Although the prostitutes， unclean food， and shady business dealings which he witnesses there hold no attraction for the erstwhile rabbi， they intensify his revulsion from the world created by God and therefore his alienation from God himself. Unlike Rabbi Bainish， whose intimations of immortality and consequent rededication to God precede his radiant deathbed vision， Rabbi Nechemia cannot allay his doubts until the very moment of death， when a light he never knew was there flickered in hid brain.

While his dying words—something is there—resolve his crisis of faith， they e too late to affect the spiritual renewal attained by Rabbi Banish. No explicit promise of immortality， let along of salvation， attends Rabbi Nechemia’s vision. Perhaps grace is accorded Rabbi Banish because his doubt is triggered by devastating personal losses， and withheld from Rabbi Nechemia because his despair is the bitter fruit of idle speculation about the unknown. Whatever the reason， relatively few of Singer’s characters are granted at the moment of death the transcendent vision of unity between man and God that appears to Rabbi Banish in Joy. For the fortunate few， release from time into eternity is affected by a divine visitation which obliterates distinctions between past and present， living and dead.

These kinds of characters are lost in their world because of the seducement of the material world. They doubt their formal faith and gradually give up what they believed. But after they have experienced so much hardship， they realize that they cannot adapt to the life of the outer world so they regress to the former life with formal faith. They realize the importance of God and they begin to think seriously about the relationship between man and God. At last they find their right way of their life.

It is reported that ten big cities in China are being  among the top twenty cities with the highest pollution index in the world. This means it is high time we did something to bring the situation under control.

Many factors are  to the deteriorating situation: industrial wastes pumped into the air, the lakes and rivers; a increasing number of automobiles crowding into the streets; the  use of plastic bags etc.

To my view, stiffer laws and regulations must be implemented to check pollution. Industries that release wastes without  should be heavily fined. Cars should be equipped to minimize the exhaust they release into the air. And the use of plastic bags and disposable meal boxes should be banned. What’s more, the media should play an important role in implanting a sense

of consciousness into people’s mind.

多雨莫过夏天，而我也希望夏天的雨下得越长越好。因为一到夏天，爸爸妈妈就会从城里回来帮着插秧。一插秧便得待两三天，一遇到下雨天，便又要耽误几天再回去。这时我们有足够的时间与父母亲相处，听他们说城里边的故事。他们插秧，我也帮着去。一大家人都在一块放满了水的田里。爸爸妈妈弯着腰插秧，这样效率更快些；爷爷奶奶带着小板凳坐着插秧，插累了，腰疼了，便坐在凳子上歇息一会儿，伸伸腰。而我的VIP豪华座位是一个大木盆。我盘腿坐在里面，正好浮在水上，我也不为了插秧，只便于和爸爸妈妈爷爷奶奶在一起。听他们叨叨家常，我划划水玩。有时看见水中有只蝌蚪，便不顾一切都要抓住它。我先屏息凝神，将手慢慢的放入水中，围在蝌蚪周围。眼看它就是我的瓮中之物了，正准备收手，却一个不留神，一个大跟头，跌入水中，激起一大片水花。满嘴都是泥巴，涩涩的，没有家里的糖甜，没有奶奶烧的菜咸，一点都不好吃！妈妈连忙扶我起来，现在也不需要大盆啦，坐在水里就成。全家人都笑得合不拢嘴。看我滞笨地在水里游玩，像那蝌蚪一般穿梭于稻苗之间，我穿梭于家人之间。夏天，虽然酷热，但这般清凉将热气都驱散了。

秋天一到下雨天，我就披着雨衣，穿着雨靴到水沟水洼地去踩水，像武侠片里的盖世大侠一般，手舞足蹈，兴致勃勃地进行着无实物表演。装作自己会绝世武功，而且没有人能与我为敌的傲娇神态，乐此不疲。每每当我在雨中练着“新式武功”，奶奶总要站在屋子里叫着：“快回来，外面冷，别着凉啦！”可我每每不以为意。

寒风彻骨的冬天，外面飘洒着小雨还夹着雪粒。我和爷爷奶奶都在家里，围着一个火炉，火炉上烤着红薯。爷爷边翻烤着红薯，边给我讲述着他当兵时候的故事，我入神地听着。外面的雨小了，雪花大了；屋里爷爷的故事讲完了，红薯也烤熟了。

现在，我和爷爷奶奶分居，即使相聚，也待不了太长时间。每每下雨天，我都会想起那些雨的往事。在雨中，我回忆着，怀念着……

哗哗的雨声在窗外响起，正在拧眉思考的同学，似被打乱了思路，纷纷抬起头来，叽里咕噜地抱怨了几句。

的确，雨有时很恼人，但它也有其可爱之处。无论是春天纷纷而落的小雨，还是秋天突如其来的夜雨。只要我们聆听它，理解它，相信每个人都会有不同的况味。

放下手中的笔，凝神感受今天的夜雨，发现它既不同于诗中所述的“天街小雨”般得润酥绵长，也不同于“南湖秋雨”的清冷孤傲。今夜的雨时大时小，很难捉摸，透过路灯光望去，微微可以辨别那棵高大的芭蕉，在雨的沐浴下，有种“雨打芭蕉”情调，更有“巴山夜雨”的凄迷与魂销，桂花树上的花也早已被折磨得只有零星的几朵，地上湿透的桂花也许会吟上一句“化作成泥更护花”吧。

雨是我们心中烦恼的慰藉，每每心绪繁杂，情绪低落，雨总能把心底所有的不平抹平。真想把鞋脱掉，穿上蓑衣，赤足在雨中漫步，感受东坡先生的“何妨吟啸且徐行”的潇洒与浪漫。雨好像是人间的精灵，懂得人的情思与烦恼。而我们对雨也是情有独钟的，每每有雨的时候，我们总能发出一些感慨。雨好像能将生活中的面具撕开，把最本真的自己释放出来。

可能每一处的天是不一样的，所以每一处的雨都不一样。

江南的天是绮丽的，雨也像是沾染了江南的习性，总是柔和的，类似于“沾衣欲湿杏花雨”吧。只要不是受台风的影响，江南的雨总是缓得让人陶醉，慢得让人缠绵。而北方的天是粗犷的，风沙的天气也是经常有的，所以北方的雨不像江南的雨那么悱恻缠绵，北方的雨总带着黄土高原的厚重与坚实，如流星般得砸到地面，溅起许多泥水，因此，纵然你穿了防雨的鞋也是无济于事的，终究逃脱不了换衣服的命运。一个地方的雨好像也造就了一种人的性格，江南的雨在我看来过于绵柔，虽然也能发人深省，但多了几分书生气，终究少了北方的豪气与霸气。沐浴在北方的雨下的蒙古铁骑曾经就横扫欧亚大陆，并将偏居江南一隅的繁华南宋征服了。所以，我总想让江南的雨下得更坚强……

雨似乎又大了起来，我闭上双眼，倚墙而憩。

But anxiety is not rational in nature, which means that in most cases we cannot work through it using logic as our only tool. Reason can help us recognize the relative futility of unwarranted worry but, more often than not, we will find more comfort in patterns of thought and activity that redirect our attention to practical or engaging matters.

Most of us find it remarkably difficult to focus on two distinct thoughts or emotions at once, and we can use this natural human limitation to our advantage when trying to stay centered in the period leading up to a potentially tricky experience. When we concentrate on something unrelated to our worryuch as deep breathing, visualizations of success, pleasurable pursuits, or exercisenxiety dissipates naturally. Meditation is also a useful coping mechanism as it provides us with a means to ground ourselves in the moment. 今天，母亲节到了。我决定做一件事，我要为母亲洗脚，洗去妈妈的疲劳，洗去妈妈脚上的泡。首先，我要做一张贺卡，再去煮一锅水，等水烧开了，冒烟了，我要把它倒进盆子里，然后，去买一袋花瓣放进水里面，让水中荡漾着花香的味道……。。

好了，我把妈妈叫过来，让妈妈把脚放进散着香味的盆子里，我亲自给妈妈洗脚，我的手将妈妈整天的疲劳洗掉、我摸着妈妈脚下的泡，心里非常难受，妈妈疼爱的摸着我的头，她很高兴的说“我的女儿现在长大了懂事了!”看着妈妈的笑脸我也非常的开心!

今天的母亲节我和妈妈都很开心!也很让我难忘!

周公将走未走之际，耳畔就已然传来了雨声，心中困倦之余，又惊讶雨势之大。睁开眼又躺了许久，才发觉睡意早已逃到九霄云外，于是下床，从窗户往外望，想一看究竟。

凌晨两点的黑暗中——没有月的清辉，亦不见街灯的光——单凭屋子里露出去的一丝微光，也能清楚的看见那小指甲盖一般大的雨珠，被风卷着涌进房间来、扑在我身上，这并不算很冷，但也能令人凉到皮肉里。窗外对着的一棵龙眼树，此刻成了一个漆黑的剪影，投映在乌紫色的天幕上，被电击般的抖动颤栗着。我才在窗前站了不多久，衣服就已经被濡湿了，便只好关了窗，重新躺回床上酝酿睡意。

再次睁眼，已是六点，雨还是连绵不断，天知道那厚重的雨云之上还驮着多少未倾泻而下的圣水。屋子另一边，几根爬山虎的藤蔓脱离了攀附物，直直的横伸向空气中，我仿佛看见一双恶作剧的手，试图把那根绿线扯下来，编成一张网儿去捕捉那肥重的雨滴。

几小时后，雨势渐小，四下仍充斥着雨水的气味，我闲来无事，便到阳台上去吹风。看着屋子两边那些草木，忽而想起曾学过某位先生描写雨后的景象，而此刻我眼前的，正是那“水淋淋”的绿。只是还有时不时的冷风引“无数英雄”竞折腰。风也掠过我的脸，夹杂着些水汽，湿湿的、凉凉的。我坐在搬来的椅子上，抬眼看着天上：云飘得极快，就像水面上飘浮的纸船，风一吹，天空这片湖便漾起无形的波浪，推着船荡悠悠的前行......

我摸摸被凉风打磨得光滑的脸，转身回房，提笔存下了这场霖雨给我的馈赠。

今天下午，我放学回家，刚刚到家，外面就下起了暴雨，天气十分恶劣。

我急忙跑到中山公园的公交车站牌旁。到了站牌旁，在我眼前的第一辆公交车到站了，我左看看右看看，没有妈妈的身影。第二辆、第三辆……无数的公交车在我眼前消失。风刮得越来越大，雨下得也越来越大。风刮得树枝左摇右摆，好像是无数的妖魔鬼怪在向我招手，我又冷又饿又害怕。我想回家，可又想到妈妈在雨中等我的情景，我又转身回到站牌等妈妈。

终于，最后一辆公交车停下来，妈妈从车上下来，我看见妈妈就飞快地迎了上去。妈妈说：“儿子，你来接我吗?你真的长大了。”我给了妈妈雨伞，妈妈穿上雨鞋，我们一起高高兴兴地回家了。走在路上，我感觉不冷了、不饿了、不害怕了。和妈妈走在大雨滂沱的路上，我觉得我无比的幸福!
