，好吓人。

Forrest Gump, the innocent man can impact so many lives with his innocence. The meaning of the movie to me is that everyone needs to have a better outlook on life. Although life may throw us trials and tribulations like a box of chocolates, we just have to bite into it and get through it even if we dont like it. I just love this movie. 下雨天，真烦

窗外的雨已经淅淅沥沥的下了两周了，还是没有丝毫要停的意思，几乎到处都是湿淋淋的，墙上浸满了水珠，地上已无干处，教室里都快起霉了，太阳已经两个星期不露面，连月亮也放出一丝光，马路上堵作一团，由于雨天引起的事故不断。

比雨更烦的是我的成绩。虽说对于别人来说，年级第二已经算是不错，但是我就是不能忍受那种被人超越、被人踩在头上怎么也甩不掉的感觉。

整个初一，我都是年级第一，可现在却被人超越了。如果说之前的失误是因为不用心，不投入，那现在呢?我认认真真的做好每一科的每一堂课，作业也算是很用心，可为什么还是失败了呢?我很烦，也随之烦这场不知何时才停的雨了。

妈妈过来劝我。她说，我之前已经落下了太多，一下子想追上来是不可能的。就像这窗外的雨，不是一下子就能停的。我颓唐：“那这雨也太长了吧，天阴霾着，见不到阳光，花草树木也会死的。”妈妈安慰我说：“其实，雨怎么样，关键是你从哪个角度去看待。不经历风雨的树木长不成大树，同样的，雨的来临也可以滋润树木。每次失败不也可以警示你要更加奋斗，更加努力吗?若不是这一次次失败，你会意识到自己的不足吗?”

我将信将疑，把“下雨天，也是美好的”这句话琢磨了一个晚上。第二天，雨依然飘扬着，我试着换一个角度去看待雨，确实发现了与之前截然不同的景象，雨水在路上形成了千川百溪，别是一番风景，树木在这场洗礼中更加青翠了，人也在风雨中清爽了很多。我豁然开朗，原来，雨天也可以这么美好。

雨，依旧下着。我却说：“下雨天，真好!”

窗外蒙蒙的细雨打在窗上，让人心情很平静。“叮铃铃，叮铃铃，懒虫起床，懒虫起床”我的心情一下子升到了最高潮，我拉着爸爸走出了家门，我们这可是去报名，真为我马上升入初中而高兴，我们来到了六中。如果是一个外地人，肯定认不出这是一所初中学校，因为前面几幢房子，原来可是桐乡的市政府，现在竟是一所有许多人都梦寐以求的初中。

我刚一下车，就看见大门前面的两旁是那一棵棵茂盛的大树，而路两旁可是那一辆辆形状各异，颜色各不一样的汽车。大门两边都是传达室，在大门边上的两根柱子上挂着“桐乡第六中学”的牌子。每天都有不少的人走过这古老的`大门。

走进六中，到处都是树，草。简直像走进了一个原始森林，在蒙蒙细雨中静默着。大路两旁的一棵棵大树领着我们走进了六中教学楼。而刚刚走过大路是，只听见脚步声和那蒙蒙细雨声，在这种清静的地方读书，真是一种享受。

走进教学楼，楼的中间是一个大洞，走到那里细雨也就接近不了我们。那两边的橱窗里有着学生们的作品，那在我眼里，简直像画家画出来的。而教学楼的左右两边各有一个楼梯，这是通往有着朗朗读书声的地方。

再往里走是两幢完全不一样的房子，右边是一幢两层楼的食堂。那些旧了的窗，一看就知道这是一幢有着几十年的老房子了。而左边则是一幢刚建造好的教学楼，有橙和白颜色的外墙，看上去特别显耀。而右边的食堂被一棵枝叶繁茂的大树挡住了。也见不到他的古老了。在雨里显得特别的清静。

雨越下越大，树林里的宁静不一会儿就变热闹了，有雨打在树叶上的交响曲，有雨落在水潭里的独奏曲合成了一首美妙的曲子，欢迎着我们来报名。

Your letter clearly articulates all the major reasons children in Maywood will benefit from studying the Chinese language as part of their elementary school education. Although MCEA would like to see Palo Alto public schools implement the first bilingual Chinese kindergarten class in September of 2006, we have learned that the school district must take the time to understand how a new program will affect existing educational offerings, and to validate community interest. Nevertheless, MCEA, with more than 70 members, will continue to actively promote bilingual Chinese education in the Palo Alto public schools and will keep you apprised of the progress we make.
