I have never been to Shenzhen before. Many times, I dream of visiting Shenzhen because Shenzhen is a very modern,busy and beautiful city. and today, my dream has come true.

I am walking around the city center of Shenzhen and there are so many tall buildings on the sides of the streets. the streets are very big,straight and clean.I can see the buses,taxis,trains and cars on the road. people can choose their favourite way to go to work or travel. because there are a lot of department stores and supermarkets in Shenzhen,people can go shopping any where they wanted.

At night,Shenzhen becomes even more beatiful and colourful with all kinds of light. by walking on the street, you cant really tell where it is. it may be HongKong,Shanghai.

There are many scenery spots in Shenzhen.such as Folk Culture Village, Happy Valley, window of the world. but my favourite place is the window of the world.because i neednt go abroad but i can see the most of famous places in the world.

Shenzhen is an amazing city and i enjoy my visiting there so much.

Who knows, the teacher changed the normal, kindly say: "last night go back why dont finish earnestly, ask you a few to correct the error in the workbook." Several of us took the exercise books nervously and fell on the teachers desk to correct them all. Then, let the teacher see again. Then the teacher smiled and said, "thats right. The people who read more should pay attention, the homework also cannot be careless!" We listened, and the mood was like a stone falling to the ground and running out of the office.

You say, how can such a teacher not let us like?

However, communications being what they were in the days when news traveled by foot, many people did not receive the news for several years. Others, the more obstinate crowd, refused to accept the new calendar and continued to celebrate the new year on April 1. These backward folk were labeled as "fools" by the general populace. They were subject to some ridicule, and were often sent on "fools errands" or were made the butt of other practical jokes.

This harassment evolved, over time, into a tradition of prank-playing on the first day of April. The tradition eventually spread to England and Scotland in the eighteenth century. It was later introduced to the American colonies of both the English and French. April Fools Day thus developed into an international fun fest, so to speak, with different nationalities specializing in their own brand of humor at the expense of their friends and families.

In Scotland, for example, April Fools Day is actually celebrated for two days. The second day is devoted to pranks involving the posterior region of the body. It is called Taily Day. The origin of the "kick me" sign can be traced to this observance.

Mexicos counterpart of April Fools Day is actually observed on December 28. Originally, the day was a sad remembrance of the slaughter of the innocent children by King Herod. It eventually evolved into a lighter commemoration involving pranks and trickery.

Pranks performed on April Fools Day range from the simple, (such as saying, "Your shoes untied, or I accidentally stepped on your glasses!), to the elaborate. Setting a roommates alarm clock back an hour is a common gag. Whatever the prank, the trickster usually ends it by yelling to his victim, "April Fool!"

Practical jokes are a common practice on April Fools Day. Sometimes, elaborate practical jokes are played on friends or relatives that last the entire day. The news media even gets involved. For instance, a British short film once shown on April Fools Day was a fairly detailed documentary about "spaghetti farmers" and how they harvest their crop from the spaghetti trees.

April Fools Day is a "for-fun-only" observance. Nobody is expected to buy gifts or to take their "significant other" out to eat in a fancy restaurant. Nobody gets off work or school. Its simply a fun little holiday, but a holiday on which one must remain forever vigilant, for he may be the next April Fool!

望着灰沉的天空越来越暗，看着连绵的细雨从天而降，心中有一丝淡淡的沮丧。

原来跟同学约好的，今天下午两点钟去学校看我们的成绩如何，可是一场大雨却阻止了我们的念头，因为老师家离学校很远，雨天老师是不会来学校的，见不到老师我们就无法知道成绩。

无奈，我只好在家里待着。坐在窗前，观察那犹如豆砸般的雨景。雨点一滴连着一滴落下来，天地间仿佛挂上了一个巨大的珠帘，向天上望去，窗外的景色也朦朦胧胧，只能隐约看见一些花草树木顺风摇摆，它们有种听天由命的感觉，而树叶却被雨水打的“啪啪”作响，雨水落在叶子上会溅起一朵朵小小的水花，随之那朵水花渐渐消失，取而代之的是一颗晶莹剔透的水珠。

再往地面上看，从远到近，都是湿漉漉的一片，有些地方凹凸不平，凹下去的地方会有积水，当雨点落在上面时，泛起一阵涟漪，一圈一圈，漂亮极了。

大雨降临，地面上的水潭被溅起一个个小泡泡，再顺水而流，就像一个个小球从河面飘过一样，也美丽极了。

雨渐渐的变小了，仔细观察，这时的每一根雨丝都像牛毛那样细，像一根根断丝往下落，落到水里，泛起一个个漂亮的涟漪，波纹很小，不过几秒钟，就消失了。

当雨越下越小，直至雨过天晴后，天边就出现一道彩虹，淡的几乎让人看不见，但是颜色却依然是那么漂亮。像一座弯弯的拱桥架在天边。这算是暴风雨后的美景之一了。

突然，一句歌词浮现在我的脑海中：“不经历风雨，怎能见彩虹？没有人能随随便便成功......”今天我算是真正领会到其中的含义了。以后，我会把这次暴风雨当做生活中的困难，而那道艳丽的彩虹，将会被我看做成功的标志！
