EQ stands for the high social ability for people while IQ means the ability in academic study. There is an interesting situation that the smart person who has the high IQ while his EQ will be in the opposite. There are many classic images in the screen, like the characters in the TV series The Big Bang Theory. It tells about four clever scientists are treated as freaks, the ordinary person can’t understand their words, so the four scientists don’t have the social skill. Their neighbor, a girl who is pretty but with simple mind, makes connection with them. When they communicate, the girl can’t follow the idea of her strange neighbors. It seems that less people are both high EQ and high IQ. If I can choose, I prefer to have high EQ, because we need to make connection with others, if we do it well, then we can succeed.

语言之学问甚繁。

欧阳永叔云：“醉翁之意不在酒，在乎山水之间也。”其本意乃颂山川之美景，以示醉翁悠然自得，心旷神怡之念。然今人以此句为贬用，或曰：“不可知其人之心也。”或曰：“其意不善。”此何之谓?以异眼视一物，其形意异也。

吾尝与友于午时携作业之师处。适值吾师阅卷，且下午有课。曰：“退之，此时方至，吾何以咸阅之?”吾与友乃退，方行，师又言：“今后若我课于下午。

且作业收于午后者，不必携来与我。”吾屈其意。旦日，师下午有课，吾谓友：“不必收矣。”不想适值中午，师至，大怒，痛斥我，我始知屈其意。此之谓听言须慎思其意，否则酿成大祸。

发言须谨慎，良言一句三冬暖，恶语伤人六月寒。智者与愚者之别，在于言行，智者思而后言，愚者不思即言。诚以其二人皆为友，若难，则智者暄而愚者嘲也;智者暖而愚者寒也。由此观之，发言须三思而谨慎，良言利友而恶言损友。

君子言而有信，言必信，行必果;小人言似吹风，誓始出，乃违之。故世人敬君子而恶小人。昔关公与刘玄德，张翼德二人于桃园结义为兄弟，誓死相守，终生不离，后关公败于曹操，操以为兄弟，每日以好酒好肉待之，良衣玉帛赠之，欲为己用，关公念与刘、张之誓，委言谢之，操别无良策，但留于营中，不予任务兵权。关公何等义气，欲报操之恩情，斩颜良诛文丑后，往辞曹操，操留不住，设五关阻之，关公急于见兄长，过五关，斩六将，浑然不惧，终得脱。玄德感其言而有信，后人亦感其忠义，信守誓言，立为神。吕布，认丁原、董卓为父，立誓终生孝之，然后弑之，故世人恶之。故曰：“言须有信，言行必相照，一日失信，终生无信。”

纵观历史，以言论著者甚繁，孔孟为圣，老庄为善，韩非墨翟之属亦以此闻名于世。现今世人悉言：“古人云……”之属，缘何?今人不思考，故无名言哲理，以言著者甚少。故曰：“言之难，在于思之难。”

语言乃终身之学问也。
